Hi Catalin
The only reason they are displaying now is because I had to disable a plugin ‘WP Bakery’
The only thing is when is disabled that plugin a load of page styling issue weren’t working for example; flip box effect, hover boxes, accordion styling.
Basically a load of styling effects that WK Bakery did that your own theme styling doesn’t.
What’s the workaround – do you have a solution please?
Best.
Mike
Web home images not working: https://prnt.sc/nksvpv – https://prnt.sc/nkswuq
Images not showing in post: https://prnt.sc/nksvza
TD Composer broke: https://prnt.sc/nkswfs
WPBakery Page Builder version: 5.7
I´m deseperate, I cant do anything in my web: https://www.gamingcoffee.com/ (im with a maintenance mode because of this)
Anyone can do anything?
After the update to 9.7.2 I complete all the indicated steps, in the home screen, the rest of the pages and in the individual notes the thumbs are not displayed. And in any of the blocks you can see the thumbnails.
The pages are designed with the WPBakery Page Builder.
What solution is there for this?
Hi,
There is a known issue currently with single image elements used in pages built with WPBakery, when the tagDiv composer is also active. It has been identified however and will be fixed in the next theme update. Sorry for this inconvenience.
I can provide you with the fix for the time being – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/single-image-widget-settings/
If there are other issues as well, please post a link to the website so I can inspect it. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
The Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugin is not part of our team, also the WPBakery Page Builder plugin is and Bundled Plugin in our theme not a standalone plugin ( you do not need a licence to use the version that comes with our theme ), please check the envato documentation for those plugins
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins
Thank you!
Hi,
Please notice that writing multiple times in the same topic only delays the answer. In order to get a fast response, please write once and wait for an answer. We answer from oldest to newest so if you keep posting, your post is moved to fresher ones thus receiving the answer later until we answer all posts before your last reply.
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.
Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Also for the 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
You’ll need to add some posts in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured
Let me know if you have more questions!
Hi,
Sorry for the delay, there are many topics currently, and also taking into account the previous days off. We try to reply as soon as possible.
From what I can see there are indeed different, edit screen vs result. What page builder were the pages built with? Also if possible post some links to a page where this happens so I can inspect it.
If they are built entirely with the tagDiv composer and they contain only elements that are provided in it, then they should display properly at all times. If on the other hand they were built with WPBakery and then edited with our composer, there could be problems.
You can also send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and allow us admin access, provide links to these pages so we can investigate. Let us know.
Thanks
The tagDiv composer plugin is now even more required than before, but the theme can still be used without it. However it will be limited quite severely. For example without the composer there will be just one post template – http://prntscr.com/njstyc
This happens because after the 9.7 update many theme files were moved in the composer plugin, without it being active the files will not load.
If you relied on WPBakery to build the website, and there are problems after updating, maybe you should consider using the previous theme version (9.6.1) before this changes were made, for the time being. That version can be downloaded from here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/
We will try to eliminate conflicts that may happen between our composer and WPBakery, in coming updates. You could attempt the update at a later time. Also maybe consider creating a testing copy of the website on a sub-domain for example, and update there to see what happens. This would be a safer way.
Hi,
I just updated to V9.7.2. This messed up the images on my site. Thumbnails are missing and image sizes are completely blown out of proportion. This happened before and I was able to fix it by switching off the tag div composer (we have been using wp bakery page builder for ever and it seemed like both of them together did not work.)
So if I have to have tag div composer activated, I do not know how to fix this problem. This is rather urgent as the site looks horrible as it is now.
Thank you very much,
kind regards,
Mira
Hi,
have just updated to V 9.7.2.
The only thing I can not update is the Advanced Custom Field Pro Plugin. I am not aware of having purchased this plugin, thus I don’t have a licence key for it. Does it come with the theme and do I have to update it manually like the WPBakery Page Builder?
I don’t see the updated version in the downloaded files for the theme update.
Thank you very much,
kind regards,
Mira
Hi,
What builder did you use to build the page? From what I can see the single image elements don’t display properly, it may happen if you used WPBakery. This is a known issue and will be fixed, it happens when both the composer and WPBakery plugins are active.
A fix is provided in this topic, for the time being
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/single-image-widget-settings/
Sorry for this inconvenience. Please try and check if the single image elements display correctly.
Also be sure to update WPBakery to the latest version
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Let me know.
Thanks
I failed to see there are issues with the single images. Single image elements placed in pages with WPBakery may display and function incorrectly, when both the tagDiv composer and WPBakery are active. This is known and will be fixed in the next theme update. A fix is provided in this topic, for the time being
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/single-image-widget-settings/
Sorry for this inconvenience. Let me know if you have more questions.
Hi Simon Thank you for the update. We will check if this is a plubing compitability issue. However, shouldn’t it be better to announce this update after you hve fixed those issues? I believe many people still using WP Bakery and we have to recreate most of the pages overcome the problem. At least, it is in my case.
2- Yes, I also thought the same. Mobile + Amp is active
3- Great! no problem with that.
Hi,
No need to activate the WPBakery and Revolution slider plugins, bundled plugins don’t need a license or activation code.
An article about it here – https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins?_ga=2.148850615.1240581804.1556603480-1715937315.1492175355
Simply install the plugins and use them, ignore the activation messages that may appear.
When there will be updates for the theme we will include the latest version of the bundled plugins at the time – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/

