Hi,
Try deactivating or removing the analytics plugin that you have installed and check again, because this it could affect the functionality of the website. If this is the case maybe you have not configured the plugin correctly, or it simply is not compatible with the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry for misunderstanding, only one version of each plugins is provided with the theme, meaning the latest. You can check by downloading the full theme package from themeforest.
Thanks
Hi,
Usually we recommend the developers from https://studio.envato.com/ so you could browse the available offers there. We wish you the best of luck in customizing the theme and favorable results.
Thanks
Hi,
To disable the comment count on blocks/modules you have to go in Theme panel->Block settings – https://www.screencast.com/t/AZnuG22Q and disable them there.
Thanks
Hi,
This could also be caused by the hosting server you are using, if it does not meet even the minimum theme requirements as specified here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Try to contact your host and see if this is the case, and ask them to make the needed modifications. These errors could also be seen in the server error log.
We are aware that the Visual composer editor is getting bigger with each update, and becoming heavy in resource usage. But if the server meets these requirements, and a clean install is made, using only the plugins provided with the theme, everything should work properly. Please let us know how it goes.
Thanks
Hi,
1. In order to make the next/prev posts from the single post page display only posts in the same category, you would have to modify the theme code, because there is no option available for this at the moment. Here is where the code is defined – https://www.screencast.com/t/JyuBk2lop if you have the proper coding skills to make the modifications. But please note that this could prove to be a difficult task, so I suggest hiring a developer/freelancer to help you achieve this, because we can not provide custom work at the moment, sorry.
2. The popular category block should order the categories by post count, with the most popular displayed first. Check to see if there have been any modifications to the file responsible with the sorting – https://www.screencast.com/t/yxBHg20P5 This could also be caused by a child theme used, or by a plugin. If you can try to deactivate the child theme and all the plugins except Visual composer, then clear the cache and see if the problem is still there.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
You can use the slider element from Visual composer for your page – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ios-slider/ Here you can see what image sizes this element is using – https://www.screencast.com/t/iRJ2o7q3Fs or you could use a Big grid slide – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/
Please note that it would not be an easy task to modify the slider to a custom size, and it would require taking into account multiple changes to the elements and classes that are used.
Another option would be to use the Revolution slider provided with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/ Here is a link to the official documentation – https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
Thanks
Hi,
Also here is a guide to help speed up your site – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and use the resources mentioned there to improve page speed.
Thanks
Hi,
That message is simply an indication about how to add a sidebar on your page, using the widgetised sidebar element. If you choose a latest articles template the sidebar settings will be available for that section. More about the available page templates here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Regarding the update notice, that could appear if you had an old Visual composer version before the update. Please provide a screenshot if possible of the notice and where it is occurring.
Thanks
Hi,
If you disabled the featured images in the theme panel like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/o46CPH9H then it should not display them in all the single post page anymore. Maybe it is a cache issue, try to clear it and check again. If you still have this problem it would be helpful if you could provide a link to your website pointing to the problem, so we can inspect it.
Thanks
Hi,
You could do that using this custom code to make the social icons bigger, just enter it in Theme panel->Custom Css
.td-footer-wrapper
.td-social-style-2
.td-icon-font {
font-size: 20px;
}
With this result – https://www.screencast.com/t/MYE2omccuag
Also there are some options available in the theme panel to change the color and hover on these social icons – https://www.screencast.com/t/D2kEjyxZC
Thanks
Hi,
The theme does not have this implementation, to show different ads based on category page or by post. Maybe you can achieve this using a plugin. Some of our users use the AdRotate plugin to manage their ads and it seems to work properly, you could give that a try and see if it suits your needs.
Thanks
Hi,
You can use this guide to help you with the Visual composer plugin update – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ The developers try their best to provide the latest plugin updates when available, as soon as possible.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide more details about this, because I do not understand exactly what you want to modify about the module post title and the post comments.
