After some heavy digging I discovered a function in wp-content\plugins\td-composer\legacy\common\wp_booster\td_module.php called get_image that I had to modify to display my meta images, but I am not sure how long is this legacy folder going to be supported? Also my changes will get wiped after an update, so it is not ideal solution…
I’m having a problem with categories that is really bothering me. When I register an article, I associate it with a category, among several that I have on my news website. It turns out that recently, I started having a problem where, when choosing a category, WP starts marking one or even several other categories or subcategories to the article. For example, let’s say you have the Country category and subcategories (USA, Brazil, China, German), and the Gastronomy category and subcategories typical foods, fast foods, hamburgers and even a third category cars with the subcategories Toyota, Nissa, Fiat, Volvo , etc.. Let’s say that when branding Country, WP also started branding Nissan, Harburgueria, Gastronomia. And if I uncheck them, WP unchecks them all and if I check them again, it repeats exactly the markings of the previous items. It is not random, however, from the example it is clear that there is no relationship between categories and subcategories and this is also independent of the category. I can only manage my articles with some ease in the list of articles published in Quick Edit where I have to check what was marked incorrectly and correct the association of categories and possibly subcategories.
I have already deactivated SEO plugins, in this case Rand Math, and other plugins that could somehow interfere with the case, but it does not solve the problem. Coincidence or not, I have a friend who implemented News Paper about a year ago, who reported the same problem to me about a month ago. At the time I suggested that he contact support to see if they could come up with a solution.
I uploaded two screenshots so that you can better understand the problem, if necessary. In the example in question, I only chose the BRAZIL category and all these others were activated.
I note that I have other websites, with other themes that I update frequently and on none of them the problem occurred.
Hello, I have a plan to update an older blog with the Newspaper theme. The version of the theme that is currently active is 8.1.2. I would like to update the theme, but I do not have the access to the ThemeForest account from which the theme was bought. I do have a licence key. Would it be possible to update the theme in any other way?
Hello!
We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for the quick answer.
I have everything setup the way it’s mentioned in the the linked article – no filtering options or any other options active, just sorting by Jetpack popular option is active. It does not work after the theme has been updated.

Hello,
We are changing our domain and want to be sure we can use the same license for newspaper with the new domain? We want to carry the site as is to the new domain. We have made updates and modifications and want to be sure we don’t lose any of those in changing the domain.
Can we do this? How?
Thanks ahead of time.
Dear Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue when attempting to modify page content. When I click on content elements to edit them, the sidebar does not update to reflect the selected content, making it impossible to make changes. However, when I click on header elements, the sidebar updates correctly, and I can modify them without any issues.
Please advise on how to resolve this or let me know if additional information is needed.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,
Thank you for your reply and for pointing me to the options available in the infinite loading feature. Unfortunately, the settings shown in the screenshot don’t seem to include an option to exclude posts from a specific category.
Could you please clarify if there’s a programmatic way to achieve this? For example:
– Is there a filter or hook in the Newspaper theme that can be used to modify the query for infinite loading on single posts?
– If not, could you suggest which theme files or functions would be best to modify to implement this exclusion without disrupting other functionality?
Additionally, I’d like to know:
– Are there any plans to introduce this functionality in future updates?
– If there’s a reason this feature isn’t currently supported, could you share that so I can better understand the limitations?
I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your guidance.
Thank you!
The template applied to posts are automatically sent once I install the Newspaper theme. How do I make that same template be applied to pages (other than the home page)?
Hello!
It’s working well now, right?

