I tried to make a single page with some simple texts with the some text styles as bold, italic… and guess what? the tagDiv composer could not even do it!?!
The only useful thing for me to make my custom text in TD Composer is the “Raw html” element, but it can only add HTML, but what I wanted is I can easily bold/italic the text, adding list, coloring the text etc. and it could not even do that.
I can only make such edits with Post type but I want it with Page type too, for my homepage.
How can a page builder could not simply make these simple edits?? MUCH WORSE THAN VISUAL COMPOSER!!!
I WANT THESE SIMPLE TOOLS IN THE TD COMPOSER!!!

I am trying to use the WPBakery Page Builder in a new page I am building with Newspaper 8.7, but when I try to insert new elements, they are not shown. If I change to classic mode, the shortcodes are there, but they are not visually shown in the Backend editor so I cannot edit or order them.
I know this is a Newspaper theme error, because when I switch to one of the default themes (i.e. Twenty Seventeen), I can edit both in the backend and frontend with WPBakery’s plugin.
How can I solve this issue?

Please note that tagdiv composer is not the same Visual Composer. Image Carousel is a part of Visual Composer and unfortunately it is not available through tagdiv composer, sorry!

This usually happens when you use visual composer on your posts and activate tagdiv composer. If you used VC on posts, you cannot use the tagdiv composer as it will conflict with the shortcodes on posts.

When using both the visual composer from wpbakery and the tagdiv composer page builder, there could be incompatibility issues. Please do not use both page builders. Choose only 1 and stick with it. Disable the other page builder. Then test again.

Good day. We wanted to add a Image Carousel that links to external pages and could not find this ‘block’ in TD Composer. We thus opened the home page in Visual Composer and added the Visual Compose block – Image Carousel.
But now, when we open the Home Page in TD Composer to edit other elements the VC Image Carousel disappears…
How can we ensure this does not happen?
You could try a code like this, to limit the rows from the post content to the default post content width. The content should not overlap the sidebar anymore

But it would be difficult to fix all the situations that would be caused by the usage of the page builder on posts. The best solution in this case would be to keep using only Visual composer for the website.
Hello, team! I have a small wish for you! If there is such a possibility, you can create a document that would specify which blocks and settings you use in your demo. Visually, it is not always possible to understand this. I’m sure many like your demo, but problems with the installation occur in many and I was one of them.
Currently there is no solution for that. If you used Visual composer on posts and the tagDiv composer is active there will be layout issues. It was never recommended to use Visual composer to create posts, and it is not recommended to have both composers active at the same time.
If you could provide a link to such a post where the issue is happening, maybe something could be done with CSS to stop the layout from breaking.

How can I stop the sidebar from overlapping the content on blog posts? I’m using Visual Composer for the Blog Posts, and not TD Composer, but I use TD Composer to organize my Pages.
This is the only problem I’m running in to while having both plugins activated. If I make the post width 2/3+1/3 or 1/3+1/3+1/3, the post displays fine, but I’d rather not go through six years worth of content to change them all from full-width to 2/3+1/3.
Any advice (aside from telling me to choose TD Composer over Visual Composer) is appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to have a separate menu in mobile. However I don’t want to use the mobile theme since it seems I would have to design all the visual composer built pages from scratch to the mobile theme (or is there a way to make them work?). The mobile menu in theme seems to refer to the mobile theme’s menu and the responsive version sadly remains the same. Is there a way to have a separate mobile menu without using mobile theme and redesigning all the pages for mobile?
I have a question – when I go to disable tagDiv composer so I can actually use Visual Composer, elements from the homepage no longer work. Do you have a solution?
Yes, but it does not need to be as complex as the revolution slider.
I also understand that they have to correct many things since the last update and that are priority. But I also think that you should think about selling the product too. Nowadays almost all the themes have their own sliders. Some simpler others a little more complex.
Once again when I asked for a newsletter box (2 years ago), the answer was that there were plugins for that. Time gave me the reason and you had to put a box for the mail.

Since you build a “block flex”, start thinking of a similar one for the grid, slider or whatever you want to call it low requirements. think of a MULTIGRID where you can enter and choose any of the options that you now offer. And let each one configure it as he wants.

Like you can see, when a user is logged in he finds some articles, but, when he is logged out, he sees others articles.
When a user is logged out, he sees also articles that aren’t of the category chosen in backend for this visual composer block (see visual-composer.jpg attachment).

Notice that we do not recommend to use both page builders in simultaneously mode, sorry! You should remove the Visual Composer if it is enabled. Also, try to re-create the page using the TD COmposer and check the results.

The latest changes to the theme and composer have increased the options and possibilities of what can be achieved with them. What latest changes have disappointed you exactly? Most of the additions are optional, you could simply not use them if they are not required for you.
Indeed the tagDiv composer is the main page builder at the moment. It will be integrated further with the theme. Some theme options may only be used with it active. The theme can still be used with Visual composer, this is still provided in the package and updated along theme updates.
The frontend of Visual composer has always been disabled in the theme. This was done because there could be problems using it with our blocks and grids. If you want to remove the function that disables the frontend in Visual composer check this topic

But note that this is highly not recommended.
The tagDiv composer can be disabled if you do not use it. You can use Visual composer further.

The multi-purpose plugin adds more functionality to the composer, meaning row layouts and many elements that can be used on pages. The recommended method of switching to the tagDiv composer is to recreate the pages entirely with it if possible. Then there will be no more problems.
On posts for the moment the tagDiv composer cannot be used, this may change in a future update.
The tagDiv composer uses the same row/column shortcode as Visual composer, there is a level of compatibility between the two page builders

Hi,
How do I use shortcodes on Post pages when I am using usual WordPress editor? I see no option to insert the shortcodes. I have The visual editor installed. I want use Info boxes and other things in my post but use the usual wordpress editor only.
I updated to the latest version of Newspaper from 7.0.1 (yes!). But I’m not happy with the performance.
I was not using Visual Composer or TagDiv composer for inserting the beautiful big block on the homepage, but I was allowed to insert 1-2 block styles without any of these plugins, but this can’t be done anymore in new version.
Please bring this feature back. I don’t want to use Visual or TagDiv Composers, I don’t need them and they are heavy, resources hungry.
I’m very disappointed with recent changes made to Newspaper theme.
Visual Composer was awesome and could apply to posts and not only pages which I absolutely need !
I read on the forum that we could continue using VC if we wanted but that following improvements will only apply on TD Composer.
Yeah… but you disabled frontend editing with VC, which is a really helpful feature when it comes to editing CSS !
Don’t mind about future improvements as I got all I need with VC so is there a way to disable TD composer and bring back the frontend use of VC ?

I’m having some issues with the sidebar. In posts and as the default sidebar, it works fine. But when I add it though the visual composer plugin, whit the widgetized bar, it doesn’t turns smart and floating.
I followed all the steps in the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/ and I don’t use any CDN in my web.
I checked deactivating all the plugins and erasing all custom lines of code.

Hello,
You will not be able to use the layout created initially in visual composer. If you create a page in one page builder, stick to that page builder. If you want to change page builders, you have to re-create pages with that page builder. tagdiv composer does not recognize visual composer elements and vice-versa.
