Hello msimktg,
Why do you have installed the Mega Menu plugin since the theme has this option by default? Why? Please notice that plugin is not tested with the theme and most likely, all of these errors are caused by it. I have inspected your website and I saw that you are not using the latest theme version, and also, you use the child Theme. If you want to achieve the best theme results, first of all, update your theme to the latest version, switch it to the main theme, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all of your caches and purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and then, check the results. After this, if you have errors with the theme, please let us know.
Thanks for your understanding!

We have update our sites to V8.0 recently and came across the next problems/failures:
1./ In categories list display the PAGINATION STYLE ‘Infinite loading’ is not working anymore. Although the ‘spinner’ is shown NO new posts are loaded and shown.
2./ In the single post display (irrespective the chosen Style) the content area is displayed with the same width as the container, with the sidebar on top of the content. A small change in the style.css by isolating class .tdc-row (not defining width ) from the .td-container (container sections (line 445, 730, 838)) corrected this behavior.

In addition to issue 1. Deactivated all non-TagDiv plugins to check on a possible Plugin conflict, but this did not help.
Hi TagDiv Team,
I’ve been your customer for 3 years. I’ve always like this theme, but I think it lacks something very important: Post customization
It’s good that you guys focus on visual appearance of theme, but post is an important area. To make the post interesting, we should be able to user different attention grabbing boxes, tables, impressive pros and cons tables product reviews, and so on. Take a look at this page for example: thankyourskin.com/how-to-get-rid-of-acne/ (notice boxes like ‘key takeaways’, ‘information box’, another boxes with built-in CSS and so on) and this: 10beasts.com/best-wireless-earbuds/ (they use thrivetheme and they offer built-in post customization options with custom tables, navigations, pros and cons.)
It would be great if you guys can build these and focus on post elements options. For posts like reviews, buying guides, these elements are very important. Visually appealing post also increases visitor’s average time on site. I hope you consider this in the upcoming updates.
Thank you!
Today I updated from 7.8 to Newspaper 8.0 and ran into a lot of problems which costs me a lot of time.
The problems are related to td composer and visual composer.
Followed the guide and instructions but it’s not working properly and is not userfriendly.
After the update there was showing a widget with title contents in my sidebar, strangly though it was not showing as a widget in the customizer.
– Big Grid gets glued to a block when changing row layout.
– When I add a block and want to remove it later I get this error:
Errors happened during tdcIFrameData.TdcLiveView -> customRender!.
– When switching to Visual composer and adding a block to the homepage the block-title is not showing.
Glad I made a backup. I’m switching back to version 7.8.
Such a shame. Never had problems before with template updates.
Hi Simion.
The auto update was turned off. I checked in the config file myself.
We weren’t planning on updating to Newspaper 8 (or higher) until another year or so. We bought the Theme mainly for the support. The previous developer hijacked my clients site and we don’t have access to the original theme any more. So I can’t completely remove and re-install it. If I just change themes I will end up with the same problems so I’m stuck.
Would you be able to send me a zipped file of v6.5.1 and a good install / re-install guide? I have to be really careful because the original developer didn’t create a child theme and some templates / functions are modified. Thank you.
Hello,
I updated to the latest version of Newspaper and page views stopped working properly.
We have 50+ authors and this is their favorite feature. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this feature.

We also use Cloudflare, let me know if you need additional information.
Thank you for your time and help.
Hi, I’ve updated the theme files via ftp from 7.8 to 8.0 and then when I’ve revisintg the site and clicked on the dashbord link in the wordpress nav bar I’ve been given a 500 server error, If I revert back to theme 7.8 all works fine, any ideas?

