Thanks for the open-mindedness Calin
I switched to 9.7.4 which I had laying around.
Will test things out for a couple days or so.
I’ll update this thread with findings. Thanks.

After the new update and as per your instructions, I decativated the TagDiv Cloud library plugin, then deleted the plugin, then installed and activated it again. You had told me that all the templates that I have created with cloud library wont get affected due the above action.
Today I discovered that all my 38 single page templates from cloud library have reverted back to default template of the theme. I am now having a tedious time trying to redesign them and I do not know for which post which template I had used. If that is the case there is no use creating templates using your cloud library as it will all reverse back to default template whenever ther is a theme update.
Please clarify whether I should use Cloud Templates at all or not waste my time implementing these templates as they are going disappear with a theme and plugin update.
I just purchased, downloaded, and activated the newspaper theme on my WordPress site. However, it is so buggy. All of the plug-ins read that they are outdated even though I just bought it yesterday, single-click update fails each time, I deleted tagDiv composer and reinstalled it and it still says that it is outdated. When I create a new page and click tagDiv composer, it won’t load half of the time. It is so buggy and sporadic. I have version 2.5 which is supposedly just 8 days old. Is there something I can fix or is this theme really just this bad?
Ok thanks for your response Calin, I appreciate it. However if you read above I went on to explain how the editor is not working now and I can’t change a single thing on my site.
I won’t be able to know whether mobile is checked or unchecked, because this update has broken my backend entirely.

Hi,
The view count are set in database therefore the theme update will not affect it, because the theme update will change only the theme files, will not interfere with database, but if you are using some plugins or codes that access the view counter or is in conflict with it, then is possible that the view count to be rest, therefore the only solution to recover the views is to use a backup for database.
Thank you for your understanding!
Please see ecitybeat.com. Update was not friendly to the website. Please fix!
Thank you!
Update:
My mobile theme is now not displaying properly and I can’t even load the theme panel to edit my site.
What’s going on with this update?

Thanks Vlad. I had to many problems upgrading to News 10 and I need to get this done. So here is my new plan.
-Restore Newspaper 9.x version (done)
-Upgrade my server plan to Business VPS, 4Gig memory, etc.. (in process)
-Complete site, SEO, Monetizing in Newspaper 9 (in process)
-Set up new test server
-Update to News 10 on test server (absolutely hoping for performance gain)
I had this same issue last week, and I had to restore a backup because my host (WPX) couldn’t handle the new version.
I switched hosts and upgrades my RAM, but I’m still very reluctant to update to the new version of Newspaper. There has to be a fix so that the theme doesn’t consume so many resources.
Following this thread.
Hi Calin,
Thanks for the response. Again to clarify:
* No changes have been made to environment other than update to 10.3
* Traffic is same (or less) than before installing 10.3
* Server was restarted by hosting provider after first crash, yet issues continued
* I have seen other support requests (like this one: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/td-composer-problems/) that talk about similar out-of-memory issues after this update
My site was performing quite well prior to the 10.3 update, now, less so. I’m curious as to if a bug fix is in the works to optimize for memory or other issues.
I will dig through my log files to see if I can find anything relevant.
Thanks,
Michael
Thank you. To clarify, I was editing the plugin editor to edit the theme files but was not able to get that to update properly (like it did in September 2019). I would much prefer to not have to make this update every time a new version is released.
I was able to create a single post template through the Cloud Library. However, even though I set the sidebar to appear to the right in the default position, it is showing on the bottom. This occurred using multiple templates. Any idea on how to get the sidebar to appear properly when using/applying a Cloud Library template? The preview shows it correctly but when I apply it it doesn’t work.
Mr. Calin,
Any Update?
Thanks for understanding the problem, I will wait for the next update.
With regard,
Marco.
Hi,
Please notice that these changes needs to be made only if you have the proper skills, will be more easy to use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and use tagDiv Composer with drag and drop the element you want where you want, in this way you’ll no longer need to make changes in theme files and these will not be lost when you update the theme.
1. No in my above example I do not used tagDiv Composer to edit the theme files, this can be done with Plugin editor -> https://i.imgur.com/fJ8T9LL.png
2. For default post style you’ll need to go in Composer files -> https://i.imgur.com/2SpicW5.png -> copy this line of code -> https://i.imgur.com/QW1gmxb.png and set it under the category -> https://i.imgur.com/XysL0ZK.png
Thank you!
Hello !
Please follow closely our tutorial in order to update the Newspaper Theme properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you !
Hi,
Ok, now I understand. We’ll make some tests and if there are some problems create by our theme using that option, then will fix it in the coming updates.
Thank you!
Hello Calin, ok I understand
I don’t want to update, because 9,8 are the best version for me. Can you help me to solve this without an update?
I also try the other review snippets, but they also don’t work.
Best regards
Hi,
The problem is that you are using an old version of Newspaper theme and the rich snippet was removed by google -> https://i.imgur.com/vzWReAh.png thefore you’ll need to change the type of snippet or to make a theme update.
Thank you!
Hi,
Sorry for this inconvenience, there was recently released a theme update and the reply time it will take longer (maximum 3 working days).
We’ll try to reply as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
Update… I have corrected issue with newsletter code showing… plugin was not active.
Hi,
This evening I updated theme and hit some issues on all pages. Text styling on live pages does not show correctly and tdn newsletter code displays between the bottom of page content and site footer.
Here is loom showing issues > https://www.loom.com/share/02ad82ded1df4ebfb5e2bb9ce0fde068
Any explanation for why this is happening would be a great help.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem after update. I have cleaned cache but it seems not working.
Trying to install from Themeforst download files, I get this message:
Installing Theme from uploaded file: Newspaper.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The style.css stylesheet doesn’t contain a valid theme header.
Theme installation failed.
Not sure where to go with this, just updated to 10.1 a few weeks ago. Have never had issues with installs like this on install. I tried two separate downloads from themeforest assuming it might be corrupt file..
Any help appreciated!
My apologies, but I’m still having trouble making this change. I’m trying to update the default post style to move the tags to the top. Based on your screen captures:
1. Do I need to update loop-single.php and single-php (via TagDiv Composer)?
2. If yes to #1, what code needs to be copied where to put that at the top of the post (what I’m seeing in that plugin editor is different than September 2019)?
Recently installed the update (10.3) on my production site (www.hightechdad.com), and ever since then, I have been experiencing server crashes requiring my hosting provider to restart my virtual machine. I have plenty of RAM allocated (2 GB). This only started after installing the theme update. No other variables have changed nor have there been any updates other than that.
And this morning, I received the following automated email from my WordPress instance:
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 5.3.2
Current theme: Newspaper (version 10.3)
Current plugin: tagDiv Composer (version 2.5 | built on 05.02.2020 7:28)
PHP version 7.3.11Error Details
=============
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 7884 of the file /home/wp_dxswyn/hightechdad.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/td-multi-purpose/td-multi-purpose.php. Error message: Out of memory (allocated 4194304) (tried to allocate 32768 bytes)
Is there another update coming that may correct these issues?
While I love the Newspaper theme, my hosting provider support says that Newspaper is resource intensive. But I didn’t have this issue prior to the 10.3 update.
I have multiple licenses for Newspaper (my own and clients) but I’m reluctant to upgrade other instances until this issue is resolved.
Thank you,
HTD
