Unfortunately, for the moment the settings from the theme panel do not cover the flex elements and cloud templates, but you can use the website manager to see if you have set different fonts on-page or cloud template https://www.screencast.com/t/Yf961QuIqvr also is possible that incoming update to add more options, unfortunately, I do not know if this will be one of theme or not.

Yes. If you want to change the header, then you can duplicate only the header template, access that page and change/import from Website Manager the new header template.

I hate it when I have to revive old threads, even more so when they are related to persisting or re-occurring problems that were thought to have been addressed.

For the post templates they now can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/JHruoxcl And If for example you want to edit template 13 you will have to add single_template13 and loop-single-13 to your child theme in order for the modifications to be recognized.
At this moment when I activate the theme and I load my page, I see a message: There has been a critical error on your website. Read about debugging in WordPress. I am currently working on some of my website pages. As I am moving from a different Theme, I am still confused about simple details.
I had Pages created with Guttenberg (and the classic editor, not important) but don’t know how to properly show its content with NewsPaper X. I don’t see a shortcode to drag the content from these pages (About, contact, and some lading pages) to the TagDiv Composer Editor. Similar to what I can do for a Single Post template using the Single Post Content shortcode. How can achieve this?
Creating a Page Template is confused, as I just need a blank canvas to show my formatted content from WordPress pages. I don’t need any special section at the moment. I am trying to build the pages from the ground up with the Inline Text shortcode, but It doesn’t have the option to format the text.
Can you please guide me on this? What is the proper way to use my current pages content with this Theme? Thanks!

It is possible to set another logo for a special category if you follow the next steps below:
1. Duplicate your header cloud template and give it a special name, also do the same for category cloud template. Example: https://www.screencast.com/t/dXrfDzzr
2. Edit your new category template with TagDiv Composer, set your new header like this from Website Manager: https://www.screencast.com/t/AFpWrRWD5 and change the header logo.
3. Set your new category template for your special category from the list like that: https://www.screencast.com/t/sWVeszNlgMPk
If you want to change the logo on a page then you can duplicate only the header template, access that page and change from Website Manager the new header template.

I would like to use a page template with a Covid post cul (Covid category) slider at the top, and a large photo post block at the bottom with only the sticky posts of all categories.
If I publish an important post on Covid, marked as a “sticky post”, it should be displayed on the slide, and not in the large photo post block.
This feature is present in other page builders like WPBakery (currently I use WPBakery with Newsbeat theme which I will change with your theme soon)

I followed all the instructions and I managed to build the Newspaper child theme. I found all the necessary files from /wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper and i but them exactly as it was in my old Newspaper-child theme directory. Then I replaced the old Newspaper and Newspaper-child directories with the new. Still, the new Newspaper directory includes fewer files than the old one. In the old Newspaper directory, there are files like single_template_1-13.php, page-pagebuilder-empty.php, loop-single-1-13.php, header-empty.php. Should i copy and paste those files from the old Newspaper directory to the new or from another source?
At this moment when I activate the theme and I load my page, I see a message: There has been a critical error on your website. Read about debugging in WordPress.

How do I edit the post with tagDiv composer? “Edit with tagDiv” is only showing for pages only.
I have tried it by doing this using template create and asigned the template into the category post layout under Theme settings. But now if I edit the post as tagDiv composer, all the posts of same category do display the same content.
Please suggest the solution for this.

In most cases when you get a similar message “ Error at zones: 6(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)” then indeed it is a problem, most of the time the problem is from a shortcode that is not compatible with our theme, therefore after you set it with tagDiv Composer and save the page/cloud template, the next time when you try to edit it, you’ll get that error.

I think you set the wrong filter on the block set on a category page template if you want to display posts from a selected category you need to use the specifical filter => https://www.screencast.com/t/Tn5eTUmhR
If you use other filters on category page the blocks will display posts on each category.

When you edit the page with TagDiv Composer you can select the zone and add which element you need there also you can adjust them to fit in that place.
For the search to main menu, there is an element called “Header live search”. You need to edit the page with TagDiv Composer and add this element in your header.
Please note that you need to have a cloud header template in order to modify it.

We are having some problems with our website at a.avozdetrasosmontes.pt (this is currently only accessible with credentials, our staging environment can be accessed at avozdetrasosmontes.outsmartis.pt).
– When acessing the composer on the home page, it redirects to other page and we get the following error.
If we copy the code to other page, and we use the composer it works correctly.
– Similarly, we can’t edit the footer template on the composer. We created a template (“Temp footer”) to make changes there and copy the code back to the correct template.
– After logging in with a user account (no access to the wp-admin) the website acts as if the log in didn’t happen. For example, this happens on the homepage. But if we access the my account url the user appears to be logged in. This seemed to have happened after updating theme and plugins.
Please tell me how to correctly share credentials.

But TD composer is not working properly. About 9 out of 10 times there’s an issue while editing.
Need to refresh page mutliple times while editing, and still it doesn’t respond to changes made/ or in many cases it doesn’t reveal the feature of TD composer previously available.

If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
If this problem is still there, then you can look for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,
we are new to the Newspaper theme and have an issue with cloud templates. We downloaded an example template, duplicated it and assigned it to 3 different categories.
After setting up the cloud-template we go to the category page (frontend) in the browser and click “edit with tagdivComposer”.
The problem:
While we can edit for example Headlines for that category without problems the issue is that settings we make that way regarding category-filters in for example “Block 3” (kind of post loop) are synchronised in every category using that cloud-template. We want to use the same “Layout” on all 3 category pages but of course we need to set different settings on modules. We could duplicate the cloud-template a few times and only change the filter settings in the “loop-modules” but that doesn’t feel right. In case we want to rearrange positions of modules we would have to so it multiple times.
Hope you can clarify how to do this in a clean way.

Just in case I was not clear:
Let’s say we have the categories “city” and “lifestyle” – to both assigned the same cloud-template.
In the cloud-template we have included the “Block 3” module. When going to the “city” category page (frontend but logged in) and edit the Block 3 module via “edit with tagDiVComposer” and set the filter like “display 8 posts having category city or cars”, after saving we have the same results in the Block 3 module when visiting the lifestyle category page in the frontend, while headlines we edit exactly that way stay different. Both category pages need the Block 3 module (just an example) but different filters applied to.

You can check the home page with tagDiv Composer and in Manager (Website Manager) and see what header is set.
The Global Template is the one set in Theme Panel and has the menu which is set also, from Theme Panel => https://www.screencast.com/t/wrk2Q3z9 to change the menu on the homepage select a header which you want and set your menu on cloud header => https://www.screencast.com/t/4rIvzc4Km

If your designs are fully edited using tagDiv composer you can only copy the shortcodes from the templates. You will have to do the following:
Create 1 page and duplicate it.
Edit the template as you can see here:https://www.screencast.com/t/vpXRzB7FYMyV
Copy all the shortcodes from the template: https://www.screencast.com/t/ye2iAqcLVdf
Open a post template like on your new host: https://www.screencast.com/t/sXhnGhmYxJ
Select all the content from here and remove: https://www.screencast.com/t/0cgtSqguH And now paste over the shortcodes you have copied from the old template.
Simply save the template and enjoy !
