Hi,

My mistake, somehow I haven’t seen that both websites are running 10.4. Sorry about that. I thought I checked the website and saw the latest theme version being used, but it actually isn’t.

The new system may have been added exactly in 10.4, I can’t recall exactly unfortunately. But I think there were some problems with it, and it was modified again in version 11. But it may work in that older version.

Could you provide access to the main website via email? Our email address is contact@tagdiv.com If possible please send us an email with admin login for the website, and I will take a closer look. Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

That seems to be related to flex block 1, and mainly this field from the block settings where the size for the review stars is set https://i.imgur.com/j0KWGZU.png

Maybe there was an invalid value set there somehow, in the homepage or where flex block 1 was used throughout the website. Normally there is a numeric value there, if something else is entered there it could be a problem. Perhaps that is the case here.

If you want we will take a look at this, we can check the website if you can provide access to it via email, and to a file manager so we can add the line of code again. Let us know.

Thank you!

Hi,

That can have multiple causes. The easiest way for us to identify the problem and fix it is if we can check the problem directly on the website. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login, we will take a look as soon as possible.

Hi,

It could be done in the composer, or you could use some CSS, for example like this
https://i.imgur.com/JxSu1gb.png
The code is here https://pastebin.com/bFJgchKS Give it a try, it can be entered in the theme panel custom CSS section. Let me know if the result is how you want it.

Hi,

I don’t think that using HTML in the article title is even supposed to work unfortunately. Usually it’s not used there. I am surprised that it works in the post page. In the modules it doesn’t however.

Maybe it can be done, but I believe it won’t be an easy thing to do if it is possible, and will require modifications in the theme, probably where the article title is fetched.

You could maybe use apostrophes around the word https://i.imgur.com/1CNuczs.png although it isn’t the same, but it will work.

Hi,

The attribute filter is an element from the composer, which displays the attributes you use for your products. The theme features for woocommerce are provided through the shop plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-shop/

Like this for example, these are the attributes for the products I have https://i.imgur.com/d3PHp4N.png
And the attribute filter displays them https://i.imgur.com/Q8ODERF.png
It has a few settings as well, like choosing the style/type of the selection, and also if you want to allow multiple selections.

If you want to get more familiarized with the theme and woocommerce integration, you could create a testing website, and install a shop demo with content. Then check out the templates and what they contain and how they are built.

Let me know if you have more questions. I will try to help.

Hi,

There will be a new theme update released in the following weeks. It is a relatively big update containing new features, demos, also some fixed and improvements/optimization.

As for PHP8 the theme is compatible with it. There are plenty of theme users using PHP8 with the theme for a while now. In case you encounter a problem please let us know, but there should be no problems

Thank you!

Hi,

AMP is very restrictive when it comes to the ads and to the content. What type of ads are you planning to use on AMP exactly? Are they compatible with AMP?

The most popular and widely used type of ads used for AMP are AMP auto ads from Google https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9261309?hl=en
We provide a field for entering the code https://i.imgur.com/2kAsROP.png

Also the mobile theme ad spots will load ads on mobile or mobile + AMP https://i.imgur.com/YEkMJ6N.png

But for any type of other ads, with other requirements perhaps, maybe it is possible to add them via ad inserter plugins or similar. Or perhaps it will require modifications to the code, it depends.

Could you mention a few details about the type of ads you want to use? Also, if their provider has documentation for implementing them on AMP, please provide that as well so I can take a look.

Thank you!

Hi,

The sub-footer, just as the footer, can be customized with the composer. You can add padding and margins for everything, if you want to create more space https://i.imgur.com/B9jKuxR.png

There are also empty space elements you can add for more space https://i.imgur.com/kEy01bS.png

There are multiple ways of designing the footer and sub-footer with the composer. Our example footers use all kinds of designs https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Footers

If you want us to help with the design you are looking to achieve, it will be easier and faster if we can see the website and provide assistance directly on it. I suggest sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. Also mention how you want the sub-footer to look exactly. We will help.

Hi,

There is a delay indeed, the menu loads when the website fully loads. And the website loads in about 7 seconds https://i.imgur.com/dqGHg1Z.png

There are various errors, including a 404 for an image, I would suggest dealing with that first. A simple 404 error can delay the loading of the website a lot.

The 404 seems to be for an image, this one https://i.imgur.com/UjLuTYH.png
It is preloaded in the header, but it doesn’t exist https://www.reisverhalen.info/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/20200321320f757d-aa1f-6338-f08f-010c10616507.jpg?ezimgfmt=ng%3Awebp%2Fngcb5

I think it is set in the footer somewhere https://i.imgur.com/ZEGMV8r.png
I suggest editing the footer with the composer, and checking every row in it, to see if there is a background image set for one for them https://i.imgur.com/3z00siB.png The option to remove should be there if there is an image set, remove it or replace it. Once that is done, clear the cache and check if the website loads faster. Let me know.

Hi,

@security

So the exchange widget is not working for you as well? I will take a look at it, please also send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login.

@phani
Were the problems you were facing solved? I see a discussion by email from a week ago, but the conclusion is not clear. Let me know.

Hi,

I have seen such issues before, usually they are caused by various security or firewall settings from plugins or from the hosting provider. Or perhaps by plugin conflicts, or even insufficient space in the database.

We can take a look to see what we find in this case, I suggest sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and there please provide a link to the website and admin login. Also we may need cPanel access depending on where the investigation leads.

