Hi,
Tried to update to the latest version of the theme but needed to immediatly install a previous version as it caused the top menu to duplicate.
There might have been other issues as well but duplicated navigation menu that looked completely messed up where very obvious.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for it, sorry! I have added this suggestion to our list of improvements. In a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though. Until we can do it, you can use a plugin.

If you problem is still there, please try this tool from this link here -> https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ There you will have to add the certain URL for your post with this problem and you will have to press the Fetch new scrape information to update the data sharing for your post and then you will have to try again to share this and check the result.

Please try to make a new clean install with the latest version of the theme and install there all the required plugins and check the results. Please notice that all of these processes have to be done only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Try to clear all your caches and check the results. OK So I updated the theme and deleted the visual composer plugin, but now I cannot find the visual composer plugin on my computer… where do I get this?
I did the clean install. Deleted the earlier theme and then uploaded new one. But still the same issue. No template, only in dropdown. Though VC is working now.
Also, whenever there’s an update notification, will I have to re-upload the theme every time? Because that resets all the setting in theme panel. Please answer.

Just a suggestion to make it easier for everyone: would you mind adding a link to the top of the Themeforest Newspaper page. A single line below the first image that reads:

When you click this link, it moves you to the changelog section at the bottom. I’ve seen other themes do this very effectively. At the moment, you have to scroll through all the features (and there are many good ones!) 🙂 before you can view the latest changes.
Most people won’t know the changelog is there unless they’ve scrolled to the bottom. So they can’t see that you make regular, excellent updates!

I’m experiencing the same issue – and have just followed the steps in “How to update Visual Composer plugin” as per the recommended post.
My backend editor just hangs when I click the icon – none of the templates or elements do anything when I click on them.
I had this working fine when I first bought the theme last year and tried it all on a different site. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong?

Social Counter 4.1 does not show up in Safari on OS X. I just updated to the latest (25 May 2016) Newspaper theme and associated plugins.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Social Counter using the WordPress Plugins deactivate/delete/install function. I also removed/reinstalled the plugin via FTP. I do not use any caching plugins.
Anyone else having similar experience? Any suggestions or insight?

I tried about two times on the AMP plugin, but on Search Console I got a lot of errors. 😀 So I removed it, I think after the update of Newspaper mobile theme their needs some more coding to fetch AMP pages by error free fetching.
As Google announce the next future of website as AMP, a lot of persons (including me) are looking for themes that supports AMP plugin without any error. If Newspaper provides it then Tagdiv team will hit another milestone as on Theme forest.

First of all, let me congratulate you guys for a great (and ever evolving) magazine theme) !
I love everything in the theme except the tweet buttons which still appears here after many updates since it became obsolete.
When I choose social share option above & below the article, I have an option to choose the standard share buttons along with FB likes & tweet button. Tweet button was as relevant as like button which used to show the total tweet-counts. But since this has been discontinued, it no more serves the purpose. And having it along with Tweet button (wide) is more of a repeat element which does the same thing.
Will this be removed in future version or kindly enlighten me if I haven’t understood its usability?
(I understand it can be done manually, but I believe that the saved space can be used to accommodate some more features).

I use header style 5.
In your demo site Politics(World news) you use header style 11(the style is different from your documentation/header styles-to update)- Active main menu tab or on hoover changes background colour and TEXT COLOUR (becomes white)
In theme settings/theme colours/Main Menu you have:
-MENU BACKGROUND COLOR – I have white
– ACTIVE & HOVER COLOR – bleu
– MENU TEXT COLOR – black
But there is no MENU TEXT ACTIVE & HOVER COLOR.
I tried to find the code which makes the ACTIVE/HOOVER text colour change in style 11 – can’t find.
Can you indicate me the source and code of it – that I may apply it to the Hedaer style 5.
