In order to achieve the sidebar on your homepage, you have to set it from Visual Composer. (layout 2/3+1/3). Hello,
This is because the visual composer plugin was updated since the video was made and that panel got modified as well. This is the new look they gave the plugin and unfortunately the visual style of the templates was not possible anymore so they are now text menu items.

1)Unfortunately, the title tags can not be changed from the Theme panel or from some editors but only from the code.
2)Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and SEO Yoast, clears all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. SEO YOAST is tested with our theme and should work as expected. If you are using some untested plugins, these could cause some interference between SEO Yoast and our theme and gives some error.

When the thumbs dissapear from the blocks, this usually means you have a plugin incompatibility. Please remove all your plugins except visual composer and the aggregator and test it again . Also clear the cache and reset cdn if you use it. Unfortunately the rss agreggator plugin is not tested with our theme so it could be the one creating the problems in the first place. If the problem is still there after you remove all other plugin, then you need to find another rss plugin.

For your second request, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clears all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins wich could cause some broken layout in our theme.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to add the video from YouTube or Vimeo for your background. You have some settings for video background in Visual Composer and you can add it only for ROW like this -> http://screencast.com/t/xW8dphtON7 Please try to find some plugins with this functionality and see how it works for you.
I have added your suggestion to our list of features and we hope that in the future update to implement this in the theme. It is tricky because we have a long list of suggestions and our developers are able to decide wich are important and wich are not to be implemented according to clients ‘ requests.

Try to edit the homepage and remove the part which add the content from contact page on it. It seems the issue is not the theme. Please try to update your theme to the latest version, then try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer and clear cache (reset cdn if you use it).

The page “behind” the page manu is just a simple page build with visual composer. 3 rows, just text with links.

Unfortunately that comes from the plugin. The theme does not control the forum login. You will need to see if your plugin supports visual composer elements or vice-versa and then you can add the login information element if this will be available. I’m aware of how ads work in Newsmag, but there’s something I’m trying to do and I’m not sure how to go about it. (By the way, I’m quite impressed with how seamless the integration with Google AdSense seems to be.)
What I want to do is use Header 6 (top menus + logo + ad) with a 728×90-sized ad, but instead of putting an AdSense ad there, I’d like to create my own clickable ad from a 728x90px image I’ll create myself in photoshop. The reason I want to do this is so that all of the essentials I want to make available will be readily, blatantly accessible to my visitors. They’ll be able to navigate the menus, click my logo to go back to the homepage, or click my ad in order to go to the page of one of the services I offer.
So in effect, I’m trying to use Header 6 with a 728x90px ad, but I want to put my own ad in there rather than an AdSense ad, and I can’t figure out or visualize how to substitute my own image into that spot.
Theme is responsive, WP-Touch can cause issues with sites which are already responsive and mobile ready.
Also try disabling the loading of visual composer on all pages/posts except for home page — this is also covered in my long-winded optimization post in the tutororials/DIY/best of forum section.
Ad Rotate Pro *not* an issue. We use it here and have for years.
Newspaper adds share buttons top/bottom of each post – from post settings; but not ALL sharing buttons, just the main popular ones. I use a plugin that is super lightweight “simple sharing buttons” but doesn’t do the “numbers” just the buttons. That is usually not the issue.
Jetpack can slow down site as you’re loading all those elements externally and adding to overhead.
To be honest, I suspect it’s the WP-Touch and possibly your server is setup like ours was, where traffic spikes would kill the site — in our case it was the related posts, mega-menu, and loading visual composer. Disabling those solved it for us.
I’ve just purchased and installed the Newspaper theme. I’m following the video tutorial on building a home page but what I see in the backend editor of Visual Composer is not the same as the video. I should be seeing the message “Add Some Content or Use Predefined Layouts…” with a series of 20 layout thumbnails (as per https://youtu.be/ss-BEobegAw?t=43s). Instead, I see the default message from Visual Composer: “YOU HAVE BLANK PAGE. START ADDING CONTENT OR TEMPLATES” following but “Add Element”, “Add Text Block”, “Add Template”. If I click on Add Template, I get a list of the 20 templates only.

Have you try deactivate plugins? There are many thing can be happend to slow your server. Maybe its incompatible some plugin whit nespaper :(.

I mean, you have a lot of plugins runing in your site and maybe the CPU and RAM isnt enogth or just arent incompatible whit newspaper theme.
This theme does not include that plugin, it’s a separate thing. Good idea to post questions on the support page/forum for that plugin for faster help in debugging problems with it.
Make sure you only use ONE type of caching plugin. Make sure you have enough memory allocated to WordPress before doing so. Make sure you read the tutorial in the TagDiv theme docs on “suggestions” on how to setup a caching plugin to best work with theme — deactivate ALL plugins except for Visual Composer as one step in debugging problems with caching plugin.
I’m sure TagDiv will offer some advice but they are closed weekends their local time.
Did you define the path to /wp-super-cache/ in your wp-config.php file?
If it’s totally borked, you might have to remove the plugin via FTP, then remove the lines it might have added to your htaccess or wp-config.php file, then start over, perhaps using different caching plugin if not compatible with your setup.
Some folks here have had success using various caching plugins including zencache, etc.

with the update of Newsmag theme to versione 2.3.5, the modification indicated at the http://screencast.com/t/yOEz5TC7x to file Newsmag/includes/td_config.php doesn’t work anymore. Even if I’ve set the ‘show_child_cat’ to 10, theme still shows only 5 child categories as you can see at http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/.

Unfortunately our theme does not support featured posts. You can however create a featured category and add your posts to it, then add a block in visual composer on the specific post you want it displayed. You can activate visual composer on posts from the plugin settings: http://screencast.com/t/V4d9MhrFxr
if you do not want to do this for every post in particular, you can edit the theme files and edit the specific post template you use and add a function to the file called do_shorctode. This will add a specific block you set to it on every post that uses that particular template you edit. They can be used in the child theme as well.
For example you can create your block in visual composer on a dummy page and get the shortcode for it: http://screencast.com/t/02ccgJ2Q8mN then get the shortcode for the block in classic mode/text mode
Then you can edit the post template from the files: http://screencast.com/t/FBgdVg39o

Unfortunately, If you have hired a freelancer or developer that have broken your website, please contact him to resolve the issue. I have no idea what kind of changes has done in this regard and why your mobile version does not work properly because our theme by default, as you can see in our demo works perfectly. Maybe this problem is coming from your untested plugins wich can interfere with our theme. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.

You could do something of the sort but you will need to add the code for every page. The simplest solution would be to add a load more button to your latest articles so the page will not change every time you want to vies more posts. In order to do this, you will need to change the page template and not use the pagebuilder+latest but rather the pagebuilder+title or the default page template and then use a block 12 for your latest articles. This way you can add the load more animation from the pagination settings in visual composer (like our travel demo uses: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/)

Yes, that is my problem. The changes made in theme panel does not applies on front-end.
I have this problem at all demos, everything else works good.
I don’t know where is the problem… I use Google Chrome and I don’t have other plugins except Visual Composer.
In CATEGORY TOP POSTS STYLE I pick: “Gird 3”,
and in ARTICLE DISPLAY VIEW I choose: “M2” and then save 🙂
but it only appears M2…

After the update I’m getting a strange error in my blog http://www.getcooltricks.com . The pages are having a strange look without any styling. I think the Visual composer plugin is not working. The latest update works fine in my test site but not in the main site. I checked my site in my workplace and it worked fine. Please help me with this.
