You can use the ad box which has 3 sections for ads: using theme panel ads -> https://i.imgur.com/KFa9ibl.png, using images/banners -> https://i.imgur.com/MfAPTaE.png and custom code -> https://i.imgur.com/2rh8SuD.png save it and will appear on the post (you can set a shortcode like a shortcode from adrotate plugin or other plugins)

If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.

Another suggestion is to ask your host, maybe they can help you with this, I think that they will know what need to be done. Here on theme support all we can do is to search on google and provide some answers from there.

I updated to 11.4.1 and it’s still the same issue.

On top, right below the featured image, the ads takes a while to load. It’s the direct Adsense ad, without any ad server.
I really don’t want to revert back to another theme. Please if you can help.

In header, there are some lines of codes. I contacted siteground to see if it is hosintg and they sad thats caused by tagDiv Cloud Library plugin that is making dozens of thousands of requests to optimize the header. This is what the Siteground support wrote me:

Based on the plugin’s functionality there is a function getimagesize which seems to be not optimized. I would suggest contacting either the website’s developer or the plugin vendor so they could review it further. For now, I have deactivated the plugin, and public access to the website is restored.
Please optimize the plugin prior to it’s activation, otherwise, we might be forced to limit the website for a longer period. The only downside of this is that the header of the website is not properly loaded now.
Anyway, please feel free to contact the plugin vendor for further assistance on the matter.

What should i do please??
After the 11.4.1 update, I still do not see this fix on my website.
I am still having the following two issues:
1. Missing Create an Account checkbox on WooCommerce Checkout page
2. Login prompt on iOS devices continue prompting on every page, even while being logged in
Screenshots of the above two items will be shown below
Issue 1 happens on desktop browsers.I fixed this issue previously by changing some CSS on the checkout page (outside of the WooCommerce code, it was the theme CSS, which is what this update is supposed to fix).
Issue 2 only happens on mobile iOS browsers. I fixed this previously by editing some code in one of the mobile menu / mobile header files.
I have made a thread on these items before. I have also previously fixed these items as well. It is not related to any other plugin that I need to disable, etc. I made changes to the NEWSPAPER THEME FILES which resolved both of these issues.
However, with each theme update, my changes get replaced with the new theme files.
I have asked politely before and ask again PLEASE SHARE WITH THE DEV TEAM AND STOP DEFLECTING IT AS ANOTHER PLUGIN ISSUE.

Hi adamuiowa, the theme panel options are now recommended only if you want to use the same AdSense code in more ad box elements, in this way you can change the code from the theme panel and will change for all ad box where it is set as a source.
If you set the code directly in the ad box, then this will make request to the ad directly without been needed to check first in ad source.
Also, I checked your website and you have some errors in console, those can make the loading of ads to be longer then it should be -> https://i.imgur.com/3xUGa1X.png
Another thing is that the Newspaper v11.4 was not tested with WordPress v5.9, so it can be an interference too. If you want you can make a full backup and update the theme to v11.4.1
Now, there can be other situations, for example if you use some optimize plugin that is set some scripts to load in footer, then the ads will be added after the content.
There are more aspects that need to be checked and I will love to take a look and see if this situation can be solved, but for this you’ll also need to improvise the website speed, right now this is not so good.

If yes, then we’ll check your website too, but for further problems, please open a new topic and explain the situation you have and provide details and a link to the website, because sometimes the same issue can be from different cause.

Thanks for your reply. I did select the right row and selected the same two column setting you did in the video, but the composer just ads another row. It doesn’t make columns. As for the ads, nothing is working. My header and sidebar ads both. The tags are in the correct spots in the theme panel, but there are no ads showing. I can get the sidebar working with a plugin but the header doesn’t show. Even dropping the code in the custom ad space does nothing.

I switched back to Newspaper last week. I noticed that the entire website loads at first and a FEW seconds later, my Adsense ads load. The Adsense load right away on different themes with the website, but with Newspaper, they are loading LAST.
I lost a lot of revenue. Because people are clicking on links before even seeing the ads.
I don’t have any plugins that manage my ads or anything. Not even an ad server. Trust me, this has nothing to do with Adsense, it is theme related. Because when I switch to other themes, they work fine.
***UPDATE – Problem is here**
I noticed something that if I use the “custom ad slots” provided by Newspaper, the ads load very slow and last. If I paste the code directly into the design without using the ad slots, they load fast.

Hello. I am currently failing to change my Article Inline Ad in https://www.bet3.gr/
I followed the instructions of this page: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/, with the td-visible attributes, as it not a Google AdSense Ad, but an HTML handmade one. I emptied cache for several times: I use the WP Rocket plugin.
But my website keeps displaying the old settings, i.e. the old HMTL code in Article Inline Ad field of Newspaper Theme Panel. There are no other relevant settings that I have changed. I am sending this e-mail on your support team 60+ minutes after the issue first arised. Do I have to wait longer? Could it be a server cache issue? Or is it a bug on ADS section of Theme Panel?

So I have a somewhat similar issue. However, doing what otggamer mentioned didn’t resolve mine. I’m on the latest version of Newspaper 11.4.
Basically, I migrated from one host to another. Now, after the migration, if I go to:
Theme Panel > Header > Logos & Favicon, all the logos (desktop and mobile) are showing a URL of “https://wordpress-722984-2411204.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/…..”.
There are 3 issues with that:
1) The URL points to a temporary Cloudways link. However, I’ve already changed my DNS away from the Cloudways temporary WP name to stluciatimes.com. I’ve already updated my permalink structure. I’ve also confirmed that all URLs are working correctly on my site. Therefore, the URLs should point to “https://stluciatimes.com/wp-content/uploads/…”.
2) The folders that the URLs are pointing to (year of 2018) have all been deleted. However, I have already re-uploaded a new set of logos.
3) Whenever I try to change the logos to the new ones I’ve uploaded and click save, all the URLs automatically go back/reset to the old “https://wordpress-722984-2411204.cloudwaysapps.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/…..” once I refresh the page.
Any assistance or ideas that could help would be awesome.

Hi Calin, thanks for you input. The issue we are having is that we have different categories on our site – ie News, Features, People, etc.
For each blog post in these categories, we want to have different advertisers, however, at the moment our advertisers ads are appearing in every post, no matter the category.
We want to be able to offer one client ad spots in posts in one of these categories and another advertiser ad spots in posts in another category. ie client A has their ads running in all News category posts, client B has their ads in all Features category posts.
Is there a way to do this?

Trying to insert Google Display Ads in top, inline and bottom ads (Newsmag> theme panel> ADS) ads are displayed incorrectly.
If we use the adaptive appearance ads became squared and too big in the article.
If we use fixed dimensions 728x90px ads goes over the sidebar.
In other my sites I have not this problem. How to fix that?

Hi,
I just changed to the Publication Pro templates. All of the site went from having a GTmetrix grade A to grade E.
I did not change anything on the site other than the theme templates. What seems to be the issue?
