Hi,

Maybe WordPress will fix it in an update so that Facebook video links will work again same as before when embedded. Until then it seems that videos embedded by links will be displayed as links.
From what I can find, links that were used previous to the changes they made, will still work where they are set. But new ones will not. We will monitor how the situation develops, to see if we need to make changes on our side in the theme, but that shouldn’t be the case however.

Hi,

The menu or the whole header? The whole header is possible when you edit the page with the composer – http://prntscr.com/nprim1
Just the menu it would be possible if you use a cloud header template
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
These can be modified/created with the tagDiv composer. So for example while the rest of the website uses a header template, in the page you want you can use a cloud header template without a menu in it. If you import one, remove the menu element from it
http://prntscr.com/nprlej
If you decide to build one from blank, simply don’t place a header menu element in it
http://prntscr.com/nprme8http://prntscr.com/nprmjb

In case you don’t want to use a cloud header template, and only wish to simply remove the menu from a specific page, it could be done with CSS. Post a link to this page and I will create a code for it.

Let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

That code is not quite complete, the closing div tag is missing from what I can see
http://prntscr.com/nprhhz
Maybe that is what is causing the problem.

Hi,

Installing a new demo will uninstall the one you have now. The settings you have in the theme panel now will be replaced by the settings in the new demo. Everything related to the previous demo will be removed and replaced by the new demo.

You could for example create a testing install on a sub-domain if possible, or locally, with a copy of the current website. There are plugins that can duplicate the website, or clone it (like the duplicator plugin). Then install the new demo there first, to see the results. This would be better than trying it on the live website, it is worth considering

Sorry for misunderstanding. We could take a closer look at the issue you are having, as it is not happening for us in our tests. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, we will create a test page to see how the full grids and flex grids are displaying in your case. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

From what I can see the website uses a logo image. The logo image will be the h1 in pages, unless you use the page template with title
https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Then the page title will be the h1 – http://prntscr.com/nppx8o

Where exactly would you like to add the text you mention? In a predefined post template it’s not quite possible. You could use header styles 9, 10 or 11 which can display a text logo, but then the image logo won’t be displayed.

In a cloud header template you can add anything available in the composer however
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
Displaying an image logo and a text logo is possible in a cloud post template.

Hi,

The trending now (news ticker) is available in the tagDiv composer, it can be placed in pages and cloud templates – http://prntscr.com/npplho
All you have to do in order to place it, in a page for example, is to edit the page with the tagDiv composer and place the news ticker in it, in the location you want.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

This error can appear in some cases – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

Are you seeing it in pages? Also does it appear even for new pages, or just for some pages? because it may be caused by editing pages that contain elements that were not added through the tagDiv composer, pages built with a different builder for example.

If the error appears even for new pages, then it could be caused by a plugin, it has happened before in some cases. To see if that is the case, deactivate as a quick test all non-theme plugins, and try again.

However in case you already tried these suggestions and the problem remains, we could take a closer look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, cPanel will also be helpful if possible. We will investigate, let us know.

Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

Depends on the role the user has in WordPress. If the user is an editor or above, he has access to all the posts and pages, including editing them
https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilitieshttp://prntscr.com/npp6w3

The theme will respect the default user roles and capabilities available in WordPress. These user roles could be customized if this is required, but not by a theme setting. You could try some plugins that can do it.

Hi,

When a new category is added, in the theme panel all the settings (template, top grid, module used) will be on default and inherit from the general settings
http://prntscr.com/npp2xb
So you could use the general category options to control all the new categories at once. If for one of them you want something different you can do so in the per category settings, but by default all the new ones will use what is set in the general settings
http://prntscr.com/npp3xl

Thanks

Hi,

1. As a sharing option for posts blogger is not available at the moment. I believe it is noted on our suggestion list. Maybe you could use a sharing plugin that can add a blogger share option. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2. So you would like the play store in the social counter, what values should it display? Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

That is not correct, you can activate the theme for testing and for the live website. It is mentioned in the theme activation guide – https://tagdiv.com/how-to-activate-the-newspaper-theme/

So you can activate the theme where you use it now, and the cloud library will be unlocked. There will be no problem.

If you have more questions let us know.

Hi,

3. I believe you are referring to the effect when hovering the grid in the homepage
http://prntscr.com/npogzx
That is possible in category page grids as well, in the theme panel category settings. You just have to select the “Lightsky” effect – http://prntscr.com/npoi1l

– From what I can see that form is added by the ESSB plugin, maybe you could check the plugin documentation to see if it has the options you need.

