For the menu go in the theme settings and then header and choose MAIN MENU and in the drop down just choose “NONE” and for the footer you do the same choose”NONE” and after you choose “Homepage-Blank” you will see nothing is on the page…

You can removed them in the menu section,this theme can do whatever you need just removed things and you have a blank white page.

Thanks for your feedback. When I select “Homepage – Blank” I get a page which still shows menu, header and footer, so that unfortunately isn’t the solution for our needs.

We are in urgent need of a truly blank page template which is 100% BLANK. Zero showing on the page, pure white. No header, no menu, no sidebar, no footer, no post loop, nothing. Sorry to say it again and again but it has to have absolutely NOTHING whatsoever on it.

I think in this theme it’s called “Homepage – Blank” also i’m using that one as well where it have nothing on the page,you have too add your own blocks etc…

Yes well that’s exactly what I did…exported theme settings, upgraded theme, updated the VC plugin and imported theme settings back in…all VC templates are gone.

Is there something I’m missing? It’s irritating that all this work has to be done again for each page, each and every time VC plugin is updated.

Thank you for pointing me to “Homepage – with article list” template, I wasn’t aware of that and although it helps a bit, it still is not a real solution becuse the problems with custom built pages persist.

Before, I also said that I use WP v3.8.1 because it is compatible with latest available version of qTranslate. However, I encountered another problems with pagebuilder there (once I added some text block and tried to edit it, I wasn’t able to save/cancel/close it) so I was forced to update the WP to its latest 3.9.1 version.

Luckily enough, qTransalate works on the frontend in WP 3.9.1, except for custom built pages as I said a few times. In the backend, I am not able to switch between post editors for different language versions but that is not a major problem because <!--:en--> or [:en] tags still work as expected.

So to put it simply, my problem is this:
When I make custom page with slider, block or widgetized sidebar that show posts, the theme also shows there posts which are not available for currently selected language.

I also tried not to use my custom built page with slider and instead, use template called “Homepage – bg + with article list” (so that I can have the upper slider, even if it is not exactly the layout I desire), but that doesn’t show the top slider at all!

I assume that it will take some time to fix these, so my question is: what and where should I change to make custom built pages filter out the content that is not available for the currently selected language? If not all custom pages, at least the slider module please.

I just copied page.php, renamed it to page-disqus.php. This is now a seperate template that looks just like the default.

What you’re wanting is loop-single.php with a loop of posts afterward like homepage with loop. I’ve found no shortcode to accomplish this. You’d need to make a new post template from the homepage with loop page template (easiest way) but that’s not a feature in Newspaper. My advice is to hire a programmer for this task as it’s quite complicated requiring js, php, html, and css knowledge to make it work.
