Setting the border on the text with title would look similar – http://prntscr.com/na21hr
I used a border radius of 10px. This should’t take long to do. You can save this customized element after you create it and re-use it, change only the text in it (or save it empty) – http://prntscr.com/na24zr – http://prntscr.com/na256b
Of course you can also use HTML and CSS to create it, in a raw HTML element for example, or what you think best.
If you have problems with the composer, provide more details about it so we can understand what is happening exactly.
Hi,
I believe the mobile theme plugin is active, that would explain it. When the mobile theme is active, pages that you created with the composer for example, will be blank on mobile (except the homepage which has predefined content)
– https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Each page will require two versions, one for desktop and one for mobile (the mobile editor must be used). Using the mobile theme, a simpler (thus noticeably faster) version of the website will be displayed on mobile.
This plugin is optional however, if you deactivate it the responsive version will take place. Meaning the website desktop content will adapt for mobile.
I should note that the mobile theme can be used together with AMP since a few updates ago – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Yes, when installing a demo without content pages will not be provided. On the other hand if it’s installed with content, the pages will be imported and they will display demo posts. I should have mentioned this previously, sorry for this.
Create pages or import them from the cloud (these can be edited and modified). Configure each element inside them to display the content you want, then set it as homepage.
There are many elements in the cloud, like block and grid designs, sections etc. These can be used to quickly create pages and templates.
Please let us know if you have more questions, we will help you as best we can.
Hi,
That error usually happens when there is insufficient memory, we recommend a value of 256M if possible. You can increase it in the wp-config file as mentioned in this guide
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
Or contact the hosting provider so they can increase it for you if needed.
Also note the code mentioned at the bottom of the guide – http://prntscr.com/na0kd7
That should be entered in the htaccess file, it also solved many similar problems.
If you already checked these, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide us with admin login so we can take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Thanks
I understand what you mean. There are plans to modify the actions or circumstances in which the messages (not errors) appear, currently this has not been modified since the introduction of the composer a while back. I’m sorry for the confusion this may create.
If the pages/cloud templates have been built entirely with composer elements or simply imported, the message can be ignored at all times when it appears.
Errors are in most cases caused by various codes entered in the page content by some means, or plugins, mostly the error mentioned in this guide at point 5
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion. What you are trying to do is possible.
1. A border can be set for most elements in the composer. For example you can set it on the text with title itself – http://prntscr.com/n9zrmi or on the column
– http://prntscr.com/n9zser or on the whole row – http://prntscr.com/n9zt2o
If you need something different let me know.
2. The text can be split in two columns, like this – http://prntscr.com/n9ztsp
Or you could use two different rows like this for example – http://prntscr.com/n9zuti (split the bottom row in as many columns as needed and possible)
Add a title element in the top full row, and column texts in the bottom row
– http://prntscr.com/n9zvmr
This way the title will be full regardless of the number of columns in the row below.
Thanks
Hi,
@KingsleyMediaCorp We could take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel will be helpful. We will check it. Include a link to this topic in the email.
@bpotter We try to reply as soon as possible, note that if you keep replying in your own topic multiple times before we reply, it will only delay the answer from us. It will refresh the topic date and add it to the bottom of the queue. We answer from oldest to newest.
Thanks
Hi,
Should display the logo that is set in the theme panel, menus as well, with the header template chosen in the panel.
What if you set a new page as homepage – https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
You can build a new page with the tagDiv composer or import one and configure it
– https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/
Demo homepages designed by us can be imported with the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Homepages
The blocks, grids and other post displaying elements will show posts according to the filtering set for each – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Ads can be set in the theme panel predefined spots, or the ad codes can be inserted in an ad box element in the composer directly – http://prntscr.com/n9zjyu
We could take a look first hand to see what is happening, so we can understand better. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
One solution would be to push the content and sidebar down a little
– http://prntscr.com/n9yey4 – http://prntscr.com/n9yf53
You could give it a try, here is the code
.single .td-main-content,
.single .td-ss-main-sidebar {
margin-top: 60px!important;
}
Thanks
Hi,
It is possible if you use a cloud header template. The header menu element has an option to remove the images – http://prntscr.com/n9xho1 – http://prntscr.com/n9xhwt
It could be done with some CSS if you don’t use a cloud header template. I could give you a code for it if needed, provide a link to the website and mention for which menu item you want this. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
So you would like to disable the sidebar in posts? That is possible for each post http://prntscr.com/n9xb36
Or you can leave that setting on default, then it will inherit the primary category sidebar setting – https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
If you want to control more posts at once when it comes to sidebars, you can use the primary category. All the posts have a primary category even if you do not set one. By default it will be the first category alphabetically from the categories the post has.
So if you leave in the post edit screen the settings on default, the post will inherit them from the primary category. The category settings are in the theme panel
– http://prntscr.com/n0u5ta
This would be all there is to it. If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That is possible, first split the row containing those blocks like this for example
– http://prntscr.com/n9x73o
This will create an additional column in which you can add the sidebar you want.
