Please check the image aspect ratio as not all aspect ratios will work properly with the slider. If the image is not wide enough it will get stretched. Your image must be at least 1068 pixels wide.

If they don’t, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Css works in cascades. If you have more than 1 rewrite on the same element you will be able to see the cascades happen. The default color is blue. If you cahange to a demo that changes the color to green as the news magazine demo does and then set your own custom color again, the rewrites will be seen on the front-end especially on a slow connection. I have tested the custom menu but it works fine on our end. Please make sure you clear all caching on your site and contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache they might have in place.
Plugins can also interfere so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. The class is just a simple body class that is added to each demo so we can create specific css that affects only that particular demo and not others as well. CSS is very specific so you have to wrap everything in it;s own class if you do not want to create a code that applies to all the other demos as well. Each demo has it;s own class. The black version has td-black, the news magazine demo has a class of td-magazine etc.
Each demo in particular has it’s own class.

Unfortunately the theme does not have a setting to make the logo link to anything else. You can use a 301 redirect or alter the theme code in order to get the logo to link to another url.

The ad container will still be there even if you do not use a header ad. Please use a header style that shows the full logo for example headers style 9, 10 or 11

Please also test this on a wp default theme such as twentysixteen. It sounds like a caching issue. You probably have a very string cache or a cache plugin as well as a hosting side cache.

Yes indeed it seems the data source is being ignored but it also does this on a WP default theme. It is a visual composer element, not a theme element. It seems the data source is not working properly. We will have to wait for an update from the plugin developer for a fix.