Thanks
Hi,
Try this modified code, it should work properly now on every page
.td-header-style-5 .td-main-menu-logo {
margin-left: 18%;
}
.td-header-wrap.td-header-style-5 {
width:100%;
position: absolute;
left: 0;
}
.td-header-menu-wrap-full {
height: 60px!important;
}
.td-header-menu-wrap.td-affix {
width: 100%!important;
}
You can also modify the margin left set on the logo, if you want to position the menu differently.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately that feature is not available in the version of Visual composer that comes bundled with the theme. You can always preview your website using the browser inspector tool responsive options – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/ like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/SIjUYeiaNKt or you could search for a plugin if you want to have this option.
Thanks
Hi,
In order to make the custom link work properly, you must disable the modal image feature on the image you want. More about this feature here in the documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-window/ So you must go to the image settings in your post and disable the modal feature – https://www.screencast.com/t/J0qPqGxC – https://www.screencast.com/t/2stmw4jPn
Thanks
Hi,
You can customize the settings for each of the blocks on your page, simply edit the page you want and you will see the blocks that create your page structure and make modifications to them – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZkDgESTCF and the ajax dropdown menu that you want – https://www.screencast.com/t/Eqlk9meeaXJ You can find more information about the available block settings here in the documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks
Hi,
Please check the category filter settings and sort order on the block, you can use this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ and also check the unique articles on page feature – https://www.screencast.com/t/FAtfNaGLQIZa it is recommended not to use this because it could interfere with blocks that have pagination. Please try to disable this, set a latest sort order for your posts in the block settings and see if the problem is still there. If you can not manage to resolve this issue you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with admin login information. Please also paste a link to this topic.
Thanks
Hi,
I have tested this on my end – https://www.screencast.com/t/cODZ8vVfV and the twitter link displays works properly – https://www.screencast.com/t/lzk4aEFKoed – https://www.screencast.com/t/JGuY8sN2lPu
Maybe you have a plugin that is somehow interfering in this process, I suggest disabling all the plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache and try again and enter the link in the twitter field and see if it is saved accordingly, not just the username.
Thanks
Hi,
Normally those should not be lost after the update process but it would be a good idea to try and save them as a backup, just to be sure. Here is a guide to help you with the update – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ whether you choose to make through wordpress or by FTP.
Thanks
Hi,
You can use a widgetised side bar element on your pages like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/m7OtI9kVKwc in which you can select a sidebar from your available ones – https://www.screencast.com/t/z4HhTQmMSbyr or a split row sidebar like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/9O0Bcu6Qf A sidebar can also be set on the latest articles if you are using the latest articles page template – https://www.screencast.com/t/2j84wChXPFQV
Thanks
Hi,
This is where the related articles are being defined in the theme folder->includes->shortcodes – https://www.screencast.com/t/MbZtIJAg if you want to modify the theme’s default related articles block. Please note that this could prove to be a difficult task, so if you are not aware of the required steps in this regard, I suggest hiring a freelancer/developer to help you, because we can not provide custom work at the moment, sorry.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
You can try this code for the color below the header menu, just enter it in Theme panel->Custom css and change the color to what you want to use
.td-magazine .td-header-style-1
.td-header-gradient::before {
background-color: red;
}
And this one for the top menu border if you want
.td-magazine .td-header-style-1
.td-header-top-menu-full {
border-top-color: red;
}
This is the result with both custom codes inserted – https://www.screencast.com/t/m9tdZpn9W
Thanks
Hi,
I suggest disabling all the plugins (including the minification plugin) except the ones bundled with the theme to rule out any interference with the theme functionality. There should be no problems if you are using only there plugins. Also check any modifications you might have made to the theme files and disable the child theme if you use it. If the notice is still there you should do a fresh theme install and use only the plugins provided with the theme and check if the problem is solved. Then enable your plugins one at a time to most likely find the one responsible.
Thanks