Hey there, I fixed it by adding specific paddings to the right side of the menu and now it looks great.
I checked the elements you suggested for the posts but I want to find a way to make them look the same as the header at the categories. That would bring consistency to the design of the website. Is it possible for such a feature to be considered in future updates as it will be useful for everyone? A lot of news websites have such headers and it increases the page depth of views if made properly.
Hello!
Please make sure you have the latest update of the theme and plugins.
First of all, try to do these steps as quickly as possible so your visitors do not notice the process:
1. disable TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
4. install TagDiv Composer
5. activate TagDiv Composer
6. clear cache (if cache plugin exists)
Thank you!
Hello,
Do you use Ubuntu 22.04?If yes you need to update the security packages:
apt update && unattended-upgrade -d
Then re-issue Lets Encrypt Cert on a site-by-site basis
Also, please check this guide https://wpastra.com/docs/fix-for-curl-error-51-ssl-no-alternative-certificate-subject-name-matches-target-host-name-websitedemos-net/ and topic https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20842970/curl-fix-curl-51-ssl-error-no-alternative-certificate-subject-name-matches

Hello,
Have you checked if the plugins you had before the update are installed and activated, like the tagdiv Composer, tagdiv Cloud Library, and tagdiv Standard pack?
Also, please try to update the theme without activating extra plugins during the installation, as this may interfere with the process.
Thank you!
I was able to restore an older backup, and my website’s design is now functioning correctly again. However, I would like to prevent this issue from happening with future updates.
Could you please advise on the best practices to ensure that design settings are preserved during theme updates? Are there specific precautions I should take or settings I need to check before updating?
Thank you for your assistance!
Dear Support Team,
I recently updated the Newspaper Theme on my WordPress site (https://histaminentzug.de/) from version 12.6.6 to 12.6.8. Unfortunately, the update has completely broken my website’s design.
All pre-configured design settings are gone.
The header logo is missing.
I did not create a backup before performing the update, so I am unsure how to restore the previous design.
Could you please advise on the best course of action to resolve this issue? Any guidance on retrieving the lost settings or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Xaver
Hi Bettina!
I have now removed as much plugin as possible, and it dropped from 724 to 704. This as never reported as an issue up until some weeks ago. I have used Newspapere theme for like 10 years.
Has there been any update in Newspaper plugins or does WordPress flag this like an issue now?
Kind regards
Niclas
I updated the website domain (from dailyscoopslu.com to saintluciadailypost.com) in DreamHost using the domain update tool. It seems to have worked everywhere except in the header background image which still uses the old domain. As a result, the image path is broken. I have been trying unsuccessfully to fix this using TagDiv Composer but the particular area can not be selected. As such, the background image can not be added to the correct div. I checked the code and the code below is where it should be updated, but I can not find a place I can click on the page to access this div, not can I figure out where it is in the database. How can I fix this?
<div class=”tdi_29_rand_style td-element-style”><div class=”td-element-style-before”><style>.tdi_29_rand_style>.td-element-style-before{content:”!important;width:100%!important;height:100%!important;position:absolute!important;top:0!important;left:0!important;display:block!important;z-index:0!important;background-image:url(“https://www.dailyscoopslu.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/xxx_menu-bg_xxx.jpg”)!important;background-position:center center!important;background-size:cover!important}</style></div><style>.tdi_29_rand_style{background-color:#f9f9f9!important}</style></div>
Please, any update on this? Still appear in version 5.4.3.1 in Plesk
Thanks
Hello!
You should not add any code to the theme file because it will be overwritten when you update the theme.
If you are required to add some code between the head and body, you should add it there(Theme panel -> Analytics/JS Codes).
You can also add the ad code in the theme panel and choose where to display the ad in the shortcode Ad box from tagdiv composer using a cloud template.
In the cloud templates, you can add the ads when you edit the post with TagDiv Composer in the “Single Post Content” element in the ADS tab. Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
Or you can use the element called “Ad Box” from TagDiv Composer, and there you need to add the ads: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
Thank you!
Hello!
Please ensure you have the latest theme update and check the console while the feature is loading, so there could be an error or something.
First of all, make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.
If the problem is still there, then please get in touch with us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin URL and credentials
– cPanel URL and credentials
– a link to this topic to identify you
We’ll check and try to help you as soon as possible!
Thank you!
Good afternoon, I’m waiting for help to resolve this issue after updating the theme.
The website was working well, but when I updated, some items with the login and newsletter stopped working.
Thanks.

Hello,
You have the mobile theme plugin activated; please deactivate it and clear the cache.
Also, this plugin Spectra has not been tested with the theme and can cause issues.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
