Hello!
From what you describe it seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results which you already did because I checked your website and it seems all is alright at the moment.
Thank you!
Done some investigation re Autoptimize plugin configuration. js/jquery/jquery.min.js needs to be added as exclude. It solved my problem.
Hello!
Our team is continuously working on this and we will update and optimize our demos also as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
in order to optimize our website for Google web vitals, we were analyzing CSS and trying to figure out what stylesheets can be safely removed.
Currently the Newspaper theme automatically inserts the following stylesheets in all pages:
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’wp-block-library-css’ href=’https://fantamaster.b-cdn.net/wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css?ver=5.3.3′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-plugin-multi-purpose-css’ href=’https://fantamaster.b-cdn.net/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/td-multi-purpose/style.css?ver=78be34af347704c29acc8080ee49e259′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’js_composer_front-css’ href=’wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=4.11.2′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-theme-css’ href=’wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=10.4′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-legacy-framework-front-style-css’ href=’wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/assets/css/td_legacy_main.css?ver=78be34af347704c29acc8080ee49e259′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-standard-pack-framework-front-style-css’ href=’wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/assets/css/td_standard_pack_main.css?ver=eccb2c408442ac58c2bcf4360ad09738′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
– <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’td-theme-demo-style-css’ href=’wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/demos/sport/demo_style.css?ver=10.4′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
The demo stylesheet can probably be removed, what about the others? Are the two “legacy” stylesheets really needed? Is it safe to remove them?
For your information, we’re still using the old visual composer which leverages wp bakery, we haven’t yet migrated to the new td composer.
Thanks
Hello,
I just checked your website and seems you use Autoptimize plugin, please disable it, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and delete the logo and add it again, and see if the problem persists.
Thank you!

Hi Tagdiv Team,
We are using the latest version of your Newspaper theme, but on our front page we get a lot of slow queries from the TD Composer. It is not a problem of server optimization (dedicated) since with other templates there are no problems. We are using a pro template from the cloud templates. Is there anyway we can optimize that so that the site would run better. Also we are using WP Rocket as a cache plugin, but out TTFB is not that great.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, all javascript files from our theme get combined into a bigger, minified javascript file which gets delivered to the client and original files get removed from the package. So, even though you edit the original files, they will not get recompiled at all and so the changes will not take effect to your website.
Thank you for your understanding!
In the description of the last update, I think I read that users can vote using a star system to rate posts (something similar to the plugin rating starts). How is this done?
Can I use it in the predefined layouts or just by creating a new layout?
Taking advantage of the thread, where can I see the video where they explain the use of the css optimizer?
Thanks

A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, then you need to deactivate Mobile Theme plugin, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

Bluehost said it was something about PHP value numbers and there were many processes happening in the background, I’m unclear? Anyway, I cannot optimize my site more than it is it has an A grading. I now updated to a more expensive plan and I’m hoping all these night performance issues will stop.
Hi, which caching plugin do you use and what other steps have you performed to optimize? Website loads really nice and fast. Is it on the latest newspaper theme version?
Hello,
For errors, please sure your WordPress(5.7) and plugins are up to date.
It looks that your images and thumbs are not optimized, for example, you can use EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, also, you can try other plugins like Autoptimize. => https://www.screencast.com/t/1qWLnnA7G Your website needs an optimal speed that’s why you need to make some settings also to help for the improvement.
By the way, we have such a great result with this new update and with our new tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc

We are building a long term collaboration with our customers. You can see on our demos what page loading speed score can a website loaded with content can have. However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile-optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
Thank you!
Hi, Vlad!
I was searching a little also, and it seems that your demos use the “optimize JS” (Minification) and “aggregate JS-file” (Concatenation)… none of this options helps with the AMP issue.
But I also found a thread in GitHub that explains the issue:
https://github.com/ampproject/amphtml/issues/28638
It is a kind of false positive given by PSI. It seems that there is an ongoing issue with the AMP devs to mitigate these notifications..
Kinda sucks, but apparently there is nothing for us to do for now…
Hello !
I have searched the e-mails too but couldn’t find anything relevant from other users to match our issue here. In Autoptimize from what I can see on our demos only this option is enabled: https://www.screencast.com/t/EzN0exRLy0pm
After you enable this make sure to clear your cache. Also if you use CDN I would wait 24-48hours to see if something has changed.
I hope this was helpful and let us know the result !
Thank you !

Hi!
The “reduction of the JS” is not an option in Autoptimize… I could find delay, defer, minification and concatanation. If I am not wrong, there is no other options (also, these options are present in another plugins – the one I use included). Am I missing something in Autoptimize?
Also, as much I use another plugins in my website, it seems that this problem is comming or from the Nespaper Theme, or the official AMP plugin (as I do not use any other plugins for serving AMP pages). Do you know where does this come from? Someone must have had this issue some other time, no?
Hello !
Yes and no, our demos for example use Autoptimize plugin and as much as we can we do offer support for it. You can activate only some functions of autoptimize like the reduction of the JS.
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hello Anamaria, thanks for the response!
I’ve disabled autoptimize, cleared cache from browser and still having the issue.
Also, I haven’t set a different header for this new category page so, unless it’s something automatic, I don’t think it’s a different one. Can you tell me what is the class for that hover styling so I can try to fix it through custom css?
Here you can see the header settings on the category and here, the settings for the rest of the site, in this case, the home.

Hello !
I have inspected your websites and both of them have files that are not loading and take a lot of time to retrieve the information as you can see here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/polvora.com.mx/Hg18PbAC/

Hello,
Please make sure you have set the same header for the new category page created.
Also, seems the problem comes from autoptimize plugin => https://www.screencast.com/t/iKJtvlwi
please disable it, clear all cache(also from your browser) and see if the problem persists.
Thank you!
Autoptimize is not a recommended plugin, is it?
https://tagdiv.com/wordpress-plugins-compatible-with-the-newspaper-and-newsmag-wordpress-themes/
Furthermore, it is a pretty big plugin, with a lot of features and customizations. If I use it, what feature should I use? Last time I tried it, there wasn’t an option labeled “fix issues related to AMP”…
Thanks!
