I’ve manually installed the plugins through FTP, but the Newspaper admin panel failed to recognize them. I tried to installed them then through the panel, but I got this “An error occurred and we could not finish the process. Please manually update the plugins.”
I had the plugins installed, but now I’m getting this message
“Plugins disabled automatically
The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newspaper
For update please check the plugins section:”
But plugins that are “disabled” are not showing, meaning – instead of plugins that are “incompatible”, I only get dot, with no named plugins that are incompatible. This could be more serious issue I’m affraid, is there an option for someone to enter my site through the admin panel, please? Because there are couple of old version of plugins etc., it’s not straightforward I’m affraid…
Hi,
so, all morning I tried to fix the problem, but with no success. I manually edit and save YouTube embed codes, every time after I upload new YT video. So, I put it at the end of my article. Evertything was working fine. But now, after I clicked “save” through tagDiv Composer, it gave me some kind of error. When I clicked the article, my ads were missing, along with bottom part of the page (tags, related articles etc.). Also, my WordPress upper admin bar and editability function was missing, it was active only on the main (front) page. I tried do update, even manually change the files and plugins, but nothing. Now I have couple of versions of plugins etc.
I have this error, also lost the site logo. Can you please help? 🙂

I still can’t update wp.bakery. I’ve downloaded the file you sent me, and I’m getting an error, as I’ve told you four times. There are no other plugins in the file you sent me. I don’t understand why you’re not sending me the file to install. I look forward to hearing from you.
Ok, Please keep me updated.
Ah. Yes. I was referring to the Theme update. For Composer, I’m still using 5.2. May wait and see if they push another fix. Thanks for the info 🙂
Hello Assadujarnan,
Is this even after the 2.7 update? Just curious.
Tim 🙂
Hello!
Unfortunately, I have no ETA for when this request will be added to the theme. I understand your thoughts, so you can revert the update as I suggested above or use any other element. I’m sorry!
You can see the Newspaper changelog here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-changelog/
If it’s urgent, our custom work team can help you customize it on your end. You can contact them here: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi Bettina,
I hope you’re well. I wanted to follow up on the status of the subcategories widget issue. I tested version 12.7.0, which was released this week, and unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to include a fix.
Could you please provide an update or estimated timeline for when this will be addressed? It has now become a critical issue for us, as 12.7.0 includes a security patch, and due to the removal of subcategory widget functionality in 12.6.9, our clients are currently left exposed.
Thank you in advance for your help—I appreciate any insight you can share.
We recently updated tagDiv, and now all our editors see this message in the frontend:
[Image Link: https://imgur.com/a/pN1l7dr%5D
When clicking on it, they are redirected to the “Manage Domain” page, where everything appears to be in order. The theme is registered and fully activated for our domain.
As an administrator, I do not see this message myself. Could you please assist us in resolving this issue?
I can update the them but not the wakery page builder.
Let me know where is the file in the update you sent or send me the file

Hello!
Maybe the update has not been completed, but for every update, we always recommend the following:
-> First of all, please make sure you have a backup.
-> Please deactivate all the non-tested plugins with our theme before updating.
-> Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/.
-> Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hello!
It was the Mobile theme plugin, and I just cleared the cache.
We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
I’ve had the same problem only on the mobile view of my response Newspaper theme.
Not sure when this happened, but previously the Theme Panel included a Sub Footer option to turn off copyright. That subfooter option isn’t available in 12.7, so the copyright just shows up.
It’s located in the footer.php file, and even when I deleted it safely, the
(C) Newspaper by Tag Div is on the bottom of all my mobile pages.
Where is it so we can remove, hopefully not like I’m doing which will be lost in any updates?
Can they remove the copyright from the footer file, or give us the option to turn it off again?
Updated to v12.7 and now I cannot reduce the “Job title text” line height in the Testimonial shortcode to anything less than what you see in the linked image. I can increase it to an even greater (unacceptable) height but not lessen it. Had full control and looked good before update. Can’t seem to force it to an acceptable height even with CSS. Please help!
Hi – I rolled it back until I found a backup from Pre-update and installed that – this seems to have cured it for the moment at least
Composer back to v5.1 (from 5.4) and the Theme to 12.6.7 (from 12.7)
Assume the ‘Standard Pack plugin’ is the TD Composer? – In which case they were both in place and updated as per…
Since the update, I have been having some major issues with TagDiv Composer, the front end looks ok for my website scaffmag.com, but when I open the composer, everything is screwed up, and I get an error message seen here: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/53696008?key=e7c45872027aef360700ed3fa105dfca I have tried rolling back to other versions of Newspaper but the problem is still the same. Please help
Hello dear development team,
I use Newsmag (http://www.hundenachrichten.de) and am actually quite happy with the theme. However, I noticed one issue that isn’t optimally resolved: SHOW MODIFIED DATE. Example error: On March 28, I plan a post for April 1. The publication date says: Published on April 1. Modified: March 28. That doesn’t seem right! “Modified” should show April 1, if at all (see ⇾ here). A better solution would be: On the day of publication, “Modified” should show nothing at all (the post hasn’t been modified). It would be great if you could choose when the modification date should be displayed in the theme settings: After 7, 14, 30 days, or Custom. It doesn’t look professional if, for example, you make a small change to a post a day or two later and it’s then displayed. It’s more interesting if you revise/update older articles, and then it’s displayed, thus attracting search engines’ attention to the article again. It would be nice if this bug could be fixed and the suggested option “SHOW MODIFIED DATE after xxx days/Custom” was added.
Best regards from Germany
Stefan
Hi,
We will provide an update this week. Our developer team is working on it now. It will most likely be a full theme update so that everyone will receive a notification to update the theme.
Thank you!
For your information I rectified my problem. The problem is in Tagdiv theme of Updated Version 12.7. I changed my version to 12.6.9 the problem is disappear. Kindly check at your end. Here is the snapshot for your reference. https://app.screencast.com/1dU23yJCi0R4S

The problem is in updated Theme version ie 12.7 Kindly rectify and release the updated version again.
Hello!
Yes. There is a problem with the save button in Composer in the latest update of the theme. So, you can revert the update to 12.6.9, so you can save the header or footer template in the Composer.
Thank you!
Hello!
No, it shouldn’t. Yes, you can revert and update at any time. Also, you can test everything on a staging site: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, the theme has the auto-update option; you can find it in Newspaper -> Updates. However, before updating, please fully backup all files and databases and disable the extra plugins during the update process.
Also, ensure your tagDiv plugins are updated and installed after the update.
Thank you!
Whenever a new update of the Newspaper theme is available, my site automatically defaults to a nasty looking ‘COVID’ style template which is terrible. So, unless I check the website itself, I never know if its done this and an update is required. Is there a theme auto-update facility or do I need to do something else?
