Hi,
On our test installs there don’t appear to be any issues so far. If you encounter any issues please provide examples and a link to the website so we can check.
Thank you!
I have checked and replied by email. As I mentioned there, the issue happens because you are using custom built templates from a child theme, this kind of templates can’t be edited with our composer. This is normal. Only content and templates provided by our theme can be edited with the composer.
Thank you!
Hi,
This post uses a standard post template https://www.israele360.com/ben-gvir-al-centro-delle-polemiche/ The composer will not be available for it.
This post uses a cloud post template https://www.israele360.com/hezbollah-tra-israele-e-libano-cosa-sta-succedendo/ The composer will be available.
Usually all the posts use the global post template. So in the post page you can leave the default selected template option -> https://prnt.sc/hdWWy0a4PPo3
Then you set a cloud post template either here -> https://prnt.sc/IpeMZ4YyuE86 or here -> https://prnt.sc/TR90eEP_BIHs
Or is everything set correctly when you check?
Thank you!
Hi,
The images should be 1,2,3,4 on mobile. The second image falls below the first one, then the fourth image falls below the third one.
I tested it as well exactly as you did. I created a 2 column row with an image in 2 columns, then I cloned it -> https://prnt.sc/uaXlvgDybmWw
It looks like this https://prnt.sc/9T-v2D8x1t8V
On mobile the images are 1,2,3,4 -> https://prnt.sc/23DciExz241q
Are you sure there are 2 rows? If there’s only one row and two columns with two images in each of them, then the order would be 1,3,2,4.
I can take a look at the page with the images, please provide a link to it.
Thank you!
Hi,
I believe you are referring to the post template. Are you perhaps using a cloud post template? If so, this kind of template can be customized with the composer.
There should be a composer edit button while viewing a post from your website -> https://prnt.sc/8BgvnTF3-AfQ
Or you can edit it from the cloud library dashboard -> https://prnt.sc/–6oI6XuMJTa
But in case I am misunderstanding, please mention more details.
Thank you!
Hi,
Does it not appear anywhere?
Pages can be edited from 3 places:
https://prnt.sc/XPEhs9ZX4F8C
https://prnt.sc/vtLue-qw1Ehf
https://prnt.sc/qbrNIebaTIJU
Templates also from 3 places:
https://prnt.sc/50GIylwh99Sx
https://prnt.sc/E9ezgMVnFdA5
https://prnt.sc/X6koiIPk_TP3 -> https://prnt.sc/DHejC5e2JsQZ
I’ll try to test with a MAC and Chrome as well, but it would be very strange if none of these options are available.
Thank you!
Hi,
If paragraphs are created then on the frontend there will be margins below each one https://prnt.sc/7viiznCqJKae
I’m checking on my test install with the latest theme and WordPress 7. I have this block of text https://prnt.sc/n0-5HKEkfR_T
A soft return splits the text while maintaining the paragraph https://prnt.sc/mcbNBR9AUPYJ
A hard return creates a new paragraph https://prnt.sc/rhjIDKirFauv
Seems to function same as before. Shift + Enter is a soft return, Enter is a hard return.
If you want I can take a look at it on your website, maybe I can find the cause of the problem. You can send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website (admin user and pass) and please include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
That usually means that there’s a problem with the page content, if it happens just in a specific page. Or if it happens everywhere there may be a problem with the header or the footer. Or it could be a conflict with a plugin.
I’ll take a look at it and try to find the cause. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. I will check as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hi,
By default all the elements from the composer are responsive, meaning they adapt to display correctly on all these viewports -> https://prnt.sc/QnpXl1VFmOC_
If maybe you set fixed widths for rows or columns or other elements, for example -> https://prnt.sc/ULfoy2IdrjSl then those widths are inherited by default by all the other viewports. So while it may look good on desktop, it will probably not look good on smaller devices. That’s why it can be adjusted per viewport, you can for example set a different smaller width on tablet -> https://prnt.sc/WmDFYsPu8nmK It depends.
If I could see the page I can could inspect it with the browser inspector and see why it displays like that. Could you provide a link? Or if maybe the website is private, you can send a link by email at contact@tagdiv.com also maybe provide admin login so I can check the page directly in the composer.
Thank you!
I tested this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/read-more-without-refresh/ and it works fine.
I add the fist shortcode where I want the button to appear -> https://prnt.sc/Gm8VKbq3wnPV
And the last shortcode at the end, or where I want the read more hidden content to end -> https://prnt.sc/_3L00TGUQZu1
The button is displayed like this -> https://prnt.sc/qjKVVJwlmip7 and it works fine.
Have you tried this plugin? Please try it and make sure you use it correctly -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/read-more-without-refresh/#installation
Thank you!
Hi,
If the post template is broken, you could try restoring an older revision. Edit it in the backend -> https://prnt.sc/CnhAJzqpp50q and restore a previous revision from when it worked -> https://prnt.sc/mS6Zg9AbNnRN Or import a fresh template from the cloud library.
Or in case I am misunderstanding the problem, it would be best if I can check the issue as well. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. This way I can check the broken template as well, maybe the issue can be fixed.
Thank you!
I don’t understand what you mean unfortunately. Blocks and grids can’t be converted to pages. Blocks are for displaying posts from your website.
There are 575 blocks in the cloud library -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks which you can import anywhere you want on the website. Please explore other blocks if you want a different design.