If you have ore questions let us know.
Thanks

Maybe I am misunderstanding something. Modules will use the same thumbnail size across all browsers. Unless retina thumbnails are enabled, then these will be displayed when needed (retina devices).

So the module 1 (from block 3) will load the 324×160 thumbnail size on Chrome
http://prntscr.com/npo1p6
And on Firefox – http://prntscr.com/npo22p
This can be checked with the browser inspector. From what I can see the block display just fine on both Chrome and Firefox, and I can’t see any issues with the thumbnails of block 3 in the website at this moment, or previously.

No, those will not be lost when updating the theme. All the theme panel settings, ad codes, custom code, are saved in the database. Here is an update guide
https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
As always it is recommended to make a back-up before updating. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

All the thumbnails the theme created are cropped – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
A center top crop was considered to be the best solution overall. Using flex grids you could use a larger thumbnail and orientate the focus on the image
http://prntscr.com/npnppu
Maybe you can achieve the result you want like this. The way the theme crops the images to create thumbnails can’t be changed by a theme setting. It is done automatically. Let me know if you have more questions.

The logo element has a width setting – https://www.screencast.com/t/JFp1OgvL maybe you could use that.

If that doesn’t help, some screenshots with the header would be helpful, so I can see what is happening.

Hi,

The top structure of those recipe posts is created just for demo purposes. A related topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/food-blog/
You could use the same as in the demo, but maybe it would be easier and faster to use a dedicated recipe plugin.

The lost below it is an arrow list in the demo post
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/lists/ an arrow list can be created from an ordered or ordered list – http://prntscr.com/npcv1a
The size of the arrows could be changed but not by a setting. Try a code like this in the theme panel custom CSS section – http://prntscr.com/npcwko (modify the size as needed)

.td-post-content .td-arrow-list li:before {
font-size: 10px;
}

The big numbers are dropcaps – http://prntscr.com/npcx3u it depends on what you want to modify about them. They could be done with some CSS as well
https://tagdiv.com/how-to-create-custom-code-in-newspaper-theme/

Hi,

I believe you are referring to these settings – http://prntscr.com/npcj5g
If that is the case, please re-download the theme from themeforest and install it. Then deactivate the mobile theme plugin and delete it, and install it again from here
http://prntscr.com/npcjz5

After doing so the settings should appear. There was an issue previously but it is fixed now. Let me know if the problem remains, or if you have a different problem.

Hi,

@richgiangnx
That is not possible unfortunately, the sharing is available only for posts. If this is required you could use a sharing plugin that will appear in pages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

It will not, if the mobile theme plugin is active. If the mobile theme plugin is active, what is displayed on mobile will be different from desktop. For example the mobile homepage will display a top grid with 3 featured posts (if there are any)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Below that grid will be a latest articles section. The mobile theme is specially created for mobiles, it is faster than the default responsive theme version. Other pages will be empty on mobile, if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for each page
http://prntscr.com/ng341f

Here you can read more about it – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

The plugin is optional, so if you would like to display the same content from desktop on mobile, you could deactivate it.

Hi,

@manojchak
I have tested the website with the mobile friendly tool, everything seems to be in order
http://prntscr.com/npbxag
The mobile theme is active, so such problems should not happen. The mobile plugin is created specially for mobile, with increased performance in mind. It can also be used with the AMP plugin if you want to – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Hi,

I see the problem in the screenshots you provided, the post titles and meta are not in the proper position.

But I checked the website, from what I can see the grid looks alright now
http://prntscr.com/npbn0e
Maybe you fixed the issue already. Let me know if I misunderstand something.

Thanks

Hi,

Something is quite wrong there, the HTML is not right. Did you by any chance make modifications to the post template files? What if you set a different sidebar with a simple element in it like a block widget for example, for a post as a test, does the same happen then?

If you already tried this and the problem remains, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access so we can take a closer look.

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see it is working properly, for example a link such as the one below redirects properly to how it is supposed to be using the mobile theme + AMP
https://riansclub.com/evolution-of-cellphone-battery-technology/amp
So basically all /amp URLs should now be redirected to /?amp. I also checked with the tester and AMP is valid – http://prntscr.com/npb9bl

Thanks
