Hi,
Please make sure you follow this guide and install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder that came with the theme files.
If this does not help please deactivate all plugins, clear cache(s), CDN caches if you use any and try again.
Please let me know.
Thanks

Please make a back-up of your current theme installation as Christopher wrote then update the theme to the latest version (4.3) if you are using a an older theme version if not re-upload the theme files delete the wpbackery from theme files then upload it from plugins folder like here
If this dose not solve this issue please send your wp-admin user and pass at contact@tagdiv.com so we can check this, also send a link to this topic or specify your issues details.

Hi,
I have tested this using the latest theme version 4.3 and with WPBakery Visual Composer version 4.3.4 and worked fine for me: http://screencast.com/t/h8547NHbMdVa
As you noticed the css to style the buttons dose not apply in your case, this is because the classes used by css are missing: http://screencast.com/t/V3LhNREDXhGB
Please make sure you install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder that came with themes files like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Also try to deactivate all plugins and then check if this issue is still there.
Thanks
hello
i would like to ask a question about woocommerce shop page
i try to add a revolution slider above the woocommerce shop page (via visual composer). if there is no side bar in the shop page it has no problem.
but when i choose to view side bar, it stars near the revolution slider (also because of that rev.slider become narrow)
is there any way that we can set the revolution slider above the woocommerce shop page (above shop page with side bar)
you can see in this pic.

thank you
best regards
Hi,
You can’t set the background color to be full width within row settings, the color only applies to 1170px width because that is the width of the “row” container: http://screencast.com/t/AQPth0HzMe The rows differ according to layout(1,2,3 columns).
If you want to set a background color to full site width you will also have to set a background color for your site, you can do it from theme panel > theme colors and chose a color similar or the same with one you use on your rows.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
@steven Yeah, I was kinda excited to use the block 10 for revamping my homepage after seeing it on the changelog.
Same, I cant find anything that has to do with this and now im starting to get very tired of looking for it.
The only setting i can find is: http://www.screencast.com/t/uYNOjXARrW and if i tick that box, refresh and empty cache and what not, well nothing happens. Either way it cant be it since i have no options to what size i want like it was before. This is under the Visual Composer settings…
If Newspaper is moving for Bootstrap 3 perhaps we could use these functions anyway. Not everyone is making sites for cellphones.. I am not. Tablets and PC… where my site has looked good so far… Not so much now if windows arent fullscreen…

Hello Lucian.
Thank you for your answer. I don’t have any problem to set up background colour for full website.
I’m using Visual editor and I added few ROW and I trying to set up background colour for full 100% width. Now the colour is only 1170px

Hi,
Sorry for the delay! I have checked this and found no issue using the latest theme version 4.3 and the latest VC Version 4.3.4, the VC row can be added like this: http://screencast.com/t/VjkXgyc7D
Should work fine, please make sure you have installed the plugin correctly, use this guide for this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Please let us know if you still have any issue with this.
Hope this helps!

Is it possible settings for filling color 100% width?

I’ll like to say since i bought ur theme back in 2013 it had been very stable and awesome support by ur team, and the last updates just prove how loyal you are to ur clients.

