Hello,

I just updated the theme but now my slider is not displaying properly. Any idea why?

I purchased the Newspaper theme last night. The key was the magazine style homepage.

Whenever I create a homepage everything seems to be working -I can add blocks and update the settings – but when I go to update the page it simply wipes all my changes from the visual composer. And I am welcomed to Blank Page – I have no content yet!

I can also not preview any of the changes.

All I have managed to get to appear on my homepage is a latest articles list.

I also haven’t been able to get the big slider to work.

My site has existing content (600 posts).

I have deleted the WPBakery plugin and reinstalled from the provided files. I have deactivated all my other plugins and even deleted some redundant ones. Still no luck.

I’m at a loss. Without a magazine style homepage the theme is lovely, but redundant to me. I’m the first to admit that I’m new to wordpress, so I really hope its something I’m doing that I just can’t see through.

Any suggestions?

My site is loading very slowly and sending out a bunch of 504 errors. Got this from my hosting company:

The top result showed a large number of hits to admin-ajax. To get a little more information, I added the following line to your wp-config.php. Basically, this creates a text file in your wp-content folder that contains a record of all hits to your ajax file. I let that run for about five minutes. Please note: if you’re ever going to try this troubleshooting step from your end, please be sure to remove that line from your wp-config.php file you’re done. If it’s left on for long periods of time, it can create a VERY large file.

The following action was seemingly hitting admin-ajax up to several times a second:

We’ll keep looking into this to be sure that it’s those admin-ajax hits contributing to the 504s, but I wanted to pass along that information in the interim.
