Hi,

In that case I can adjust the columns. I’ll need a way to log into the website, because it looks like I am blocked https://prnt.sc/DVhIP_nPJJT1 Please send admin access by email and I will adjust the columns.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could use a ready made image section from the cloud library. Like this one https://cloud.tagdiv.com/gallery-images-nature-love/? it’s a simple section, and you can duplicate it if you need more images.

Import in your page -> https://prnt.sc/sXu4qKw6aFnq -> https://prnt.sc/KdN2kmFKm3C-
Then replace the images and set the custom links you want -> https://prnt.sc/xUbIJ2K_PYa5
Also disable the modal image -> https://prnt.sc/H8IHakxyN5Wo

That’s it basically. Replacing the images and the links can be done easily.

Or are you looking for something different perhaps?

Thank you!

Hi,

I’ve checked but I can’t seem to find any emails from you. I searched for your email, for a link to this topic, for your license key, for your website’s URL. There is nothing. Maybe it ended up in the spam folder, although I check there daily before deleting the spam, maybe I missed however. Please send a new email, include a link to this topic in it, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/modal-menu-issue/ Then let me know in this topic after sending it, so I can look for the email and check the issue.

Thank you!

That’s usually the case, plugin conflicts. If the conflict was only with the theme activation and demo import, after doing those you can activate the plugin back.

I see you imported a demo already. Let me know if you need help customizing it. I’ll provide instructions and screenshots.

Thank you!

Hi,

Maybe we could update the font list with more fonts. So far we haven’t had any requests however. I’ll add this to our list.

The theme supports up to 5 custom fonts, you could download both those those fonts and upload them in the theme panel in woff format -> https://prnt.sc/pCDV1zvKWBXc Then they will appear as usable fonts in both the theme panel and in the composer and you can use them on the website.

It remains to be seen if we can provide a kind of integration with the new wordpress font library. The fonts used on the website should be controlled through the theme, not set in the backend with wordpress.

Thank you!

I have replied by email, sorry for the delay.

Did you maybe disable the other wordpress thumb sizes somehow? But I don’t think that’s the case if it worked before and now it’s not. Does it let you select other image sizes if you switch to a different theme as a quick test? Because it seems to work fine on my side.

If you want I can take a look as well. You can send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website. I will investigate the problem.

Thank you!

Hi,

I will take a look at it, it’s faster this way. Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass) and I will investigate the issue as soon as possible.

As a note, this is an issue with the composer usually caused by something from the header or the page, or depending on the case. The only problem is not being able to use the composer, it’s in no way affecting the Google indexing. If there’s also a problem with that, please note that these are unrelated.

Thank you!

The pages must have names, they are regular pages after all. The feature is called mobile page. If you set the same name for the mobile page as the desktop page, then it will have a “-2” at the end, that’s how wordpress treats duplicates. You can all it anything you want however, the page itself is not meant to be accessed directly anywhere on the website.

The URL isn’t changing desktop vs mobile. So this page https://glostv.com/estados has the same URL on desktop https://prnt.sc/-1vo-VhmDr3J and on mobile https://prnt.sc/zsWdJWIKnyxJ The theme just displays the content from the mobile page, it’s not actually switching the pages and the URLs. It switches the content from the desktop page with the content from the mobile page, the URL remains the same.

If this https://glostv.com/estados-2 is the mobile version of this https://glostv.com/estados I’m not sure why you are using a mobile page, they look exactly the same. Or maybe it’s just as an example.

At this time from what I know there aren’t plans to change how the mobile pages and templates work. Many of our users use these and there are no issues with them to fix.

Thank you!

I have an idea, so I can provide better support.

Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your website and admin login (user and pass). Then mention the page you are working on and what exactly you want to delete/remove. Then I can try the same and see what’s happening and why. It will be faster this way. Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately I can’t see the website because it’s in maintenance mode.

Maybe the theme plugins aren’t active. Please make sure that these plugins are active https://prnt.sc/-F1hS2jJiMVp Without the theme plugins the website will not display correctly.

But in case that is not the cause of the problem, I will take a look the the website. I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass) for the website. I will check as soon as possible. But in the meantime I suggest checking if the theme plugins are active.

Thank you!

Hi,

Maybe they restricted it to the classic editor. If I check with the classic editor https://prnt.sc/uBC7Z4VpBuKI the option is there https://prnt.sc/EtjjOaNuAMKz

With the block editor it’s missing, but you could use the available size setting after you add the image -> https://prnt.sc/QpEPxfjiCrmU

Or is the problem you are having different? Could you provide an example?

Thank you!

I’m trying my best but unfortunately I don’t quite understand what you mean.

I see you added a widget there. And you want to remove the the upper rows but when you remove them there are problems. Could you provide a link to that page? I can check it with the browser inspector to see what those rows contain exactly.

Thank you!

Hi,

There’s probably an error. Sometimes due to factors that we cannot control, like plugin conflicts, server configuration, even incomplete SSL, the theme activation may fail.

