If you notice bug in information, likely worth doing your own post about your issue vs hijacking somebody else’s query. Your post added nothing to the actual question of what the actual latest version truly is.
Tip: you can also simply download the latest version of all files from ThemeForest and unzip and view the changelog included with each version.
People are human, so once in awhile they forget to include a note, but most of the time are on it.
Also, the ‘version’ date can vary as the date created is not always the date approved in the ThemeForest download system; and sometimes they update the same ‘version’ if there was something missing in an installer or plugin or ancillary elements unrelated to the *theme* version. So, the latest theme version showing as Date X might have an updated ‘package’ a day or two later with same version date. I’ve seen this happen with many themes.
Again, if you RTFM in the main ‘all files’ download you won’t have to go looking for things, as you already have it.
I figured out how to upgrade, though the documentation for this process and TagDiv information is REALLY bad on this topic. Not impressed at all.
I have a new failure in the “Update the Plugins” step and will look for solutions for that.
Come on folks, how hard it is to create an intuitive (and correct) upgrade guide. Please reach out if you want some volunteer support. I hate to see others flail around aimlessly for such a simple task.
Yes, if you scroll all the way down you will find that the current version is 9.2.2 updated December 17, 2018. This information belongs at the top along with CORRECT compatibility details.
There is an additional inconsistency. Top panel (supposedly current details, but is not) it says the latest update is JANUARY 16th 2019 – not 12/17 as indicated in the 9.2.2 details.
Just so confusing and I should not have to read 4 forum posts just to get to the details I found on this post. To start, this post doesn’t even show up when you do a search of “update” or “version” or “current”.

Also, how do I know the current version? From the SYSTEM STATUS tab in the WP Plugin interface for Newspaper, I am able to determine my current version is 9.0.1, but see no way to understand the most current version.
From the Envato Market (https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609?_ga=2.268919666.2006420316.1547994801-1746959117.1547652072), I see that it was last updated 1/16/19, but there is no indication of the version number, or other release details.
What am I not seeing? This is not intuitive. Please assist if you can.

both have been set in the php.ini file by bluehost employee, they linked me the documennt as proof. Is not showing up in the newspaper “system status”. Is there a way to resolve this or will it have nno effect on performance as the new values have been confirmed as set? tried uninstalling and reinnstalling demo but that had no effect.
Also I am beinng asked to activate newspaper everytime i install a new demo format, is this normal?

Hi – I raised this before in reply to another post so my questions may have been overlooked. Here they are again:
1) I cannot get drop cap font or colour to change in Theme Fonts / Other / Dropcap. I’ve got a feeling it’s because I’m using block editor and not classic editor?
2) Likewise Pull Quote in Theme Fonts / Post Content / Pull Quote – altering font here has no effect on the Pullquote available in block editor.
3) Likewise Image Caption in Theme Fonts / Post Elements / Image Caption – altering font here has no effect on the image caption in block editor. Also, unfortunately, the image caption in block editor is centred, cannot be moved left.
Are there plans to update Theme Fonts so these adjustments will work with block editor?

*UPDATE* I’ve managed to change the title colour, but the excerpt colour is still grey… :/
I tried deactivating and activating the plugin again but seems like it’s not working.
Actually, I am using Newspaper custom ad slots along with the ad inserter plugin. In some posts, all ad slots will display ads, sometimes only a few ad slots and most of the times ads are not displaying completely.
I have configured the ads through the custom newspaper theme panel along with the plugin, after recent theme update both are not working correctly. Please help me in resolving this issue.

Currently I’m using the Classy Magazine theme and it uses an ugly serif font called Playfair in a lot of places. I’ve looked through the font customization area and replaced all instances of Playfair with Open sans but I still see the playfair font on all the post titles.
Is there not a simple way to update the Playfair theme to open sans with a single option?
I have got mail from Envato Market mentioning the subject that, “[ThemeForest] Update available for ‘Newspaper'”. I got this mail on 06 Dec, 2018. After that I downloaded the update file and install it. But the point is the mail didn’t mention the update version.
After that I have got same mail twice on 12 Dec, 2018 and 17 Dec, 2018 respectively. After getting those two mail I got confused.
I checked from dashboard (Newspaper > System status > Theme version) that my newspaper theme version is 9.2.
I also checked form [dashboard > updates > Themes] and it says that, ‘Your themes are all up to date.’
Now my questions are, Am I using the latest ‘Newspaper’ theme version? and
How do I check in future regarding ‘Newspaper’ latest version?

This can be achieve only if you make some changes manually in the theme files and replace the words from English in Korean, but after theme update you’ll need to do this again.

the filter works correctly..because I tryed to set up added this setting: (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1h4ZOkMNKY9apBGZjjUvhHMHhuvOHR9Yi) and finally it works…but Today I am in allert: becuase the posts that there are into “All” (in italian: Tutte) hasn’t all posts that there are in the other categories, like: cronaca, politica, economia… etc. Moreover the All’s loop posts is update to yesterday (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1h7qP0wfgxsA0w2Le95py9VX63zBCfiZb)! differently of loop’s posts for example of “politica” (https:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OTPaHyD2y_Lj_f-t_4SvKdFhWbKBxi9x).. In fact This it has rightly the today’s articles; like the the other categories but this it’s not been for “All”!

You have on old version of theme and we recommend you to make a full backup to your website and and make and update on theme.
Please notice that you need the last version of theme in order to have full compatibility with WordPress 5.0.3

Hi, recently, we wanted to integrate Newsletter functionality for our blog so that, when someone comes to our blog, a Newsletter input is provided where he can signup for the daily updates.
Glad to see that Newspaper provides a premium plugin for the same.
We are using that plugin with Mailchimp.
And I have inserted it to the sidebar.
I have two questions.
Q1 – What if I wanted to show this form on the click of a menu item in my main website header? How can this form be embedded in the main header menu?
Q2 – For the time being, when it is in the sidebar, whenever I fill this with any mail ID, a new page of Mailchimp opens up where it is written thanks for subscribing etc etc. How do I disable this functionality. I don’t want any other page to open up, just a thanks will do the work.

Are you using the latest version of the theme? From what I can see you might be using Gutenberg and WordPress 5. Note that the theme has been updated to improve compatibility with the latest WordPress, older versions may not work properly with it.

In my site, after a recent update, I’ve got a problem that Adsense ads are not displaying correctly. Ads are displaying in some posts but not in some posts. Sometimes ads will not load but after refreshing the page the ads will load into the page. Please rectify the issue, for me its bit a serious problem. My earnings are getting effected.
Maybe some of the modifications made in the theme since the version you previously had are now causing this problem. You could revert to a revision of the page before the extra content was added, then add it again if possible.
Or rebuild that page in a test page, add the same elements in it to see if the same happens after adding them fresh after the update.
