I think you are referring to the feature image thumb .
The theme make a thumb for each thumb module/block you have activate in theme panel.

Once that you change the feature image and you update that post all thumbs that are enable in theme panel will be generate automatic.

In order to remove the thumbs that are no more use, you can use a plugin like Force Regenerate Thumbnails
Force Regenerate Thumbnails allows you to delete all old images size and REALLY regenerate the thumbnails for your image attachments.

Unfortunately there is no option to do that, sorry; perhaps this is possible with some custom work in the code, but it need to have some code skills to do that.
If you want to have this functionality, you need to implement it yourself through the code and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take I this case, please consider hiring freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Please notice that the AMP template will only work on pages that do not use any page builder. Only pages that are created using the standard tiny mce editor will be valid AMP pages.
