For more information about theme updating, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Our recommendation in this regard is using FTP method because this is the surest method for updating. First of all, you will have to do a full backup for your data to be sure as you do not lose all of your customizations and afterwards, you will have to remove your old theme version and add the latest one which you have downloaded from Theme Forest. Please notice that this is the best and safety way to update your theme.

it throws me the following error even on the Top of the Top header Menu(-

I have tried activating and deactivating various plugins but in vain. It is happening after the latest update of Newspaper theme 7.
I have raised this issue earlier too but in vain.

Please ensure that you have fully updated your theme and the required plugins to the latest version of them only via FTP because this is the surest method in this case. Also, please notice that our theme is not tested to the latest version of PHP (PHP 7) and it might occur some errors in it. For achieving better results in this regard, please check the requirements for your hosting provider to be compatible with our recommendation, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ If you meets these requirements and if your problem is still there, please let us know and also, please provide more details about what’s your server configuration.

This is just the 1.0 version of the mobile theme. It will have more options in the future. This primary version is the testing version so we can see if it caches on and if users like/use it. if it will grow in popularity, it will certainly be improved and updated.

Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. If this issue is caused by wordfence(known issue) please set the firewall for it in learning mode.
Also, please update your theme to the latest version (7.1.1) as there was an issue with the theme settings that was fixed.

First of all, please ensure that you have updated your Social Counter to the latest version of it (Social Counter 4.0) and also, for Visual Composer to have 4.11.2 version. I’m trying to update the social media links in the newspaper wordpress theme, but the links don’t seem to be updating correctly on the website. I’m editing them in Theme Panel -> Social Networks and entering my facebook page ‘foobar’ in the input box for Facebook, but after saving, the link is rendered as http://www.myhostname.com/foobar instead of http://www.facebook.com/foobar. Is there anything I’m missing here?

Using BigGrid2 on the home page and suddenly it stopped working. http://patientworthy.com/ We’ve been using this for at least 6 months and haven’t had any issues. Also noticed today that Visual Composer wasn’t working so I downloaded it from the latest version of the Newspaper theme and re-uploaded it. Now it works but the grid still isn’t working properly. Recently upgraded WordPress to 4.5.2. Haven’t updated the Newspaper theme to 7.1.1. Tried to add another BigGrid in preview mode and it didn’t load properly either.

Before we check this, please update your plugin as this is a well known issue caused by the new version of wordpress and visual composer under 4.11. The social counter needs to be updated as well. The new version of the theme requires the new version of the social counter so please deactivate and delete your current version and install it again from the theme;s plugins section.

The words on some posts using Smartlist 2 seems to have dissappeared. Photos and headings are still there but text in the body of the article is not showing up in the front end. Example: http://travel2next.com/things-to-do-in-munich-germany/
Strangely, other posts with the same smartlist are fine. Like this one

Also, ads are not appearing in the body of posts using smartlist. Why?
We updated to 7.1.1 yesterday.
