Hi,
I am using a cloud template for my home page so will it support AMP? If not then when will this feature be available?
Thanks
And here is the bug code…

Hey Calin,
Any update if it will be possible to add content page to a page template ?
I use a “Table of contents” plugin that works great but noticed if I tried enabling the footer as a page rather then from the dropdown list my table of contents plugin output gets duplicated in the footer now.
I’d rather not get rid of the TOC plugin but I do want to update to use the new td elements for pages so I can customize them easier. Any way to fix this?
I’m using litespeed cache and my CSS is being loaded from a CDN.
Non of my amp pages are working when I do this and I get the following error:
The style[amp-custom] element is populated with:

If I don’t serve via the CDN everthing works fine.
I’ve tried a few different plugins to see whether it was an issue with litespeed and i get the same problem with all the other CDN plugins.
One of my pages is displaying erroneously without a page title or sidebar – https://www.theirishplace.com/events/
It is just a shortcode for the events plugin to display in the WP default editor. I see a message at the bottom saying
“Note: The settings from this box only work if you do not use the page builder on this template. The template detects if the page builder is used and it removes the title and sidebars if that’s the case.”
https://gyazo.com/92e9a55f60e304aece64111b1b2d074f
..but I am not using the page builder, and I get this error if I do try to load it – https://gyazo.com/0fc3b487f10eed943ba70dab01a91b18
I would consider using composer to build a better page layout if I could get it to load. But even without it I have lost the sidebar now.
Any ideas?
Thanks 🙂
Hi there,
We used Category Template 20 – Fast News to create a category page. We added the Block 4 element and want to display 9 posts, not the default six. It is displaying that number of posts, but stretching the third row of images. Any idea how to fix that? https://www.goworldtravel.com/category/travel/south-america/ecuador/
Thanks!
This part is the problem: “cloud template is still on “about me” page”
Where do I set that? Can you add a screen shot of where and what that looks like?
My About page has 4 template options to chose from: none of them are the cloud template I created.
If I go to the template in composer, it looks fine, has all the content I built 4 months ago.
If I go to General Author Template and Individual Author Templates: they are set to the cloud template
Thanks,
Stacey
Hi,
You can chose each sidebar to show on article, and if you want to make sidebars for post as the one for the pages you can get a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it
Thank you!
Hello !
This can by achieved only on pages using the header manager , edit the page/template with tagDiv Composer and set the header on page/template.
Thank you!
I love the Fast News template seen in the DEMO on the Newspaper site because the top of the GRID is wide and almost fills the screen
I have been using Big Grid 2 design. I then switched to Big Grid Flex 6 but it doesn’t fill the screen it retains the same dimensions of Big Grid 2.
I have used the default demo version and it still doesn’t have the wide grid!
Is this because of the code entered on the HomePage with TD composer? How do I get my GRID to be wide like in the demo?
thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that te cloud template is still on “about me” page, also please make sure that you make the menu as in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
Thank you!
Hi.
So I have some confusion and I’m hoping that by raising a question here, it can be resolved.
Question 1 –
So we have a test environment where we have uploaded this theme and whenever we want to do some changes to our website, we first test them out on this test environment, and only when we are satisfied, we do these changes to the main website (where also the same Newspaper theme is uploaded).
Now, neither of them are activated, I mean we haven’t activated our theme. Neither on the main website nor on the test website.
Now we want to first update our theme version on our main site. We have done this on the test environment but not on the main website.
The procedure for this which we follow is –
Deactivate the theme > Delete the theme > Upload the new one.
Can you guys tell me if I’m doing something wrong here? And if that’s the case, what’s the right procedure?
Also, when I repeat the above-mentioned steps to update the theme on my live site, can this procedure lose result in loss of some settings or data when I upload the new version of the theme?
Question 2-
Infinity scroll.
It is said that for using Infinity scroll, we have to activate the Cloud Library plugin, then select a template from that plugin for a blog page and only then we can use Infinity Scroll.
Now, Cloud Library plugin is a plugin which works when your theme is activated, if I’m correct.
Now, what if we want to test it in the testing environment first? Because if I activate the theme in the test environment, my live website won’t be using the activated theme then!
What should we do in this case? Should we test this directly on the live website?
Also, tell me about the mobile responsiveness for infinity scroll because I have read at some places that it doesn’t work properly on mobile.
Thanks and Regards
Hi, I have a similar question. I am also using The Events Calendar. It creates a page for you. I can choose Default Events Template, Default Page Template, Pagebuilder + Overlay menu, Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination, or Pagebuilder + page title. Is there any way I can create my own template that I can select from this drop down at the Event settings? Basically, I would love to have a large header image, so if I can create my own template to apply here, that would be great. I want it to still look like the theme I am using Lifestyle Magazine, but just have a header image for the Events page. Again, I am allowed to chose the template for events from a drop down, so I would like to include my own modified template there.
Hi,
I already had a template for all normal posts and it works on cloud templates https://prnt.sc/o1mml5
After update theme, I see that this template is not working anymore on all my normal posts https://prnt.sc/o1mmsz
And did you fix the conflicts between tagDiv Composer and WPBakery Page Builder?
Thanks
I used a cloud template for my “about me” page. Copied the template, modified the page in composer and added the url for the page to my menu. When I click on About Me in the menu it just reverts back to my home page. The url is still in the menu as a custom link.
Honestly, I don’t know how I got that url in the first place, but it’s been working fine. I upgraded to 9.7.3 a few days ago.
Stacey
Hello !
The tagDiv Composer can apply only on elements that are from the theme. The homepage for example can be fully customized using the tagDiv Composer. For standard Header / Footer you will have to go into Theme Panel – Header / Footer and edit there. If you want custom header / footer you will have to add them from the Cloud Library: https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/
Post pages can be edited only if you use Single Post Template. Make sure that you applied the template sitewide from here: https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/ Find out more about it here: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
If you face any issues let me know. Eventually add a link to your page and what the issue is so we can inspect it even further.
Thank you !
Also, on the bottom of the page there is this info:
Warning: require(/home/smartpor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper): failed to open stream: Success in /home/smartpor/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1510
Warning: require(/home/smartpor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper): failed to open stream: No such device in /home/smartpor/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1510

