I am having trouble with Mobile Pages after trying to update my theme from a older version. I have used the new custom header and footer functions and got them working successfully across the site on desktop. I have worked out how to create a mobile template to apply to all Category Pages, Posts and the Homepage. But I can’t work out how to apply a template to all other pages on mobile. Our site has six or seven existing Pages that we use. The new custom headers appear on the pages on desktop but don’t appear on mobile (I get an unedited version of the cloud template I imported).
The only way I can see to fix this is if I design all the pages individually with Tag Div and then import the content to separate mobile templates. As our pages were not designed with the Tag Div plugin the content won’t easily copy over so that will be a laborious process. Is there any easier way I can apply the new mobile header and footer to existing pages when on mobile without going through all this?

Hello. I am currently working on migrating my site to Newspaper 11. It has been shown that this requires some changes to my templates. For example, headers and footers are stored under “Cloud Templates” and the individual sub-pages under “Pages”.
What’s the safest way to broadcast this change to the live page?
Can I simply copy the number / letter code from the changed cloud templates into the existing cloud templates on the Livepage?
Is there a better way to bring all chagend Templates into the Live-Site?
I have both the old version 10 and new version 11 on a new site we need to complete a mock-up for a client pronto.
The new site is at dumbhost.us and We need the old style category template 8 applied to the new site’s categories.

NOTE that I had to change the HEADER BACKGROUND to clear just to get myself into the neighborhood of the effect. I need the effect to begin BELOW the header and not be part of the header. See the old version in my other existing site below.

Effect of course is the background is static (which is not the issue), while an open area between the HEADER and CONTENT area displays a gap allowing the background image to be seen in its primary mid-section until the page is scrolled.
The new version of Newspaper has been a learning curve that I can’t seem to find how to rebuild that section OR find a modular section in the templates. I need the effect of Category Template 8 in the old style PLEASE.
I’ve purchased THREE licenses of this theme, and after spending three hours today, I’m at the point I want to move away from the theme if this is going to be this much trouble to work with in the future. I’m attempting to understand the changes, but there is NO tutorials or instruction that I can locate.
For now, I need this ONE fix, please.
NOTE the new license asked me to create a new user account. I couldn’t use my old tag-div account ID. So that new account user name is JOEHUMMEL.

Hi, just updated to version 11 and site looks to be returned to the default configuration, nothing works… all the post has been misconfigured and all are in blank when opened.
Previously I fixed the post by selecting a style at “Default post templates”, but after the update I do not have these styles anymore, just have 2 : default and Custom (PRO) …
How can I have these styles back ?? …
On the other hand, even if I upload a picture (it was already there before I updated) for the header, it does not appear …

If you use a cloud template, then you can edit the page with TagDiv Composer. For more information about TagDiv Composer, please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
You can enable/disable them from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Template settings -> Breadcrumbs.
Also, if you use SEO Yoast plugin, then you can enable/disable them from Yoast SEO -> Search Appearance -> Breadcrumbs.

Please make sure you have the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin activated, also clear your cache, from the last update, this plugin is no longer required because the new demos are using cloud templates.
You can use a header template from Cloud Library, and you can customize it with tagDiv Composer => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo

The AMP has its own design, so if you will use it on your cloud templates, then the pages will be overwritten by the plugin. Unfortunately, AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme.

How can I add PHP code into custom single page template? I’m doing post query and showing specially chosen posts and categories in a column. I’m using Default PRO cloud template. Thanks!
And, why do the settings not apply to posts? (I have cleared cache on all levels)

You are not understanding.
All posts (pages) used the same template. There are some occasions I don’t want to use that so a few articles look different with different layout.

there where some category restriction by id’s (-25,-68) in flex block responsive settings, that are apparently not compatible when the Category of flex block is set to “current category” (to be able to load the correct articles, via this template page)

Also, if you use mobile theme, you can only hide it using custom code, but for mobile responsive version and mobile page will apply the option from Theme Panel.

In Newspaper Theme Panel> Template settings> Show Breadcrumbs is enabled. The breadcrumb should therefore appear on all pages, which was the case before the update.

I have more than 300 pages and 1100 articles in my site, so I cannot check them all but it seems that the pages made with Visual Composer do not have the breadcrumb while those made with the classic editor have the breadcrumb.
The breadcrumb is present in all the posts that I have consulted and they were made with Visual Composer.

There is this strange bug on mobile only, when you click on a main Category on header menu, on desktop, all is ok, articles showing on the Flex Bloc 2 and 1 are loading the correct current Category articles.

but on mobile, i’m getting articles from “AUTOMOBILE” categroy, in these Flex Blocs 1 and 2 instead of current cat articles.

Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
The mobile theme plugin uses a standard layout for mobile to make it faster, but for this, all your pages need to be remade using the mobile editor (so you can only add the elements that are present in the toolbar, without shortcodes (blocks) and the shortcode for the contact form (if you copy-paste the code will not work)).

I recently updated my website to the latest version.

Here are the issues
1) At my homepage the ‘Latest News’ Articles are now displayed completely (full articles). How can I change back to the
normal view of the small featured image at the left, followed by the headline (and optional excerpts), like it was since the beginning. I follow the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination template.
2) Category pages have also reverted to a different Module. I don’t understand why?
3) Mobile homepage header is not showing my website’s image logo (I will try to manually revert this back).
From the theme panel the different module displays have also been taken away?

In most cases when you get a similar message “ Error at zones: 6(models): 7(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)” then indeed it is a problem, most of the time the problem is from a shortcode that is not compatible with our theme, therefore after you set it with tagDiv Composer and save the page/cloud template, the next time when you try to edit it, you’ll get that error.

If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout.
