We have investigate your website and as you can see you can improve your page speed using a cloudflare, minfying the javascript ( I would suggest Fast Velocity Minify ) is not tested with newspaper theme but We have seen that a lot of users use it and it provides better results.

First of all, I want to say that I am very sad. I think I made the wrong choice. Previously, I bought many themes from Envato (Betheme etc). You’re one of the worst examples I’ve met in response speed and solution generation.
In this link on your website (https://tagdiv.com/wpml-newspaper-theme-compatibility/) you talk about your compatibility with third-party translation plugins. It was a feature I checked before I bought your theme. But now you say that currently other translations do not come from the Newspaper theme.
I also want to ask you two things. You totally ignore one.
In my previous ticket, if there is no direct solution to this issue. since you’re the manufacturer of the theme, I’ve asked you to share which files I need to edit for this fields. You have no comments or comments about this.

From the Newspaper 10 release notes, I thought the upgrade would significantly improve my website speed/performance. However, after having upgraded from 9.8 to 10.2, I do not see any performance improvement. In fact, GTMetrix tests reveal that my score has gone down. Also please note that for the mobile versions there is available the Mobile Theme plugin which mean a smaller version of Newspaper theme with almost no modifications available. Maybe I’m not right but I do not think that there is a premium theme that have a grate score/speed only installing it on your website without making some optimizations on the website. Indeed there can be some difference that can depend on the theme loading if the theme need to load more css.

Sometimes if the website resources like the stylesheet are slow to load, the result my be negative. If the style is not loaded in time when running the test the mobile version will look like this -> https://i.imgur.com/zBYHcxE.png so it will mention that the menu item links are too close together. But actually when checking with a phone there is no problem.

It’s not completely clear after reading the documentation how to start with this. We install the pro demo (without content)? But when I tried this, this is messing up quite a few things on our current designs. We need to rework every single blogpost with a cloud template? What is the easiest way to do this?

But I think that you are using the mobile theme plugin, and you can not see the content as on desktop. All PRO Layouts if you check them have a great page speed. That is because they no longer use dependand elements, converting to a PRO layout means building your entire website using tagDiv Composer that will be made only of shortcodes which work much faster.
In order to convert to a faster layout we suggest you to disable the standard pack plugin and re-design your pages accordingly.

Unfortunately we didn’t tested any compress plugin there fore I can not say how this is working, you can make a test and after you new image ( compresses ) was made delete the original image and check to see if the image is displaying right on your website and if the problem with that image was solved on google page speed.

Here is what I have found out after a great deal of time spent on that subject. I report it because I guess it will be helpful for some fellows as the newspaper theme and the wp rss aggregator plugin are very popular in their respective market and that makes sense they should be a good companion for each other.
There is a special configuration for the bug to happen:
– it affects the single post view
– newspaper side (version 10.1): it happens when activating a cloud based template for displaying the single post view and/or selecting a page in the footer page settings
– wp rss aggregator side: it happens when using the WP RSS Aggregator – Feed to Post add-on plugin (version 3.11) with the trimming feature enabled.
When selecting a cloud based single post template: what happens is that the read more link generated by the plugin not only shows up at the end of the trimmed text as expected but shows up again at the very bottom of the post below sections like the author box, the related posts, the social counters etc.
When selecting a page in the footer page settings: this read more link shows up again at the very bottom of the webpage, ie below the footer.
The workaround to prevent this bug from happening consists of NOT using the cloud based template for the single post view and NOT selecting a page in the footer page setting, that means using the standard single post and footer templates instead. Basically that means to not take advantage of what the Newspaper version 10 release is all about, ie using only cloud based templates and deactivating the standard templates in order to speed up the website.

We’re seeing some improvements, don’t know if you did anything but the page speed on mobile and in general is better but the one thing that’s left from what we can tell is the host itself not being good enough for your page speed since the website waits for the host a lot..
