I have the same issue. My mobile home page displays on a computer. It happened after I updated to WordPress 5.9 and the newest version of Newspaper theme. I updated both on the same day. https://MrElectrician.TV

I am creating a profile page for simple users/subscribes where they can edit their profile information like name, surname, gender, DoB etc.
This page was supposed to be that page.

  • I used tagdiv composer’s “Page Account” element.
However I can not open account settings section or add a custom section on my own.
How can I activate, edit, and upgrade this element/page?

    Hi,

I just checked and the website looks fine -> https://i.imgur.com/jin4LVx.png
Also, I recommend that for future updates when you want to do them, make the update with only tagDiv plugins activated during the update process, and deactivate the other plugins.
There is a possibility that some plugins may interfere with the theme update process.

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I’ve checked your website and it seems to display the responsive version of your desktop on mobile. Please make sure you assigned the mobile page to you desktop page: https://www.screencast.com/t/cI3kmlNrcklY -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If the all settings are correctly done, then this issue can be from a cache plugin. Please deactivate all the cache plugins, delete the cache from your browsers and see the results.

    Thank you!

    Hi Bettina

I didn’t mention issues with the TagDiv composer, that’s functioning fine. It’s the post editor in WordPress that isn’t showing all the options for quotes, ie: no block or pull quote option? It’s simply not there. It disappeared three updates ago, around the same time we migrated to Nginx which is why I assume the problem is related.

I don’t however see how permalinks, which are functioning perfectly, could affect this part of the editor. Do you suggest the workaround you offered would resolve issues in the post editor?

Since WordPress 5.9 our block editor no longer shows as WYSIWYG.

Our headers appear as the same size and weight as our paragraph text making it difficult to structure and write.

We hoped with the recent Newspaper theme update the issue would be resolved but it is still occurring.

    How can we fix this?

I have updated the Newspaper theme on one of my websites and got a few errors. Especially when I enable the mobile theme plugin, it starts showing a critical error page. Refer: https://www.screencast.com/t/abR9kDQW
    Setup:
    – WordPress 5.9.
    – Newspaper 11.4.1
    – PHP 8.0

I tried disabling all non-tagDiv plugins but no luck.

I’m having a trouble since last update.

So, I have made 5 “single/post” templates in “Cloud Templates”: https://prnt.sc/26r0x09

I want to take one of these “Single template (post)” to use in “Singles posts from a Category”, like https://prnt.sc/26s47jy

When I try to get a template the template to a specific category, doesnt appear 2 of them https://prnt.sc/26r11eiy

I have the same problem. Please, is there any procedure I can try before they release this update?

    Hello Bettina,

    many thanks.
Please find a video here: https://www.screencast.com/t/MBdtBzW0c

The standard setting for typography in the block settings when editing a post (custom post template) is 32.
On the live website: https://www.chillipicks.com (WP5.8/Newspaper 11.3.1) all body text in posts is displayed correctly according to my font settings in theme panel.

After updating my test site https://staging.chillipicks.com to WP5.9 and Newspaper 11.4.1 version (all plugins updated as well) the block text of existing posts is not displayed correctly – too large. I did not change any settings for fonts in the theme panel.

When I edit a post and change the typography from 32 to either 15 or even 50 the preview of the post shows the correct font size for the block text.

Many thanks for you advice on what to do.

P.S. Viewing of the test site is protected by a password (so it’s not scanned by search engines) which I can share in private.

    Hello,

I’m glad the theme update was successful.

    Thank you!

    Hi Anamaria,

    thanks for your answer.
Raw Html is an option, but I prefer to use tagDiv Composer Newsletter element, due to styling and a few other options.

If tagDiv Team does not have a way to get it to work, will they fix it in a future Newspaper theme update?

    Have a successful day

    Andrew

    Hello,

    @pavel_t
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ please use method C (via FTP/cPanel/File Manager), also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.

I just answered here in your own topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/upgrade-to-11-4-1-distorted-my-blog/ please check it.

    Hi @EM,

No, you can let the tagDiv plugins be activated and try to update the theme.

    Thank you!

    Hello!

First of all, please make sure you have the latest version of the theme(11.4.1) and plugins, and all the requirements are done as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Please let me know the results!

    Thank you!

Thanks @anamaria, I have access back to back end now.

So when updating the theme, I shall deactivate all plugins, including Tagdiv mandatory plugins, then I update the theme and finally I reactivate all plugins ?

    Hi
We’ve had an issue with selecting quote types, present for the last three updates. In the post editor, no choices show up other than the standard quote. I suspect it’s a plugin conflict although we’ve disabled these individually. I notice the problem is not present on a standard Apache server, but we’re running Nginx on this particular site. Could this be causing the problem? The website address is https://medika.life.

    Hi …
I have website built on WordPress with Newspaper v9 … and I want to update all to 11.4
The question is how to do this properly?
I made a copy of the files and database on different server … uploaded newest theme, so system detected old plugin, updated them and from the backend perspective everything looks fine.. but on the main page I can see a lot of shortcodes like:

    [td_block_big_grid_1 mx5f_title_font_family=”” mx6f_title_font_family=”” mx20f_title_font_weight=”500″ mx10f_title_font_family=”” mx10f_title_font_weight=”700″ mx9f_title_font_family=”” mx9f_title_font_weight=”700″ mx5f_title_font_weight=”700″ mx6f_title_font_weight=”700″]

Where is the problem? how to fix?

I upgraded from 11.4 to 11.4.1. The worst part was that even when I tried using a time machine to revert to 11.4, it didn’t help. It seems to me that the plugins (those would be the buggy) only updated to the latest version anyway. I had to restore the MySQL DB from a backup and overwrite the Newspaper directories and plugins from the backups.
Now I will better wait a long time with 11.3.2…

Hello and many thanks for helping me with this one:

I updated my test site to WordPress 5.9 and Newspaper 11.4.1 (required plugins are updated as well).

In posts that use an adjusted custom single post cloud template the font size does not equal anymore the one set in the theme panel when block typography is set to 32 in the editor – typography 32 is the default running on my live website that is still WP5.8 and Newspaper 11.3.1.

If I’m in editing mode for a post and change typography to either 15 or even 50, the post font is displayed correctly in preview.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-jEb1bkVmXx2rJs5jbtKnrAZXVhhbUZC/view?usp=sharing

Do I need to adjust any settings? Cache has been cleared after the updates.

    Many thanks again
    Britta
