My recommendation is to wait 1-2 days, and a new theme update to be made (various fixes for the current theme update). Also, please make sure you have a complete backup of the site before the update, or best of all, do a test for each site separately on a staging.
After the update, please check if there are any landmarks that need to be generated, also please if you can provide some images of the elements where they should be to show them to the developers.

I’m glad you resolved the situation in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly what happened in this case, I can only give my opinion from similar cases. It is possible that the theme plugins were not installed automatically, in which case they must be installed from Newspaper > plugins (I think this is the most common situation), once the plugins are installed everything returns to normal. Another situation is when during the theme update another plugin or setting on the host interferes with it, and all the settings in the theme panel are lost (I think this is the worst case), in this situation what needs to be done is to use a backup from the theme panel https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
But the most recommended of all is that when an update appears, it should be tested on a staging that is a 1:1 copy of the site, you can use wp staging, this way you can test if everything will go well during the update or if problems arise and how they can be solved in a timely manner.

Did you check the theme plugins after the theme update to ensure all the previous plugins are installed and up to date? You can do this under Newspaper > Plugins.

There are no templates for pages. If you have a page and you want to use it on other pages, just duplicate that page and edit it.

The demo you are using has 2 types of headers: one is an overlay over the content, and the other is a normal header. The situation appears to be with the one with an overlay over the content.
