Hi,
@spelling A general way to disable the cropping does not exist, each module will crop the original image to create a thumbnail
– https://www.screencast.com/t/AQ1Phu9m8D
You could try to modify the crop there, or remove it, then check the results. It would be the same as before if you modified this previously. Be sure to regenerate the thumbnails after you make the modifications
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Hello raugustox,
You should try to regenerate your thumbnails using the Force Regenerate Plugin and Thumbnail Regenerate. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Then there is a problem, this is a related topic with suggestions you could try
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Now from what I can see the problem is solved
– http://prntscr.com/k9rjl3
Also the strange code that affected the website body is gone, so there would be no need for you to use the code I provided above. What you did seems to have solved this unusual issue.
Dear Simion,
I regularly import some videos and use their thumbnail images from YouTube. The thumbnails are in the 16:9 format. However, the auto crop function in the theme makes the thumbnails look strange because it cuts away some parts of the original 16:9 image. So there are always some parts missing of the original thumbnail images which looks strange.
In earlier versions of the theme I could disable the cropping feature in the td_config.php by entirely replacing the terms
‘crop’ => array(‘center’, ‘top’),
with the term
‘crop’ => false,
However, in the new theme version 8.8 this does not seem to work anymore. Is there a workaround to generally disable the auto crop function in the whole theme?

It’s strange…
Commenting this:
/* .tdm-menu-active-style5 .tdm-header .td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu>.current-menu-item>a {
background-color: inherit;
color: inherit;
} */
…this code (with !important) does not work (does not mantain the active custom color, and returns to the Nespaper’s default):
#menu-principal-1 > .menu-item-131 > a:hover, .current-menu-item.menu-item-131 {
background-color: brown !important;
color: white !important;
}
I made something wrong?
Hi,
Module 10 uses this thumbnail size – https://www.screencast.com/t/wzCxMiIO
So all of the thumbnails should be of the same size. Please check the regeneration guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Check the theme system status to see if the GD library is active on your server
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tKbwrzh6kx
If there is no problem in that regard and a regeneration does not solve the issue, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will take a look. Please also include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
That usually happens if there is a CORS problem, the theme fonts cannot be loaded

Hello team,
My web pages show the date in the publications, except for one.
I don’t know why, but I’m worried that it won’t work, maybe it’s due to some mistake on my website.
I have the date activated in the newspaper administration panel, but it doesn’t work.
Can you help me with this problem?

I may be doing something wrong, but have a strange problem
I’ve rebuilt the home page with TD Composer
In addition I’ve added a single post block and a newsletter block in the sidebar – below the widget sidebar
These show ok – but then disappear from the site, if I log out of admin and back in they re-appear – it’s the same who actually in TD Composer, sometimes the blocks I added don;t show there either, but a log out / in brings them back
Thanks
Pat
Hi there,
Have a really strange error with the theme.
I’m on the latest version of the Newspaper template.
I wanted to ask…if I try and use my Instagram account /misskay.tv it does not pull through.
However, any other account it seems to work. I have not changed anything on my account so I am confused why this is happening.
Anyone else had this problem?
1. Are you saying that in order to prevent the theme from crashing upon update, I have to deactivate the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugins? I see the tagdiv composer plugin but i do not see a plugin called cloud library.
2. Another strange thing in my dashboard that might give some clues as to what the problem is: where it lists the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin, it says it’s version 4.5.3 and doesn’t say that I need to update it. Also, on the left side, on the black vertical sidebar of the dashboard, it just says Visual Composer, not WP Bakery Visual Composer
Thank you!
Dear supportteam.
I spend a lot of time with a strange Problem…
Our Instagramfeed (in the footersection) dont work.
Instagram data error: Instagram data is not set, plese check the ID.
I try to use the cocacola ID and other IDs for the Instagramfeed but it will not work… Please help us.
Best regards & thank you!
Hi,
Regardless of form of pagination, the block will always use the same module type. In your case the initially loaded modules are with problem, not the ones that are loaded with the load more button.
Block 5 looks like this – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
I see there is a problem with the thumbnails used for the first 10 modules in that block, please regenerate them and check if the problem is solved
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also I see you are using some CSS in the child theme I believe to set a minimum height of 324px to a thumbnail that by default is 235px in height (module 3)
– https://www.screencast.com/t/isfQEWCRXdh
That would not a proper way to do it. Maybe try and use blocks which have a thumbnail size that works best for you, instead of that

