@bettina: any updates or solution on this ?
Hello, I have recently updated my website to Newspaper 10.4 or tried to. The plugins will not update or activate properly. The entire website is a mess. I also can’t manually update the theme as it won’t allow me to activate another theme in order to add a new Newspaper version manually. The entire dashboard Newspaper menu is also missing with only 3 things listed, one just being an option to buy another license, and the other for support. Any suggestions or can someone please fix this?
Hi Bettina,
Thanks for the update re page speed 🙂
My ticket was about the list of pages and posts in the dashboard not showing since we have upgraded to V10.4 of the theme.
I recently updated and now my team members aren’t displaying correctly.
How it used to look:

How it looks now:

Hi everyone,
Google launched a major update for the official AMP Plugin. The current version is 2.1.1 Link to Changelog
Has anyone already tested it? Does it run with the newspaper theme?
Thanks in advance.
Best

Hello!
If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello,
If you have this error, ”
Fatal error: Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function {closure}(), 4 passed in .. ” please update the WordPress to 5.7.1 and check to see if the problem is still persisting.
Thank you!
Hello!
Please try not to reply multiple times in the topic if possible, this will only delay our response. Replying multiple times will refresh the topic date and move it to the back of the line, we answer from oldest to newest.
Unfortunately, there is no button to hit and your score is high or your page speed is very high. You need to try to optimize your website.
If you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ you’ll be able to increase the speed of your website.
Also, to increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

– https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Please give it a try and follow the steps which I presented above about page speed.
Also, check our guide from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Please make sure to use our newest tool called tagDiv CSS Analyzer which comes in handy to resolve some of your issues. Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
“This custom tool performs an automatic test to find missing CSS rules applied by user interaction. Moreover, you can manually interact with a chosen section/component from the page while the tool records all the involved CSS. It will generate the final CSS file for this page and also will split the rules in Critical CSS to be loaded in the website’s header.” ( https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/ )
Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.
We tested our tool on our demos, and we have such great results!
Take a look in this topic because it could help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/css-analyzer-step-by-step-and-doubts/
Thank you!
After the latest update, Popular (last 7 days) not working in my news website. Please let me know how to rectify this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Seems you have the Mobile theme plugin activate, when you install and activate the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
Also, if you create a mobile page, please check if is set correctly => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, which version of the 3 do you want to use for mobile?
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure that the update procedure is done correctly, that the plugins are updated too and active: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ also, try to deactivate the tagDiv Composer plugin, delete and re-install it again from Newspaper plugins => https://www.screencast.com/t/WLy01lbc and see if is still a problem.
Also please take a look for a possible plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If the problem persists, please provide more details about the issue you have, screenshots, a link to your website.
Thank you!
Hello,
Before making the update, please make a full backup to all files and the database, in case something goes wrong. => https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
I recommend that you update the theme on a staging website and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the look of the website.
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Also if you encounter difficulties you can ask us and we will help you.
Thank you!
Hello!
We are sorry for the inconvenience that you are experiencing.
Please let us know what the steps of the updates were. Have you updated and installed all the plugins after the update ?
Thank you!

Hello !
My recommendation for you to test first is to simply disable and re-enable that function from taboola or the plugin completely. It happened before that some of the updates simply overwritten a piece of code and when the plugin was re-added that feature was fully functional again.
Let me know if this worked out or we need to dig deeper.
Thank you!
Hello !
At the moment there is no update on this, our developers are looking into it as we speak.
Thank you for your patience!
Hi there,
I recently updated my site (
) with the latest theme version, and it’s been having issues ever since. Mainly, a big problem is that the site goes down (often with 503 or 404 errors), stating that my resources have reach capacity, which they have not. When I inquired with GoDaddy, where the site is hosted, they suggested there’s an issue with a theme plugin or some script within the theme update. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you know an easy way to fix it? It seems to be a bit beyond my skill-set.
Thanks!
Anamaria, I sent you an email at the address you provided. I also included Ben Meredith from GiveWP and Justin, my web guy. Ben has been very responsive and has replied in great detail, but he can’t go further without hearing from tagDiv. Here’s his most recent update: “Here’s what our development team found: The tagdiv composer plugin is utilizing the filter get_post_meta in a way that is messing with the postmeta for GiveWP donations, and that is part of the problem, at least. You can confirm that by creating a test donation (you have to have the tagdiv composer plugin inactive to submit it) and then activating the tagdiv composer plugin and checking an individual donation to see that the form becomes detached. In a quick perusal of the tagdiv codebase, there are several different instances of the get_post_meta filter, and it’s unclear which call to that filter is messing things up for GiveWP. We’ll need to hear back from the team there to help!”
Is tagDiv doing anything to get this issue resolved? One of the reasons I purchased the Newspaper theme is that I heard the tech support and customer service were excellent. So far that has not been my experience.
Here is more help from Ben, who it seems has been very willing to help solve this problem:
“I’d love for the tagdiv team to follow these steps and see what they can find:
1. Install the free GiveWP plugin and activate it.
2. Install the tagdiv composer plugin and activate it.
3. Attempt to create a new Donation form (Donations > Add Form) and modify or save it.
“It will not save correctly, and it will display incorrectly on the front end of the site. Deactivate tagdiv composer to see how GiveWP is supposed to work.
“There are no console warnings.
“My suggestion would be for that plugin to only inject its scripts and/or styles onto pages where they are used, or provide users with a method of excluding tagdiv scripts on certain posts/pages/post types.
“I’m happy to have a developer from our team help here, but the problem is that the conflict is with a premium plugin that we do not have access to.”
Hello, there is a problem with the new update.
After installation, it changes the slug of the pages. The articles are not displayed anymore and are transformed into a blog page. Impossible to display the pages correctly.
When I switch back to the previous update, everything works normally again. Any idea?
Hi there,
I’ve followed your installation setup to V10.4 exactly and TD Composer is now working.
However, since the update, our list of pages and posts do not show. The pages and posts are on the website though.

Cloned from “Classic Blog” website, version 9
I want to keep what I have but update to the latest 10.x version of Newspaper. I downloaded and installed version 10, but not sure how to configure it to user my existing database and settings.
Is there a proper sequence of events I need to follow for this update?
Hello guys!
Can you help me identify if there’s any JS/network request from the template which is probably deleting/overriding the close button click event listener for the Taboola widget on the screenshot (bottom left for desktop and bottom of mobile screen)? https://nimb.ws/OIBiH3
Since the theme update, the close button stopped working both on desktop and mobile screens. Here’s the code for the close button event: https://nimb.ws/wbHUlJ
The widget is live on the following page: https://cangurunews.com.br/filho-acordar-de-mau-humor/
Thanks!
I Updated oje newspaper and my page is gone…. :((
PLS need urgent help
Hello,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
When you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, if you don’t want to use the mobile theme or AMP plugin you can deinstall the plugins.
Thank you!
The latest update of AMP 2.1.1 fixed the issue.