The site is experiencing technical difficulties.
Hello !
This is the result I got by doing the next steps: https://www.screencast.com/t/xAnIeB9D
1. Added a Blank Single Post Template, Blank Header, Any Footer Template.
Set the footer template to be like here and delete all the content using the tagDiv Composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/S6XdWbY7IRS
2. After I erased all the blocks and unwanted stuff I added a Image box ( Element 1 in first picture ) and a Text with Title block ( Element 2 in the first picture )
If you want to make your Homepage to look like this then you will not need the Single Post template because the Homepage can be edited using the tagDiv Composer directly.
If you have more questions please let me know !
Thank you !
Hi,
In order to achieve that you need first to set the page temple on Page Builder + Overlay Menu -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ after that build the page using tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
If I understand correctly you want to hide the featured image from post/article, if is so then you need to use a post template without feture image like style 5 or 12 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/post-templates-2/ or you can use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and edit it using tagDiv Composer
Thank you!
Hello !
Unfortunately copying and pasting pages doesn’t work for the composer. But as I have inspected your page I think that Single Post Template 4 will fit your needs since it looks almost identical.
Once you’ve set and edited your template using the composer, you can go into Theme Panel – Post Settings – Default post template and set it like here: https://www.screencast.com/t/KCQj8UwX
Hope this helps.
Thank you !
Hi Vlad,
Thank you but I already have the default template and downloaded a few single post templates from library. So I can see my articles with the new theme, but I can edit posts using tagdiv.
In preview mode (pages) I have the “edit with tagdiv” button, but then a popup says “The current content hasn’t been created by TagDiv Composer!” So I can only add an element at the top, but can’t move it etc.
With articles, I dont even have the “edit with tagdiv” button anywhere…
Cheers,
Phil
OK, I realize this is surely a complete noob question — but after spending about half an hour messing with templates (including cloud), I realized I could not figure out this challenge:
How to create a landing page with no header, no menu, no footer. Just an image, some text, and a link to the home page of the site (or to anywhere).
I tried the blank template, but it still had a header and menu. I looked at the blank header as well, but I wasn’t sure how to take out the menu or connect all the pieces.
So, anyone want to jump in and tell me what I’m sure is a simple process?
Hello Simion or other Newspaper tech assistants,
I’ve been working on updating my website to the latest Newspaper version which has included trying to transition from using WPBakery to TDComposer for layout. I’ve rebuilt the Home page, About, and, Store pages but have been dissapointed with how difficult it is to accomplish what I want with TD Composer.
1.) Many of the valuable layout blocks present in WP Bakery are absent in TDComposer including the dozen WooCommerce blocks and widgets. I’ve tried but don’t find an easy way to customize the WooCommerce Store page layout using Composer. I loaded a WooCommerce shortcode plugin but don’t find any way to view it or use it when rows and columns are setup in Composer.
#2) Managing fonts has always been crazy in Newspaper. The fine granulations of font options for customization of the module, blocks, templates, articles, & headers, is almost too much to keep straight. Often when a setting change is made, it fails to affect the target line of text. Currently, despite using the Firefox page Inspector tool to track down the error, I can’t find the source of the font error for display of the post article titles in Blocks 8, 2, & 11 on my home page. They are now too large.
Somehow my attempt to standardize the site’s font styles and sizes, by adjusting settings in the Newspaper theme panel, has over-enlarged those titles. In the theme panel I don’t see any setting source for the faulty ‘Old Sans, 32px, 400, 26 line-height’attached to the titles.
I setup a new home page using Composer and added the Block 8. Despite inputing various font style data, there was no change registered on the fonts displayed in that block. The same error persists. How do I track down the source of such Font issues? Should manual font settings made in the Composer blocks, override Theme panel font settings?
Could you assist?
Thank you,
Lon Kaufmann
