There’s no ideal size. For best graphic results you could use a full HD image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed.

Please try to make a new install from scratch with the latest version of the theme using the FTP method because this is the surest method in this regard. In your case, you are not using the Adsense and therefore you will have to use the DIV’s method to do your banner ad to be responsive. I have checked your source page and I have noticed that you are using the child theme, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/iUfmfcZUnbN6 First of all, please try to switch the theme to the main theme, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system, clear server cache (if you do not have any access to this process you will have to request it to your hosting provider). Also, if you want to use the Child theme, please notice that you will have to use the latest version of it which come bundled with the theme. Please try to do all of these steps and then try to check again and see the results.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for it and the theme has not been designed to be used in more than 1021 px for width.
Please notice that our theme does not have such an option for dynamic width and we do not recommend to do that through the custom CSS code because the layout of the theme will be damaged. If you want to change the width of the theme to be in full-width mode, please notice that is not a simple task and you will have to adjust the entire theme to the new width for better results. If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