To make the block display the posts that you want please check the filter section of the block -> https://prnt.sc/FogFOqDf81Tm
Also please check this guide explaining the block settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Maybe the post template is not the same one. All I’m seeing on the website is this template https://prnt.sc/lhQ2U-2wzmiY
Maybe you used a cloud library template before. Please check in the cloud library, if there are any post templates there please check the box next to it to set it on the website -> https://prnt.sc/uwH0__JUn5q_
If there aren’t any cloud post templates, please import one and set it on the website -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/ Edit it with the composer to move everything you want in the position you want.
Please try it.
Thank you!
Hi,
The mobile theme is optional, use it only if you want to. The mobile theme has it’s own homepage, header, footer, post template, category template etc. These are created to be as simple as possible. All the available settings for the mobile theme are in the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Everything is supposed to change after you activated it, it should look as presented here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ But if you want to use the mobile theme and there are design problems, I can check as well. Let me know.
This is the logo I see on your website on desktop -> https://prnt.sc/qoEBatFN4683
And on mobile -> https://prnt.sc/LiFBcobZB4wc
The desktop logo and the mobile logo are independent from each other, so they can be different. The logos are set in the composer like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ll take a look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website (admin user and pass). If there’s something that you are doing in the composer and it’s never saved, I can try that directly, let me know. I’ll check as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t think you are using a mobile page.
Have you set a mobile page here -> https://prnt.sc/_xtqXPG3dwKO and it’s not being displayed?
Or what should I check exactly? Please mention more details.
Thank you!
Thank you for the details.
From what I see that’s just a Google badge and link. While there are already plugins for it https://wordpress.org/plugins/add-as-preferred-source/ you could just manually place the badge somewhere on your website and set the link.
Here’s how it can be done -> https://herpaperroute.com/google-preferred-source-badge-on-your-website/ There are 2 steps -> https://prnt.sc/XCSUz7AxhCtJ So you could use a single image element from the composer and set the link on it -> https://prnt.sc/vlPqrCr0s15U And that’s it. It’s very simple to set up.
Thank you!
That option never worked with our theme.
If you want to use a read more button the only way is to use a plugin. Out of the two plugins you mentioned above, only one exists anymore. Isn’t it working with the theme perhaps?
Thank you!
I don’t quite know of a plugin that provides a FAQ block that can be connected to the Yoast schema and can be used with the classic editor. The Yoast FAQ schema should be used with the Yoast FAQ block.
Since you use the classic editor you need a plugin which you can add in the content via a shortcode. What about this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/faq-schema-ultimate/ It will provide it’s own schema.
Or you can create your own schema manually and add it in the post, there’s a guide here https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-faq-schema-in-wordpress/#faqschema-jsonld But you’ll need something else for creating the block.
Maybe a plugin that does them both is better. You could try the one I suggested.
Thank you!
Hi,
Maybe it would be best if I could see the issue happening. From screenshots I may not find the cause. Is this currently happening on the website?
I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website. Then I can check the grid, let me know what fonts or font settings you want to use and its not working. Also if the other issue with the strange characters is happening somewhere, let me know where.
Since Newspaper 11 when we added major features for woocommerce, there were only minor improvements for combability, also a few useful minor features were added in the matter. In my opinion that can hardly be called focusing. Every update also contains fixes.
And please consider that almost all the features we added in the past were features that our users and out potential users requested. We have to keep in mind what users are looking for in the theme, that’s the main selling point is it not? New purchases and support extensions help us continue developing the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please do not post admin usernames and passwords in the topics. The topics are public and everyone can see them. If you want to send us access to the website please send it by email at contact@tagdiv.com
Installing a theme demos takes a few minutes. I see you already installed the demo you mentioned, on your website. Please let me know if I can help with something else.
Thank you!
From what I see it’s working fine on your website. I checked 10 posts with the debugger and it’s always working -> https://prnt.sc/LAP8tQwypJK7 The website is using the Newspaper theme.
@Münchenreporter
Unfortunately I can’t fix the errors. And I see it’s working on your website now -> https://prnt.sc/vt0yUnu9LglX I tested 10 posts and all of them worked. The website is using the Newspaper theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check the mobile theme guide carefully -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ Pages behave in a special way when the mobile theme is active.
The settings for the mobile theme are in the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
When the mobile theme is active each page requires adding content in a mobile editor. So if you edit a page normally in the backend -> https://prnt.sc/0qqKUP1JHP2J and you scroll down, there should be a mobile editor section -> https://prnt.sc/MERKIYr-4iM5 That’s the content the page will display on mobile.
The purpose of the mobile theme is performance. That’s why it has it’s own homepage, post template, category template, header, footer, etc. and it’s own section for adding page content. If it would just display the desktop content then it would have no purpose.
And as a note, the mobile theme is an optional plugin. Sometimes with some decent caching and optimization you can simply not use it and use the responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
I will help as much as I can.
1. For this issue it will be faster if I can investigate directly on the website. There’s probably an issue with the header. Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with a link to the website, admin login, and a link to this topic.
2. The matter with that sidebar limitation has a long history. First, after getting a lot of requests (and I mean a lot) over the years to remove it, we decided to finally remove it. After we removed it, we started receiving a lot of requests to add it back. So we decided to make it optional, it can be enabled/disabled in the theme panel here -> https://prnt.sc/GLKqtqvWaczV Please enable it if you were using it.
Let me know after sending the email so I can check as soon as possible.
Thank you!
My colleague Calin is on vacation. I will help as well. Please let’s continue by email.
Thank you!
