Sorry but we have not tested any other page builder apart from the tagdiv composer and wpbakery page builder. I cannot say for sure if the divi builder will work with our theme or not. Sorry

You will have to create a new page with the tagDiv composer or with the WPBakery page builder, and set it as homepage. Simply installing the theme will not change the homepage

Is the page built with a page builder or is it built with the default wordpress editor?
If it’s built with the WordPress editor the sidebar the can be set like this

If it’s built with the tagDiv composer or WPBakery, the sidebar is either a widget sidebar

Or defined in the page content itself, by adding elements directly in the column

Hi There, TD Composer or WP Bakery Page Builder doesn’t get work.
Deactivated, deleted and reinstalled both of them but every time when I try to create a new page or try to edit, get a white blank page shown.
Checked the server settings (mentioned @Simion C.) and they’re all fine and also I had before no issue with these modules.
(In the page creation section at the bottom I can’t see any info as well from Bakery modules, but can see its installed)

NOT: No help on firefox, still the same and adding to .htaccess file:

Now, this gets on the page creation field the modules bakery and “tagdiv” composer but if I click on live edit with “tagdiv”, after loading gets me a white page with no loading or spinning.

Plea note that you can not use the both builders on the same page, if your website was build with WPBakery, that pages can be edit only with WPBakery not with tagDiv Composer

I deactivated the tagDiv Composer plugin and now works (i dont need the tagDiv – i use WPBakery).

The “homepage latest articles” setting on the page does not appear. I’ve already tried using Classic Editor, Gutenberg, WP Bakery Builder and TAGDIV Composer.
I’m also using Newsmag Version 4.2 in another project and it works perfectly. Could you send me that version to try, please?

I have recently updated the Newspaper theme with the latest version 9. The previous version of the website was built with WPBakery and after trying to use the new TagDiv Composer i haven’t been able to make it work properly (slow, cannot delete rows etc.) I read the instructions on how to setup PHP.ini and Htacess (default values) and still it doesn’t work. After disabling TagDiv Composer i was able to get the homepage running like it used to be and decided not to use TagDiv Composer for now.
Could you help me with activating TagDiv Composer?
Secondly, I’m not able to visually edit tables like i used to before the update. What seems to be the problem? If you need the credentials to access the website and cpanel please let me know how could i send you this information.

It was an issue with an older theme version, when the page was built with WPBakery. But this shouldn’t happen anymore in the latest theme and WPBakery.

How do I know if we have the latest version of Newsmag and, thus, the latest version of the plugin? is it possible to write page or post-wide (not site-wide) custom css in the tagdiv composer,
like in wp bakery page builder?
i see there only site-wide custom css button in the footer of composer

It is the same for me. That is a WPBakery element, maybe that is how it was designed to be by the plugin author. Could be a reason for it. I tested with a default theme and the same options are displayed.
As for modifications in the WPBakery plugin, I really can’t say how or where they could be done and not cause problems with the plugin.

thanks for the response, we have everything upto date,
1) php version is 7.2
2) we were using WPBakery only
3) we have default blog mode added in our homepage and we just used few block, still it consumes too much memory
4) we default page counter
5) Simple mega menu
6) I don’t know how to do that XLMRPC

What exactly is happening when you try to edit the page? Are you using the latest WordPress and theme, and theme plugins?
Note that the demo homepages and pages are all built with the tagDiv composer, they should only be edited with it. There could be problems if you use WPBakery to edit them, they could be damaged.

We used to have the spike issue and was related to
a) older version of PHP (e.g., 5x)
b) using WPBakery vs TD Composer
c) too many different modules on each page (too many queries)
d) running page counter plugin at same time as built in page counter (double overhead)
e) super complex mega menus with too many queries
f) not ‘security hardening’ the site — meaning, you need to disable stuff like XLMRPC if possible, use ‘limit login attempts’ and follow the security tutorial I did — as XMLRPC hits happen every day probing site for attack vectors and this also causes large system use. (Seriously – XMLRPC should be off unless you’re running personal blog.)

If you don’t use the tagDiv composer, please deactivate it. It will be activated automatically when the theme is updated.
So for example if you use WPBakery to build the pages, the tagDiv composer when active can interfere with some elements and cause them to not function correctly.
Having both the tagDiv composer and WPBakery active could cause design problems. We recommend to use one or the other.
Also if pages built with the tagDiv composer are edited with WPBakery or the other way around, the pages may be damaged. Maybe that is what happened.
From what I can see the header logo is there but invisible due to it being transparent on a white background, with a background color it will be visible – http://prntscr.com/m4cqsn
The Instagram section is displaying unusually, maybe try and remove it then set it again. The icon boxes descriptions all seem to be in white color, so they are invisible

There are two page builders provided with the theme, the tagDiv composer which is the main page builder and we recommend using it to build pages and cloud templates, and the WPBakery page builder (former Visual composer)

To have access to the cloud library templates, the cloud library plugin has to be active

The revolution slider is included in the theme package, you can use it fully and there is no need to activate it in any way (bundled version). Please ignore/close the activation messages coming from the plugin.
There are demo sliders made by us in the package which can be imported, but you can create your own sliders as well

The WPBakery, mobile theme and revolution slider plugins are present in the theme plugins panel but can’t be installed from there, only manually.

I have copied all the plugins from the uncompress zip file plugins folder, I have activated all the plugins ( I can see only a plugin called WPBakery Page Builder which I did not activate, because I am not sure if it is related to the theme or not), in the slider plugin I can see it asking for the purchasing code to activate it, and it did not accept the code from the newspaper theme, and I do not know if this is an issue or not.
From theme level, plugin tab I see that the slider plugin, mobile theme, and the visual composer are not active, and I do not know how to solve this, can you please help?

WPBakery Visual Composer is just a composer ( is optional if you want to use it ), you can use the TagDiv Composer this one is made spacial for our theme.
In order to update it you need to have the last version of the theme fill all files from themeforest, after that in plugins you’ll see the js_composer, you’ll need to deactivate and delete the old version and install the new one ( the new version of plugin ).