Hi,

The Newsmag theme has a limit in the code for the number of subcategories that can be displayed in a mega-menu, unfortunately. The first 5 subcategories are displayed only. I believe this is intended for design purposes, as having multiple subcategories there may not look good perhaps.

If you want to display more than 5 subcategories, I could try and provide a solution, to modify the limit where it is in the code, so that you can set the number you want. This would be the only way. Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

The parent theme isn’t actually deactivated when activating a child theme, or else nothing would work anymore. The child theme will appear as active in the WordPress themes panel, but in fact both the parent theme and the child theme are active.

If you want to use a child theme, simply activate it and use it for the intended purpose. Don’t worry, the parent theme is also active. Please try it.

Hi,

There is a protection on the forum, entering various codes in the topic isn’t allowed unfortunately. There were some cases when such codes caused problems with the whole forum, that is the purpose of using this protection. You can provide code via pastebin if needed https://pastebin.com/ and provide the link so we can see it.

Analytics codes usually have to be loaded in the header, between the head tags. The analytics field from the theme panel (header script code) will load any code entered there as required. To know for sure you can check in the page source. If the code is loaded, and the code is correct, there should be no problem.

Have you maybe tried this troubleshooter they provide?
-> https://support.google.com/analytics/troubleshooter/7400465?hl=en I suggest trying it after entering the code on the website, and clearing all caching, to see if a problem is detected.

Hi,

The composer provides options to remove elements per device/viewport.

So if you want in this case to not display the respective menu on these 3 viewports https://i.imgur.com/GuxSnWG.png you can click on the horizontal menu in the composer, and switch to the viewports one at a time, and hiding it.
The option is in the CSS tab at the bottom https://i.imgur.com/xjows44.png

So basically select the desktop viewport and hide the element, then the tablet viewports and hide the element for them as well. As a result it will remain visible only on mobile.

If you need help with it, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website, so we can do it and explain more how it is done.

Thank you!

Hi,

That should be possible. Are you using a cloud header template or a standard header template? Please provide a link to the website if possible, so I can check the header.

Thank you!

Hi,

On large websites with lots of content and high traffic most themes will struggle. In a way it is expected, a traffic spike for example can cause problems for the duration. Deactivating the composer is practically deactivating the theme, the composer is the theme basically.

To try and see if there is an improvement in the matter, I suggest reducing or removing temporarily the number of ajax pagination used.
For example https://i.imgur.com/ImkD7Qz.png Or replace that block with a post loop element and use numbered pagination.
Or here in the post page https://i.imgur.com/DTBWoxi.png Or anywhere else where ajax pagination is used. Try it as a test if possible.

Also maybe consider using either the cloud library plugin, or the standard pack plugin. Use one or the other, and deactivate the one you are not using. This is why we separated the theme options in 2 plugins, to try and improve the performance, assuming only one of them is used.

Cleaning the database periodically/regularly if possible does wonders as well. There are plugins that can be do this on a schedule even, like this one I believe https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-database-cleaner/

Also if possible, and you haven’t already, I suggest using PHP 8. There should be quite a difference in performance between for example PHP 7.4 and 8.

Our developer team have improved the composer drastically since it was introduced a few years ago. Maybe not every update contains improvements, but the next in line surely will. They will try to optimize it further.

Thank you!

Hi,

Basically any such plugin should work fine, I haven’t encountered a GDPR plugin that causes problems or conflicts, so far.
The one we suggest there is this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-gdpr-compliance/ But you can try others if you want to, before making a decision. Any such plugin will most likely work properly.

Thank you!

Hi,

That is most likely not coming from the theme, unless maybe code was entered in the theme panel or in the theme files.

I checked the website you mention, without an adblocker to see if such an ad or whatever that is appears, but I don’t see it anywhere at this time https://i.imgur.com/mjJ6JRS.png

Does it still appear? And where exactly does it appear in the website? Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

If there was a mobile page set for the desktop page, then that would explain why modifications made to the desktop page weren’t affecting the mobile page. The mobile page has to be modified as well.

But if you removed the mobile page https://i.imgur.com/ZlrHtRx.png then the changes should be visible at all times, since it is the same page on desktop and mobile.

I suggest sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and there please provide a link to the website and admin login. Also mention in the email an example of a change you are making on the page and it is not applying properly. It will be faster this way, if we can check the problem directly on the website. Let me know.

Hi,

Actually there is no newer content in the Instagram account to tell if it’s working and synchronizing on the dev website. Maybe it works or maybe it doesn’t. If the account is connected in the theme panel it should work.

After our developer team had to make modifications in the theme in order for Instagram to continue to work, the solution that was found is the current one, a business account must be connected in the theme panel. The theme will then have authorization to access the account and get the content. The images from the account are kept in the media library on the website, so they are displayed from there, not having to keep making multiple requests to Instagram. On the dev website those images will remain displayed there indefinitely if there’s no newer content, even if the whole system doesn’t work.

But in older theme versions this system was not yet implemented I believe, like the version you are using on the main website. That tries to function using the older system, and that will most likely not work anymore. There were also other fixed and updates in the matter in more recent theme updates -> https://i.imgur.com/SkYmw33.png

The only solution to display Instagram content in the live website using the theme Instagram widget, is to update the theme. Or if that is not possible for various reasons, you could try some Instagram feed plugins. They also mostly work with connecting accounts and will work fine probably.

Let me know.

Thank you!

Hi,

We are aware of that issue, it is already fixed and will work fine from the next theme update. In the meantime, you could set the desired template for the woocomemrce categories from the theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/LtqJvts.png
Sorry for this inconvenience. Please try this other method for the time being.