In the theme activation page, if you open the browser inspector console like so
https://prnt.sc/tU2BurB9iEuN -> https://prnt.sc/X58bCVtaznQs
And then enter key/email and press the activate button, are there any errors there?

I can take a look as well. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass). I will check as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Hi,

I see you’ve been using the theme for many years. Were there issues like this before? We should at least consider that something else might be causing the issues.

I will take a look at it as well. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website (admin user and pass). Please mention in the email how you identified the excessive usage of admin-ajax requests as the cause, so we can continue from there. Also please clarify what lots of news articles on the page means exactly, so we can check that as well.

For bot traffic you can use any general wordpress recommendations. Using Cloudflare is very good, it provides a bot fight mode feature https://developers.cloudflare.com/bots/get-started/bot-fight-mode/ Wordfence is also good to have. These two should be enough, or at least they are for most cases.

Thank you!

Normally we recommend using theme demos https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/newspaper-prebuilt-websites/?demo-type=all Usually everyone finds a demo that they like. There are plenty of demos for a blog website.

Also, all the pages, blocks, sections, etc. from all the demos are available separately in the cloud library https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/All So if you like parts from multiple demos, you can import them separately.

Or you can keep using the custom templates if you want, but they won’t work in the composer unfortunately. Customizing them will have to be done in their code, same as they were created.

Thank you!

Hi,

Not sure what you are doing there exactly. Are you setting the mobile page as the homepage for the website? Why exactly are you doing that?

The way it works is like this. You have a desktop page which is used as the homepage. You create a mobile page for it, which is basically a regular page.

When you set the mobile page for the desktop page, the theme displays the content from that mobile page on mobile. Nothing else has to be done. The URLs are not changing. The theme doesn’t actually load that mobile page in the browser via it’s link, it uses the content from it. I don’t think this is a mess, it’s quite easy to use.

Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

Thank you!

I replied two days ago by email, and a few minutes ago again. The problem is more complicated that it seemed. Please check in the email you sent us for updates.

Hi,

It might have been something temporary. I see you installed the theme eventually and imported a theme demo on your website. Let me know if I can help with something else.

Hi,

I would like to ask what’s the purpose of adding a class on the title? If maybe it’s for design purposes, you could just target the titles in the post pages like this

.single-post .entry-title {}

No need for adding a new class just for targeting the titles in post pages. Or is it required for something else perhaps?

The module single base file isn’t customizable in the child theme unfortunately. it’s a code theme file, not a template. Modifying it directly will work, but it negates the purpose of the child theme. Maybe there are other better ways to do what you want. Could you explain the purpose of adding the class and using a child theme overall? I will try to help with what I can.

Thank you!

Hi,

I suggest changing the excerpt type to letters instead of words -> https://prnt.sc/IYK4Jj6wfk2U It will work better in this case.

Of course, if maybe you are using custom/manual excerpts -> https://prnt.sc/aU53Jz0CnGcm then the setting will have no effect. Custom excerpts are displayed exactly as you enter them.

Thank you!

Hi,

So I add an image in the post content and set the new wordpress lightbox https://prnt.sc/qcHwbPtpVBdq

The theme global lightbox option is disabled https://prnt.sc/HnQcXxOdJsHE

In the post page I click on the image, it opens the wordpress lightbox https://prnt.sc/zTbWqHPmctjc The theme lightbox isn’t behind it.

If the same image however also has the theme lightbox enabled for it specifically https://prnt.sc/HNhPwI-Yw7jD then there will indeed be two lightboxes on top of each other.

Could you provide a link to where I can see this happening? If the theme lightbox class is on the link that contains the image, then it means the theme lightbox is enabled for it.

Thank you!

Hi,

On my end they weren’t working even with a default wordpress theme. I eventually started looking online until I found this topic https://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-revisions-do-not-appear-after-updating-wordpress-core-to-7-0/

In my case I had the wordpress custom fields enabled in the block editor https://prnt.sc/e4z7BSMLYBiv and that was preventing the visual revisions from working.

But these new revisions are indeed not working with the theme. We’ll see what we can do about it.

Thank you!

Hi,

That’s how the grids and blocks display the posts. The latest posts are displayed from left to right.

If you want the latest post to be displayed in the middle, then instead of the big grid you are using you could use 3 separate blocks https://prnt.sc/iJvCMv5Ic12l

That way you can control the post displayed in the middle block and the blocks on the sides.
The middle block will display the latest post.
The block on the left should have an offset of 1, so it skips the latest post https://prnt.sc/M014nWS4ik50
And the block on the right should have an offset of 3, so it skips the latest post and the 2 posts already displayed in the left block https://prnt.sc/gKCucn9VIrTz

You could also check the blocks and sections from the cloud library
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Sections
If you find something you like there you can import it in the page and use it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

That’s fine, you can use the template you like. If you want to edit the post template and make modifications to it, you can use the composer. Let me know if you need help with it.