Thanks for the response Simeon, I use Newspaper 9 and have relied on the awesomeness of the block builder in the Virtual Composer. It appears it was a conflict between the editor and the Events calendar plugin
I have built a citizen journalism newspaper site, a budding platform of sorts, especially in the entertainment and local arts
I have been using Advanced Post Manager for their 11 pre set templates, especially the video option to replace Feature Pic and WP Edit Pro for advanced WYSIWYG functionality.
This has worked well for some years…now Gutenberg got thrown in…needless to say it is disabled.
I installed TagDiv Composer and it killed my WYSYWIG set up and broke the WPBakery layouts, so I deleted it.
I need to understand do I need those 2 plugins? Does Visual Composer have those extra WYSIWYG capabilities?
I’m trying to stay composed but site has been plaaying up
After an update to Newspaper 9.7 in April 2019, we lost content, then activated TagDiv composer, which restored everything. Shortly afterward, we lost jpeg images on android mobile – iPhone mobile, PC and iMac images are intact. There is a pending update to WP Bakery which our former web developer told us never to update. Could that be the problem? Any ideas on how to restore android mobile jpeg images? Thanks!

Hi,
I suppose that you have automatically updated the theme via Envato Market plugin, right? In our latest update, all of the required plugins will come offline and you need to manually enable them from the Theme panel because this is the main mandatory requirements imposed by Envato Market Policy.
The Newspaper theme update brings a change for the customers that use WP Bakery Page Builder with our Theme. When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7.2 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used. Otherwise, you will have basic WordPress functionality, complying with Envato WordPress Requirements – https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements
Please note that activating the tagDiv Composer doesn’t mean that you are required to use our custom page builder on your website. You can use the WP Bakery page builder as you did before the update.
We recommended you to do not use the tagDiv Composer and WP Bakery page builders on the same page, because you cannot edit with WP Baker blocks and shortcodes created with tagDiv Composer or vice-versa.
Please make a backup for your website before updating. If you need help, please don’t hesitate to send us an email with all the details at contact@tagdiv.com.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
1. We are aware of this issue, it will be fixed. If the setting is made in a page built with WPBakery it will not work, it will work if the page is built with the tagDiv composer. This also has options to hide specific rows/columns/elements per device.
There are some other issues which may happen when both composers are active, they will all be fixed as soon as possible. This will happen by theme updates.
2. This is most unusual, the homepage uses the mobile theme while the rest of the website appears to not use it. If the mobile theme is active the whole website should use it, depends on this setting however – http://prntscr.com/nio8v8 (first two will present the mobile theme at all times, while the last only for AMP).
Such issues could happen due to caching plugins or maybe minification/compression or optimization plugins. Try if possible and if you use such plugins, to deactivate them temporarily and check if this solves it.
3. The AMP URL will be with /?amp, this should be valid when testing. Seems to be valid when I test a post – http://prntscr.com/nioalr
Thanks
Still useless, it doesn’t matter, I decided to give up WPBakery.Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you for your question. The Newsmag theme update brings a change for the customers that use WP Bakery Page Builder with our Theme:
When you’ll be updating to the Newsmag 4.8 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newsmag theme functionality you’ve previously used.

Hi Calin,
Thank you for your reply.
yes, the tagdiv composer is activated http://prntscr.com/nilgdp and the theme is running on Version: 9.7.1
We just wanted to use the WPBakery instead of tagDiv composer. How can we do that? It currently appears like this http://prntscr.com/nilhg2
Thanks!