Hi,
Please revert the visual composer version to version 5.1.1. We have not yet released the new version and have not yet made the proper implementation for the new version of visual composer. Please read this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-update-21/
If you updated the plugin and edited a page pressing the update button, then that page must be re-created as it will not revert back to the original.
We only recommend using the visual composer provided by us in the theme package, not the one provided by the plugin author as we need to adapt the theme to the new code. Updating without our intervention can cause incompatibilities such as the one you are facing now.
Thanks
Hi.
I’ve updated my Newsmag theme to 4.0, but since the update the cronjobs has stopped working. I’ve looked through every logfile and analyzed every module being used.
I know it sounds weird, and I’m not 100% sure that it’s NewsMag 4. But here goes. Has anything changed in functions.php + the child functions.php, that could trigger that behaviour.
I haven’t changed anything else on the site, and I just need someone else than me to either verify or clarify 🙂
In Newsmag 3.x this line
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘theme_enqueue_styles’, 1000);
In Newsmag 4.x it’s
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘theme_enqueue_styles’, 1001);
I really don’t know what I’m looking for.
But has other using NewsMag with childtheme had problems with wp-cron not getting scheduled post and scheduled database backups run???
Hello andromeda01,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have updated your Visual Composer to 5.2 version, why? Please notice that version of Visual Composer is not yet compatible with our theme and that’s why you have encountered this error. Try to roll back to the 5.1 version of Visual Composer and check the results.
If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Please note that the option to update the Visual composer is not available when using the Visual composer provided in the theme package. I believe that is a possibility only for purchased plugin licence and you update manually, or by automatic update.
We do not include versions of Visual composer that are not properly tested and fully compatible with the theme.
Check the theme system status and see if the WordPress and server parameters are according to this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could try to reinstall the theme you have currently
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Deactivate all other plugins as a test, except the known to work Visual composer version. Then check if this has any effect. Please consider making a full backup if you do not have a stable backup already, before trying this.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately creating a layout like the one you mention is not possible with the theme. There can only be a number of three equal columns maximum
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pqAgIcUwc
That is how the theme is designed and recommended to be used. This will ensure that the page building elements will always display properly.
I am sure that you can find a layout you can use, and create your pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More elements and options will be added to the tagDiv composer in future updates, exclusively.
Thanks
Good Morning Developers
How do I fix the problem below? It appeared after the installation of the “Newspaper” Theme
Warning: tgmpa was called with an argument that is obsolete since version 2.4.0! The configuration parameter parent_url_slug` has been removed in TGMPA 2.4.0. Hi,
I believe you might have updated the Visual composer editor. There are many similar topics on the forum. The currently included in the theme package and compatible plugin version is version 5.1.1. It is strongly not recommend to update the editor (option available for purchased plugin licence) before it is officially supported.
When Visual composer receives an update it will first be tested with the theme and then included in the package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-update-21/
What you can try is to deactivate and delete the updated Visual composer plugin, and install the one provided with the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
I could not say exactly if or when such a feature will be available. We intend to add more options with each update, and also take into account user suggestions and recommendations. This list is increasing daily, and it is hard to decide what gets implemented as soon as possible, and what gets delayed.
We will just have to wait and see what will happen.
Thanks
Hi,
It could be possible for this to happen in future theme updates, but I could not give you an exact timeline. I believe there are free plugins that you could try and add this social on your website, in the meantime.
Thanks
Hi,
If you mean the front-end option of Visual composer, this is disabled in plugin version provided with the theme.
In most cases installing the plugin version from the theme package provides a fix for this issue. It is strongly recommended not to update the Visual composer plugin directly from the author if available, before supported officially. We test Visual composer properly before including it in the theme package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If installing the 5.1.1 version from the theme bundle is not fixing the issue, I don’t have a definitive solution at the moment. Try updating the affected pages, and clear all caching installed.
Thanks
Hi,
If you installed the previous version that worked before, it should work now as well, if no other changes were made.
However, maybe you should consider updating the theme and the bundled plugins to the latest version. And also WordPress.
If you decide to do it, here is a useful guide with theme update information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The FTP method is recommended in this matter. Before making the update, please make a backup as mentioned in the guide, just to be safe.
Thanks
Hi,
That could be the result if you updated then Visual composer plugin to the latest version. It is strongly recommended that you do not update Visual composer directly from the author (option available for a purchased plugin licence)
When an update for this editor is available, we will first test it and then include it in the theme package. This will ensure full functionality and compatibility with the theme. The current version bundled with the theme is 5.1.1.
What you can try if this is the case, is to deactivate and remove the updated plugin, and install the Visual composer from the theme package. Then check to see if the problem is solved.
Thanks
Hi,
I appreciate really this community.
In fact, as I really need the full width on post (and not just the header or other effect but all the website), my question is: this feature will be available in the future (I mean, do the creators intend to add this feature in a next update or really we will never see that?)
Thanks again!
Hello tagDiv team,
I’ve just updated to new version 4 and have a problem with icons – down arrow in menu bar, search button, visitors icon and so on. I’ve never experienced such a problem till this version. My site is with Let’s Encrypt SSL and SSL plugin to deal with mixed content. Also I’ve switched to your new composer.
Also I’ve experiencing slower load speed, worse google speed test, lagging after update ;(
You can see my site on vivata.bg
Hi,
That depends on where you want it to display. The modules for example will not display custom taxonomies, only default categories.
In the post page you can choose to display from the available taxonomies, in the CPT&Taxonomy section in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/
Those are the only options and settings for custom post types available at the moment. There could be more support added in future updates, but I could not say for sure when this will happen.
Thanks
Hi,
All the available block post sorting options are mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
As stated above, there may be more options added in future theme updates, but for the moment you can only choose form the available ones.
Thanks
Hi,
Like many people here reading the forums it would seem that I made the mistake and updated Visual Composer to version 5.2 which is clear has caused a lot of problems as you know. I followed your advice and deleted 5.2 and re-installed 5.1.1 from the Theme however all the problems are essentially still there.
Is there a current solution to this as I have many pages impacted and I’m not quite sure what to do?
Need to update all your links for logos and whatnot in your theme panel settings.
Also may need to do search/replace in your post-meta via phpmyadmin for any images ‘placed’ into posts in your dbase.
Many tutorials on how to do that online.