Whats confusing is that if you are on a post page the word Blog isn’t present in the breadcrumb. The only time the word Blog is present in the breadcrumb is if you are on the Blog Page, which is obvious at that point. And it’s actually the only page that shows up in the breadcrumbs (other than home) which is also strange.
It is so strange, because with me on my mobile the ads on Chrome and FireFox are not shown see the screenshots:
Screenshot FireFox
Screenshot Chrome
You can log in on my website to see if everything is set up correctly, etc.

Hi Simion,
None of your suggestions worked. Here is what I have done, in case it gives you a clue:
I have created a staging site where I set up a front page. After checking the staging site, I copied it to the live site. Although the front page in the staging site can be edited with TagDiv Composer (where it doesn’t say that the page was not created by TagDiv Composer), when I try to edit the same page with TagDiv Composer in the live site, I get the message that it wasn’t created by TagDiv Composer and I cannot save it. I even copied the contents of the page (from the text editor) to a new page with the same results. I get the message and I cannot save it. The strange thing is that when I copy the contents of the same page when in the staging site to a new page, when editing it I get the message but I can save the page. So, the same contents in two different sites are treated differently by TagDiv Composer. Both the theme and TagDiv Composer are in their newest versions in both sites. Does this make sense? Does this say anything to you?
Nick
Hello,
It’s very strange, if I put the ads manually in the post if they appear, I mean I put them directly in the wordpress editor.
http://elmoncasteller.cat/primeres-manilles-de-lany-i-novetats-de-9/
On the other hand, they appear in the other types of publications that are not from the cloud temple.

Simion, hi!
I’ve installed the latest update from 27/06/2018 – http://prntscr.com/k0r67t
But … the problem with strange style of category description text is not fixed š
http://prntscr.com/k0r7b6
http://prntscr.com/k0r7uh – it still doesn’t react on any style changes in category description form
Please, let me know when this bug is to be corrected. Many thanks in advance!
Hello team,
I have a strange problem, when I update to the latest version of Newspapper (yesterday) and update the plugins too.
AMP stops working, error 404 is output. So I had to restore an earlier version.
Does the same thing happen to anyone else?
Hi,
When using the theme with existing content, you have to regenerate the thumbnails. Please use this guide

Thanks
Hi,
Iām having a strange issue with the sub-footer menu titles since about two updates ago, and I canāt seem to fix it.
On my siteās pages, the titles of the sub-footer menu items display correctly, like this:
https://i.gyazo.com/58dff19ec8916ad57bb1aae9e9583c7b.png
However, when I click on a post, the titles are displayed in code, like this:
https://i.gyazo.com/792e7aab7da9b41f0c884595e1e91c45.png
All of the links are still clickable and go to the correct destinations āthe titles are just displayed incorrectly.
This issue is present on both of my websites that use Newspaper (they have near-identical layouts as well).
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thank you.
Thanks. The URL’s are all correct when I type them in. They seem to be changing automatically when I close TD Composer, which I’m not sure how to fix. I tried making a new image info box with the default image and text, and the image still disappeared after closing TD Composer. …. strange!
Thanks Simon.
No, nothing’s changed on that file. It’s strange. I can’t seem to figure this one out yet.
Hi,
From what I can see the thumbnails and featured images are displayed at the moment
– http://prntscr.com/jz3els
– http://prntscr.com/jz3ey1
There are no errors in the page that would suggest problems.
For media library issues you could check some online topics
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-image-upload-issue-in-wordpress/
Check the permissions of the uploads folder. Also try to regenerate the thumbnails
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Images are hosted on the server, you could contact your hosting provider and ask them to check if everything is alright in that regard.
Thanks
