1. Go to “your site/wp-content/themes/newspaper” folder location and delete it (newspaper). Your content will not be lost, but please note that if you have modifications on the theme code they will be lost. You have to reapply them after the update is over.
2. Install theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
3. Check your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Issue with your site setup. Check
a) system status
b) check error log
c) turn on WP debug to test
d) look for plugins no longer supported
e) if using caching, check for errors with plugin that might be rolling you back to prior day version (very unusual)
f) check your site has not been hacked! (maybe do this first!)
a) check your system status
b) you can’t edit a page built with ‘VC’ with ‘TDcomposer’ – you need to make new one
c) clear all caching
d) check for problems with plugins, like Yoast SEO has had bugs — two updates this month(!); try disabling plugins to see which might be causing issue
e) WordPress security update this week; always good to clear transients with WP-Optimize after update AND resave permalinks to clear all micro-caching
f) is using any ‘auto optimization’ plugins, these can break things — disable, or selectively disable minification options
Also note if something “suddenly stops working” it’s because “something” changed on your website. You need to stay on top of what you’re doing — e.g., if you have auto-updates for WP turned on, what got updated? Why? What changed? Did you keep copies of earlier version to roll back if plugin update actually has bug in it trying to fix prior bugs? (ahem, Yoast!).
Food for thought anyway.
Really thanks so much for your suggestions>
I recalled another time my hosting provider and they told me that I must modify php.ini
This is my ORIGINAL php.ini file:
memory_limit = 268435456;
post_max_size = 67108864;
safe_mode = off;
upload_max_filesize = 67108864;
abd this is my modified php.ini as you told me
memory_limit = 268435456;
post_max_size = 50M;
safe_mode = off;
upload_max_filesize = 50M;
max_input_vars = 5000;
max_execution_time = 300;
Actually in system status I’ve two yellow status as you see:

Hi,
If you checked the theme panel system status
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vMCoOEY1
And these parameters are not according to the guide, these changes have to be made. If then hosting does not provide support, at least they could point you in the right direction, regarding what would be the recommended method to do this.
You can try for yourself to locate the htaccess or php.ini file and simply modify the existing values of the parameters or add them entirely, depending of the situation.

Hi,
After successfully activating it, the theme will not ask for another activation. The activation code does not disable or resets by itself. The theme code needs activation once and that’s it. You have a problem that resets the database most likely. Either it’s a malware or a plugin that needs resetting those fields. I can’t say for sure but it’s not a theme related issue.
There is an external influence over the db fields where the activation is kept. The theme only resets the key activation if the reset key button is pressed in the system status screen.
Thanks
Hi alexvaltin,
Make sure that your theme is fully updated to the latest version of it via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Also, check your system status to be according to our documentation if you want to bring best theme results. Check your plugin’s list and if you have some untested elements with our theme, you should remove all of these because some problems might be caused by them.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello edelalon,
Check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Changes I do in the theme panel have mostly no effect… I changed the logo f.e. but it still showes the original News8Paper logo. I did everything right and also saved. I have everything done in the system status.. Please help me out!
Hi mr. Bogdan
Thank you for your answer.
I’ve a doubt about settings you suggested me.
About here https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
I read:
Note – Before trying any of those check the host documentation to see what’s the recommended method. The location of the php.ini may also differ from one server to the other, usually it’s located in the wordpress root, but on some servers it may be found in another location, you have to check the host documentation for more precise details.
I don’t know what file I have to modify:
php.ini or .htaccess ?
I tried to call my hosting service but they told me they can do anything.
Could you help me please?
My site is: unitusflash.it
Thanks in advance for your reply
A.

Hello bolgam2,
First of all, check your system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Most likely, you system status has exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello techinternational,
Please check your system status parameters to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, if the problem is still there with the activation, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page and also, so I can try to activate it. Hi,
Please check the theme system status section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TFPsnKgO8
Make modifications to the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in this guide, if requried
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make these changes for you, as they might have a recommended method in this matter.
If there is still a problem, please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and clear any installed cache. Then check in the theme panel while saving settings, if there are any errors in the browser console. Press F12 to bring up the inspector window and then open the console
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ENQ5a8CB8
Check if there are any errors in this console. The admin ajax process could be blocked by the server, because of the multiple requests that it makes. In this case you can contact the hosting provider and explain this situation or provide a screenshot with the error.
They should be able to fix it if this is happening.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
Please try as a first step to deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins, and clear any installed cache. Then deactivate and delete the tagDiv composer plugin and install it again from the theme package.
After this create a new page and check to see if everything works as it should, regarding the row background options.
Also take a look to the theme system status and see if the WordPress and server parameters are set according to this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If there is still a problem please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information, so we can investigate.
Thanks
Check your system status in the panel as good first step …
Hello DaveS,
Those are a lot of warnings. Something is not functioning properly, or there are plugins conflicting between them. What you can try, is to deactivate all your plugins except the ones provided with the theme, and clear any installed cache. Also, check any custom code you might have entered in the theme panel, or directly to the theme files. If you use a child theme, switch to the main theme.
Then check if the problem is solved. If it is, activate the plugins one at a time, and possibly identify the cause of the issue.
Also check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide , if necessary
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can ask you hosting provider to make them for you if needed, as they might have a recommended method in this regard. These modifications are requires for the good functionality of the theme and plugins. Having many plugins can exhaust the allocated memory.
Thanks
Hello,
Please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Also please increase your system status parameters as mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hi,
The license can be activated for one single end product, according to the Envato terms. The Envato policy allows to use a theme only on one install
– https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
If you decide to change domains you can simply reset the theme registration key in the system status section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CEFH7vSP
Then activate the theme again in the new location. The theme can be used on a sub-domain for testing, but for different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed.
Thanks
Hi,
If there are no errors present when installing the demo, then everything should work as intended. First select either you want to install the demo with content or just theme panel settings and style, and click install. The import process should work properly.
Please also check the permissions on your upload folder. More useful information here
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
The second step is to make modifications to these parameters if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to check these for you, or make the modifications for you if needed. They might have a recommended method in this matter.
Also disable all plugins and clear all caching before installing a demo to make sure the plugins do not interfere with the process.
If you have made all the above mentioned changes and the result is the same, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide all the necessary information (admin login, FTP access) and we will take a look. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks
Hello ikkir,
Please check the following topic here -> Notice that the speed booster is an optional plugin which can be activated in the same way as you install a new plugin.
The Speed Booster works only with the tested plugins. If you use other plugins, it will be automatically disabled, and I suggest to check this first in System Status. However there is a workaround to make it also work with other plugins, you can read more here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/
Unfortunately, the time doesn’t allow us to provide any custom and optimization services. We provide support only for the theme related issues based on Envato support policy – https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy I suggest to get someone to help you if you want to optimize your site.
Thanks for your understanding!
1. Check your System status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
2. Install Theme via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
i have set the value of max_input_vars on the php.ini file to 5000,
but it still showes me max_input_vars 1000 in System Status bar and still
colored yellow.
please,what am i doing wrong?
Hello i found this on system status when i want to using Speedboster…
v4.7 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: envato-wordpress-toolkit-master/index.php
How can i fix it..
Thank you
Site partly working and keeps asking me to activate theme.
My site is not functioning properly. The system status says the theme must be activated, but when I activate it and go back to my system status it tells me to activate again. I have sent an e-mail to activate@ but perhaps you might follow through on this as it is most urgent.
Many Thanks
