Regarding the first warning, that section deals with the custom fonts. Did you added anything on that section? And the second warning we have this on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible(hope next update).

You can find Chris’s recommendations in this regard here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/#post-37493 so you can try like he recommends doing this.

You can also try and test the minified version we use on our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/themes/011/style.css?ver=6.5_d38 but make sure that you use latest theme version.

We use cloudflare’s mifnication on our demo without any issues. We still need to test this more rigorously and we will do that in the next few days so we can be positive in this regard but you could try it yourself and see how it goes. We will update this tread once we test this and have and accurate answer on this.

@glennwpaul If you don’t use it to create your page(s) you can disable it. We have released a shim version in the past for Newsmag theme, but we have to do some tests to see if it still works. In the Newspaper ver 6.5.1 we already provided latest version of Visual Composer.

@paulberrow The latest version of Visual Composer was not tested with Newspaper 4 and some issues could appear. I suggest to update to the latest theme version using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ to make sure that Visual Composer will work properly.

@zeus Please make sure you update the theme properly(try via ftp) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ then disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and check if you still have this issue.
You should not have any issues as we tested this before release.

Hi,

Please make sure you update the theme properly via ftp, make sure all the files were uploaded. Then clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN and also disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer and check if you still have this issue. Also disable any css/js minification.
The latest version of Visual Composer was tested with the theme and we did not found any issues.

You have to use the Visual Composer provided with the theme version you have on your site. The new version 4.7.4 is tested with the latest version of the theme, so if you want to use it please update to the Newspaper 6.5.1.
If you update to version 6 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ please also update the child theme, you can find it in the /code folder from theme files that you download from themeforest.

If you update from version 6 to 6.1 for example you don’t have to run the script.
Please provide more details.

Hello ronnie,
The latest version of visual composer was not tested with version 4 of our theme (it did not exist back then). If you want to use the latest version of visual composer, you have to update your theme to the latest version (6.5.1) as well. And only install the visual composer plugin that comes with the theme.
With newspaper 4 please use the plugin version that comes with your theme files.