That’s about it. Of course there are situations when an upgraded plugin requires some changes to the theme that may delay the upgrade of that plugin even there are theme updates available. For example, VC recently updated from v2.x to v3.x and we got three or four theme updates before they upgraded the VC plugin, because of the changes in the theme required.
So yes, as far as bundled plugins, go with tagDiv’s updates and rest assured they’ll keep all features within Newspaper copacetic.
Exactly! A lot of theme developers work this way by including a “bundled” version vs making you go buy a copy, but the the new version adds some wonky thing which might break the theme. So, this is a good way to do it, but kind of annoying at times, if you’re easily annoyed by the “updates available” notice in the WP login screen 🙂
At least WP stopped the stupid email thing they had for a few versions … “email: you have updates available; I tried updating, but it didn’t work …” …. automatic updates not a great thing, in my book. (I turn them off in my wp-config.php file, actually.)
I think there have actually been more problems with YOAST SEO than any other plugin in recent memory. Three updates in one day sometimes … x1, x2 (OOPS DON”T USE IT), then x3 to fix the messup in x1 they didn’t fix right in x2, all in one day. Upshot: never install the new version of YOAST unless it’s to fix long standing bugs, as they often have a panic fix later on.
Sorry … didn’t mean to editorialize so much … 🙂
That’s VERY helpful! Thanks for the clarification and the speedy reply! So, if I understand you correctly, there’s no need to update any of the bundled plugins because they will automatically be updated when the theme itself gets updated. Is that right?
If so, it sounds like an excellent safeguard against “breaking my site.”
Yeah it bugs me too, especially when VC updates and there’s no new update on the theme yet. The phantom update notice and all.
But licensing prohibits tagDiv from giving out a license to VC, which would allow you to update the plugin directly, and the VC plugin has been well customized by tagDiv for seamless integration with Newspaper. If you were to get the plugin update outside of a Newspaper release, things on your site would break because features missing, added, and altered from the core release of VC.
Have a good one.
You might want to read the documentation. The plugin is a “bundled version” which is included with the theme. It is updated when the theme is updated, to ensure the theme is compatible with new version. Generally speaking there are no new features in the latest dot revision not showcased in the theme demo on themeforest, so you’re not “losing anything” by waiting for a fully tested update that won’t break your website.
You may wish to peruse the theme docs, note link top right of this forum “documentation” and this page specifically:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Hope that helps 🙂
I might have missed it somewhere in the files, but what I did find (in the bootstrap-modal.js file) is Bootstrap v2.3.1. Is that the version Newspaper uses?
I ask because Bootstrap is now at v3.0.2 with some major changes to mobile friendliness, among other differences between versions 2 and 3. I haven’t run into any problems yet with other bootstrap plugins conflicting with whatever version is in Newspaper, but as I’m about to buy a new highly updated gallery plugin from Envato, I’m concerned about the version.
So…
1. What version of Bootstrap does Newspaper v4.2.2 use?
2. If v4.2.2 uses Bootstrap v2.x, when will you upgrade to v3.x?
Thanks.
P.S. – Visual Composer is flagging my admin again for an update. Really annoying.
Hi,
First of all please deactivate all plugins except those that the theme requires and check again, to make sure that if this issue has nothing to do with some plugin conflict.
Please make sure you that you updated the VC composer plugin also and install it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Also please make sure if you use CDN (cloudflare) or similar please clear the cache.
If nothing helps, please make a backup of your current theme installation and re-updated the theme like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Please let me know if nothing helps.
Thanks
I needed this also, and the example provided in the screenshots above worked first time out.
Basically you’re wrapping a span class for the button in the anchor link, vs using a shortcode for the button. The example does not use the shortcode which I think is where you’re getting hung up here.
Think of it this way, and this is not the explicit example from Lucian’s code, just simpler way of showing what is happening, while *not* using a shortcode. And be sure to do in text editor mode, not visual editor mode as you’re working with plain HTML/CSS.

Hi,
Make sure you use the latest VC plugin version (4.3.3) with the last theme version (4.2.2) and also follow this guide when installing WPBakery Visual Composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Thanks
Currenlty visual composer isnt displayed on the home page when i add it to homepage
VC is asking me to enter license key? yes used steps to upload from your files
Hi. I know that you have a lot of posts about this, and i have read all of them, but i didn’t found any answer yet!
I use for homepage : Homepage – with article list . I had made also a comment in themeforest and the answer from staff was this:
Only one template comes with h1 page title – http://screencast.com/t/lrtO3f9ny
The page title (H1) or subtitle (H2) can be added manually using visual composer – http://screencast.com/t/fgekI1Gb – http://screencast.com/t/Uj6edkvf
Or by modifying the template files – http://screencast.com/t/2fcHKsQyVJ34
The other elements on page like block/modules titles use h3 and h4 tags. When we built the templates we followed the best practices used by Yoast and other SEO specialists.
If you hide the title on page using css display: none or moving it outside of the visible screen area (ex. position: absolute; top: 9999px; ) Google will penalize you. Here are some discussions on the subject – http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3239202/whats-the-correct-way-to-hide-the-h1-tag-and-not-be-banned-from-google
But it is not good for style to have a text as h1 visible! Any other suggestion? If i set logo with h1, also in posts i am going to have 2 h1 tags, and this is not right.
My website is this: http://www.radarnews.gr/
I am using advance custom fields plugin recommended by Developers on this forum. I also followed all the old threads and understand i need to edit loop-single.php to display custom fields. But, my main focus is to display custom fields in a tab inside post. I learned how to create tabs using visual composer. Now, all i need some guidance on how can i display my custom fields inside “Tab 2”. If once setup i will copy the template and will be implent it each time i need it.
The Purpose of Tabs is to display “Description” of product in Tab1 and Specs in Tab2. Please guide me so that i can handle it properly. I also purchased a plugin that can handle everything but because the plugin uses custom post type thus is not incorporating it as i need it.
Thanks
Hi,
Please try to update following this steps: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ and install it from the plugin folder that came with the theme files.
Also note that you have to use the latest theme version (4.2.2) with the WPBakery Visual Composer 4.3.3 version.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Yeah, basically some new features, house cleaning; a lot of wp configuration tools under the hood; but not the big “security panic” updates of some of the recent dot revisions. But always check the codex to see changes, since if there is a notable security fix you SHOULD update to remain secure.