This is a guide for the composer if you want to take a look – https://tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-page-builder-basics/
There is helpful information in it, useful to know when using the composer. Let me know if you need help.
Thanks
Hi,
The theme panel has ad spots that can be used, in the composer there are also ad boxes in which you can add the code directly – http://prntscr.com/n9wyx1 these can be placed anywhere the tagDiv composer can be used. You can use Adsense ads or other types of ads
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
As plugins are concerned I can’t say for sure what you could use or not. We haven’t testes such plugins unfortunately. Maybe some other users can share their experience with then.
Hard coding I don’t exactly know what this requires.
Thanks
I believe I understand now. I tried setting a background image for the mobile menu zone, it appears like this – http://prntscr.com/n9wvi4 That is the height of the zone so the image background will have the same height. Using the full height setting will make the zone proportional to the viewport I believe.
In order to display a bigger mobile header to allow the background to be bigger as well, one solution would be to set some padding, for example – http://prntscr.com/n9wwig
– http://prntscr.com/n9wwn5
You could check some similar topics about that index error
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problem-with-search-2/
Also what PHP version are you using? Try if possible to use versions 7, 7.1 or 7.2. Older version can cause various problems.
Hi,
I believe such an option may be added for the cloud header menu element, in a future update.
For the moment with a theme setting it is not possible. However I could give you a CSS code for it
2 columns – http://prntscr.com/n9w5z3
.menu-item-49 > .sub-menu{
-moz-column-count: 2;
-webkit-column-count: 2;
column-count: 2;
width: 20em!important;
}
3 columns – http://prntscr.com/n9w6a4
.menu-item-49 > .sub-menu{
-moz-column-count: 3;
-webkit-column-count: 3;
column-count: 3;
width: 30em!important;
}
This code can be entered in the theme panel custom CSS code section
– http://prntscr.com/n9w7ed
I can modify it if needed, or if it does no properly. It will apply only to that menu item, the one with the dropdown. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Quite unusual that the problem is with that specific element, while others work. I made a quick test on my end with that element, seems to work alright – http://prntscr.com/n9vzoi
Does the same happens if you temporarily deactivate all non-theme plugins? Could be a plugin that causes it.
In case the problem remains and you want us to take a look at it, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
The sidebar has to be created in the template itself, there will be no sidebar settings in the theme panel when a cloud template is selected for a category.
Setting fixed widths for the columns of a row is possible – http://prntscr.com/n9vtba
Also the space between the columns can be changed – http://prntscr.com/n9vv9u
But using these fixed widths will damage responsiveness as it will apply to all devices, you can try and set widths for each viewport – http://prntscr.com/n9vu1i (a value can be entered for each viewport and it will be loaded accordingly). Keep checking with those options when designing, to see how it looks on other devices.
Nothing to worry about in most cases when that message is displayed. That message appear when making changes in the backend of pages, for example like saving it as draft, changing the page template and updating the page etc.
The tagDiv composer was built by us, it uses similar shortcodes as WPBakery to provide an easier transition between the two if needed. So for example a page that is built with either, containing theme provided blocks, grids etc will work with each of them.
If on the other hand a page contains specific elements from WPBakery it should be edited only with WPBakery, or if it contains tagDiv composer specific elements it should be edited only with the tagDiv composer.
Please let me know if you have further questions or you need help.
Hi,
So the problem is happening only when the tagDiv composer and the other plugin are active at the same time. The multi-purpose plugin is included in the tagDiv composer since quite a while back, so when the tagDiv composer is active the multi-purpose plugin will also be active.
I don’t know why this conflict happens unfortunately. We made no tests with the plugin you are referring to, so I can’t say what is causing the problem.
In some cases having 500 errors was caused by low wp-memory (deactivating plugins worked as it freed up memory), we recommend a value of 256M if possible. If needed try to increase it and activate both plugins again, worth a try.
Thanks
Hi,
Flex blocks can do that, this option is per device – http://prntscr.com/n9ktou So with these blocks you can have for example 3 posts on desktop, and one on mobile.
The limit setting is not per device at the moment – http://prntscr.com/n9kuqr
Thanks
That is correct, the AMP links will be /?amp. There will be no problem in the matter. Please let me know if you have more questions.
A code like this will do the trick – http://prntscr.com/n9j5cg
It can be entered in the theme panel custom CSS section
.gsc-search-button svg {
vertical-align: middle;
}
Hi,
I currently see an ad displayed below the header – http://prntscr.com/n9j0vg for me it appears in both desktop and mobile. Maybe the problem is not with this ad however. Where exactly is this video ad appearing? I could take a look at it, let me know.
It should appear across all devices – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Thanks
Hi,
Quite unusual, I also have Yoast installed, but the composer editing buttons appear in both Gutenberg and the classic editor
– http://prntscr.com/n9iv9u – http://prntscr.com/n9iwmw
Are you using the latest theme and plugins versions? This may happen if you use an older theme and latest WordPress for example.
Thanks
