Dear Sirs,
I made my website using Newspaper theme, everything is going well but the website is very slow to load pages.

On desktop the time loading is c.ca 12 seconds.

On mobile it’s impossible to use the website, since for each scroll it needs a couple of seconds to load the visible content. I tried the Mobile Theme, it’s faster but I don’t like it (it’s too simplistic and different from the desktop version).

Please can you help me to improve my website speed on Desktop and Mobile, otpimizing it as much as possible?

Thank you so much!

Hello,

Are you in the mood to testify on the live page of the litespeed cache plugin?

I have noticed that they block my work scripts, which display google adsence.
I can send you access data for the website by e-mail.

Hi, I have already installed the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, tested and configured it in Mobile + AMP.
I notice that all my pages look good, except the Home (attached photo- HOME) https://www.radiomarcabarcelona.com/goodnews-design/home.png
The Home looks like in Mobile format, and I don’t know why, now while I wait for your answer I have deactivated it.
I have also done a PageSpeed test and attached the 2 screenshots where you can see how my website looks with tagDiv Mobile Theme activated.
https://www.radiomarcabarcelona.com/goodnews-design/mobile.png
https://www.radiomarcabarcelona.com/goodnews-design/web.png
I hope to know why the Home looks like this with the plugin activated. Thank you

Hi acoustics86,

Yes, the LCP is a new element that was add by google an our theme like more of the theme has elements that when you are using can caused LCP. Our developers are working to improve these elements and to make the theme to get better results with every update that we make and even when new obstacles appears we face them. I’m sure that the problem with LCP will be improve in coming updates.

As for mobile theme plugin, this is making the mobile version faster, but hes less options and you still need to optimize your website.

For removing CLS from website, you can check these topic:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpb-wrapper-causes-cls-in-desktop-version/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-cls-cumulative-layout-shift-from-html-element/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/to-high-cumulative-layout-shift-in-mobile-theme/

Also please note that only testing demos page speed you’ll not see improvements, this is caused by more elements, like the plugins, options images content and so on, therefore all you use on our website can influence your website page speed.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Jumich, yes, you can use the child theme if you made changes in theme files, is even recommended for that, what is not recommended is to use the child theme for something that now it can be ah\chive using tagDiv Cloud Library, that is way we usually recommend to users to try cloud templates and only if they can not achieve what they need to use the child theme.
Also for page speed you can check the suggestions from these topics -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-want-to-speed-up-mine-website/
Hope these will help you!
Thank you!

Thanks, I made all of those updates. My desktop speed is a lot better now but mobile speed was still bad. I tried the mobile theme instead but still can’t get LCP under 4 seconds, even when I tested with most of my plugins disabled. I’m on managed WordPress hosting so that’s not the issue.

I tried a few of your demos and all of them scored pretty poorly on desktop and mobile pagespeed tests. One shouldn’t have to do so many tweaks to get an optimized theme and website. These should come out of the box blazing fast and optimized for desktop and mobile.

Could it be that when your themes were made years ago when site speed and LCP wasn’t as much as a factor (and now LCP is one of the biggest site speed factors), that your themes were not built for this and now they are outdated when it comes to LCP, at least on mobile?

So what’s being done to fix this? I’m not paying a custom service if your products are outdated. I thought a year of support meant that you would actually get into the site to help fix this, like how Thrive Themes actually helps fix problems without sending customers to a pricing page when they ask a question.

What are your fastest templates that I can test out?

Thanks

Hello !

1. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.

You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !

Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC

Hi,

I did a SEO Website Checker and got 56 of 100 which is very poor. Here is the link to the report – https://sitechecker.pro/app/main/project/1137019/audit/summary

For example it says “Description is missing on 120 pages”, but where do I insert description on this theme page/posts?

What can I do to improve this score on the theme end?

Also, on google speed test is 6/100, my score is which is really poor. How can I increase the speed?
