Hi,

What buttons are you referring to exactly? I will try to help you, please mention some more details about it.

Thanks

Hi,

Please post a link to your website so we can test the AMP. Leave the AMP and mobile theme plugins activated, as well as the required option in the theme panel.

Thanks

hi,

Sorry for this, but note that if you keep replying in your own topic before we reply, it will only delay the answer from us. It will refresh the topic date and add it to the bottom of the queue. We answer from oldest to newest.

Regarding the ads, what kind of ads are you using? maybe you use adsense, in this case there will be a period of time before ads will be served by Google

Hi,

Maybe you want to create something like the logo in the theme demo website
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I believe the image logo used by the demo is in APNG format, since a while ago. You could create your own, upload it and set it as logo
https://wiki.mozilla.org/APNG_Specification

Hi,

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t support RTL, there is no stylesheet we can provide for RTL. It would require extensive modifications in the theme design and other elements in order to customize the theme for RTL. We are sorry for this inconvenience, maybe you could consider using a theme that has RTL support out of the box instead, if this required for your website.
We can provide a refund if you should request it, let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

I see the mobile theme is active, but not the AMP plugin. Now ads are displayed
http://prntscr.com/mwb78p

If you plan to use the AMP plugin and AMP auto ads, that is where the respective code has to be entered. We have tested this and it should work. Just remember to test with a mobile emulator, not in desktop.

If you want us to test, send us admin login at contact@tagdiv.com so we can activate the AMP plugin and make some tests, also see the error you mention. Let us know.

Thanks

You could still use the previous theme version and the old AMP plugin, as to when it will be deprecated I cannot say.

@GiacomoLaw
If you want us to check you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will. Basically all there has to be done is mentioned in the guide. Install both plugins and activate the option in the theme panel.

@gossiponthis
Why exactly do you need to rebuild all pages now? The previous AMP plugin did not have an option to build pages. The functionality now is the same as always with the mobile theme, just with AMP support. Maybe I am misunderstanding. Let me know.

Hi,

Maybe that plugin does not work with AMP, the plugin developer should be able to mention if this is the case. Or maybe the problem is with the mobile theme itself. Try to test if it works when only the mobile theme is active, or when only the AMP plugin is active.

Thanks

Hi,

You can activate the theme in a testing install, there will be no problem doing so, it is mentioned in the theme documentation
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Something like that is not possible with the current settings in the theme, the category hierarchy will not be taken into account in the ajax filter. They will all be treated and displayed the same.

Each block can display the ajax filter – http://prntscr.com/mwafsi
http://prntscr.com/mwalyr
Maybe these are helpful to you.

Hi,

I checked your website, seems to load quite fast at the moment – http://prntscr.com/mwac4e
http://prntscr.com/mwacem
There are no errors in the console, basically no problem at first glance. The theme lazy load is working properly as well. Let me know if I should check anything specific.

Hi,

The first and most important step would be to carefully read the theme requirements guide, there will be various issues if these are not met
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Also this topic containing the most common cause for composer problems
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

If the problem remains, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Thanks

@Confiqueror Please try and ignore those errors as mentioned above, there will be no actual problem. After the next update they will not appear anymore.

If you want to see if there are AMP errors, yest your post with the AMP validation tool
https://validator.ampproject.org/

Hi,

@suresh
So you have installed both plugins, then you activate the option in the theme panel, and testing a post with the validator tool and that error is displayed?
https://validator.ampproject.org/
We could take a look at it, send us admin login at contact@tagdiv.com and mention all the details about it. Please include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

What exactly were you editing before this happened? Do you use a cloud header template for that page or a general cloud header template? What if you switch to a default header template temporarily, does the same happen?

Seems to refer to the header main menu element, if you placed this in the page or used it in a header template, check it is configured properly – http://prntscr.com/mw9us7 check what values are entered in the mega-menu tab. Let me know.

Hi,

When the mobile theme plugin is active, pages will not display the same content as on desktop. Each page requires two versions, one for desktop created with the composer or in any way possible in the theme, and one for mobile created with the simple mobile editor and it’s capabilities – http://prntscr.com/mw64sfhttps://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Posts, category pages author pages etc, will use a predefined template on mobile created specially for mobile. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

@andresnor
I believe this issue was fixed, despite not being in the changelog. I tested again with Safari, seems to be fixed. Provide a link to your website where the issue is happening so I can check with Safari. Let me know.

Hi,

Besides the new implementation with the official AMP plugin and the mobile theme, there weren’t any other major modifications made in the theme. A few new features were added and some fixes.

So if you do not use the mobile theme and the AMP plugin everything should be as before. The mobile theme was modified to work with the AMP plugin. Maybe double check the implementation of the plugin, ad codes, clear all caching and CDN if used.

Thanks

It will be done in the next theme update, sorry again for the inconvenience.

3. That would be true, the mobile theme doesn’t have that many settings. Most elements are predefined, this is why it is lighter. We will add more options in it now that it has also been integrated with the official AMP plugin.
From what I know Google changed the testing method a while back, this is why now the results are quite different when compared to before this algorithm change. I see that render blocking would be the main issue when checking you website with the tool
http://prntscr.com/mw86n1
Maybe try and eliminate or at least optimize in this matter. Try some render blocking plugins for example, there may be other methods.

7. Seems in this case there is also an inline margin left – http://prntscr.com/mw8fd3
Quite unusual. I can give you a code for it, to make it look better
http://prntscr.com/mw8qf6

.td-g-rec-id-content_top .adsbygoogle {
margin-left:auto!important;
}

Looks like the ad does not respect the size it is supposed to appear in for some reason. I see that it is supposed to appear in 300×250 but it does not. What if you try and select that setting in the theme panel for mobile? – http://prntscr.com/mw8s09 let me know.

8. Setting a background color would best be left until the ads display issue is solved. It would appear just on the top and bottom at the moment.

In the post meta there is a mention of the post template each post uses, for example

Maybe this is helpful to you.

I am asking because the buttons look similar to the pagination of a smart list, note that in order to display ads in a smart list post content you have to use the dedicated sections in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/mw7k3c

Not all smart lists have an ad spot however, only styles 6,7 and 8. The ad will appear in a predefined spot, for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/whitewater-rafting-day-trip-new-york-east/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/10-landscapes-wont-even-imagined-exist/

So to place ads around the pagination buttons in a smart list is not possible by default. Only by modifications to the smart list templates would it be possible, these are some similar topics

Hi,

Maybe double check the code used to create the shortcode, could be a problem there. if it works in one page it should work in the others as well. Check some guides for example
https://torquemag.io/2017/06/custom-shortcode/
https://wpshout.com/how-to-create-wordpress-shortcodes/
Maybe even make some tests with a plugin – https://alienwp.com/shortcodes-wordpress/

I don’t have much experience with adding and using shortcodes, if you follow the basic implementation of them they should work properly. Also note the issue I mentioned above which happened in older theme versions.

Thanks
