Hi,

For the dropcaps please check this topic, there are some suggestions there
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-list-number-color/

Quotes can also be colored as you make them
https://www.screencast.com/t/y4sB7txT0mIJ
Or all at once with a code, like this for example should work
https://www.screencast.com/t/Q4BVx2dNXhv

.td-post-content blockquote p {
color: yellow;
}

Custom CSS code can be entered in the theme panel, more abut it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

The theme offers a total of 5 stars for the reviews. There are three review options, stars, percentages and points. A preview of all in these posts

Hi,

@Edward
They work in the footer now, but fixing them in the sub-footer seems to have been overlooked. Sorry for this, and note that it will be fixed for the sub-footer as well.

Thanks

Hi,

The tagDiv composer can be used on pages, and as of update 8.8 can be used to create post templates with the Cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can place in a post template anything you want that is available in the tagDiv composer.
Only blocks and a few other elements can be placed as widgets, not all of them.

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see there are no more errors on the website and the theme is updated
http://prntscr.com/k1jk03
After you update the theme check if the tagDiv composer has been updated automatically, in some cases it fails. Update the composer and all the plugins manually if that happens. There should be no problem.

In regards of the mobile theme, note that there could be problems with that caching plugin. We recommend the WP Super Cache, this works properly with the mobile theme plugin. Also as a side note, the mobile theme is optional, so you could simply not use it

Hi,

Not all the block modules have a read more button, there is a list of them in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-category-label-on-big-grid-slider/
The button is displayed automatically, the excerpt text can be customized as you want. So you could use blocks from that list. Or modify the module codes and add the button
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/adding-read-more-to-block-4/
Module files can be modified in the child theme as well.

Thanks

Hi,

Authors have the capabilities to create and publish new posts, there is no restriction for the post content for authors. I would suggest if possible that you try with a default WordPress theme. The theme does not change the user role capabilities. Check if the embedded maps show up in a post created by an author the same way.

Also be sure to check who is authorized to use these embeds or if there are any restrictions set for the key
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key#key-restrictions

Hi,

@crazydiver
Don’t know, I did not get a chance to take a look. Maybe agoesck31 solved the problem.

Hi,

The sidebar set there will be displayed in the homepage if you use the default WordPress blog page, as well as on posts.
That is the first setting the theme will look for a sidebar for the posts.

Next in order is the sidebar you set for the primary category of the post
https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
All the posts will have a primary category, by default the first one alphabetically. Or you can set one manually. The sidebar set for the primary category will be inherited by the posts.

Next in line and the highest priority setting regarding sidebars is the per post sidebar
https://www.screencast.com/t/71rglN3AZh
This setting will override the others and display the sidebar you set.

Maybe this is helpful for you to set the sidebar you want for your posts. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Indeed, the theme works with and displays at the moment only the default WordPress comments. Thank you for taking the time and posting this solution, it may be helpful for other users.
This will be considered by our team and at some point be available in the theme as an alternative.

Thanks

Hi,

As of theme version 8.8, the tagDiv composer can be used to create post templates, category templates etc, not only pages
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-8-8-update-what-s-new/
With these two plugins (composer and cloud library) you can import predefined templates (more will be added) modify them if needed, or create your own (with blank templates).

Note that these are for designing templates, not to built actual, individual posts.

Hi,

@wizimatic
You could wrap the code in a div with a custom class, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/BR1BkgCP1TC
Then refer to that class and style the date as you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/AeY3jqDq9fo8

I can’t provide a timeline in the matter unfortunately, it is on the list however and it will be examined by our team at some point. Sorry again for this.

Maybe something like this. Use the row layout I mentioned previously. Set a background color of your choosing for the row and stretch it
https://www.screencast.com/t/K8rfiT6BwF9o
https://www.screencast.com/t/Oq82diGbvK
Set a background color for the middle column
https://www.screencast.com/t/lyuJQ75JeP1Z
Then enter your content in a text element or what you want to use there. The result would be similar to that example you provided

Hi,

There will be more flex blocks added in the future, but I can’t say whether they will have such pagination. I will add this as a suggestion for them however.

Only through the Cloud library plugin you can add a new template (import or create)
https://www.screencast.com/t/ggPk8sjK7s
This plugin is in beta state, we will try to improve it’s functionality and also add more templates in the future.

It is true that featured videos can only be actually played in the post page. In pages you can embed single videos or playlists, or use dedicated video elements like the video playlist or even button elements (with video popup).

Where exactly do you want to add the widgets? Maybe it could be possible by editing the theme page templates and adding the widget there. But this way if you want to make modifications to it you will have to edit the code.
Also, content in pages is meant to be added with the page builder, adding it in other ways may cause problems either with the layout or maybe with the functionality.

For social sharing and general SEO we recommend the Yoast SEO plugin. Install and activate the Open Graph data
https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
For Twitter you can set up cards, more about that here
https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-twitter-cards-in-wordpress/
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/setting-up-twitter-cards-in-wordpress-seo/
https://yoast.com/twitter-cards/

For the feed the theme does not have any actual settings, also there were’t many tests conducted. The theme and theme blocks/grids and other elements are designed to work with and display self published content, not import and display external content.

Hi,

We recommend PHP versions up to 7.2 if possible. Be sure to review the theme requirements properly
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Also in some cases server firewall or security modules are denying the theme to access admin-ajax, causing this kind of problems. Similar topic here

Hi,

I will help you if you have further questions, ask them here. The guide epickenyan mentioned along with the block settings guide would provide a basic knowledge of the composer

Hi,

What exactly is not working between the plugins and the theme? Please provide some more details about the incompatibilities you found.

Thanks

Simion C.

Hi,

The theme has a primary category setting, this is explained here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
So for example if you were to set a background color for a category, in the theme panel, then all the posts that have it as primary will inherit that background. This would be an easy way to control multiple posts at once.

Hi,

Enter the shortcode in a text element (not inline text), like this example for a contact form
https://www.screencast.com/t/SA0G6t7iXwY

Be sure to save the page and view it after placing the shortcode

If it’s not there then the version you are using does not have the option. Remove the search by hiding it with CSS or in the code. With CSS it would depend on the theme version you are using, the code has changed over updates. A similar topic here

Hi,

So you want to have a full width layout. A general width setting does not exist, you can stretch rows or use full width grids. There are full width elements to be placed in pages, like grids
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/ (10 types of full width grids)
Rows in pages can be stretched – https://www.screencast.com/t/LjPxJ1iLIIz
Header and Footer elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/HgtsNIs1
There are also multi-purpose elements in the tagDiv composer, you could check them out.

Hi,

Then you can modify the code like this, to include ordered lists as well

.td-post-content ul li,
.td-page-content ul li,
.td-post-content ol li,
.td-page-content ol li {
margin-bottom: 30px;
}

Viewing 25 posts - 8,301 through 8,325 (of 20,681 total)
