Sorry but the category is implemented differently if you remove the top post, your latest 3 posts will be missing from the category page. There is no simple way of removing it as it;s tied to the post loop, not a separate block like the one on the front page.

Unfortunately our theme does not have such an option. Our blocks were designed to show posts not categories. Even if you redirect the link to a category, you will not be able to add the post on the top of the category as there is no detect created for the theme to know which post you came from. If you really require this customization we suggest hiring a freelancer/developer to do it as we cannot offer any custom work at the moment.

Well to my knowledge you cannot have both a static page and a blog page at the same time. WordPress does not allow it: http://screencast.com/t/creXLxUD I;m not sure of your previous theme;s implementation but not all theme s share the same options and features. In our theme you can use visual composer and add your preferred elements on your homepage and setlect what posts get shown on the page using the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
If you want to customize categories, you cannot do it in visual composer. Visual composer does not have any options for category pages. you can customize a category page from the per category settings in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/EWAL2uhz
You can choose the category template, the grid view and how the posts will display.

Please contact your hosting provider and ask to unblock functions.php. It seems the anti-virus or firewall on your host is blocking the file. there is nothing we can do about that. Only your provider can unblock the file
What hosting are you using so we can narrow this down to a provider as we do have multiple reports of this.

We have reports of this happening because of some server settings and virus scans that detect the file as a potential threat. Please contact your host and let him know about this and make him unblock the file from the server side. There is no threat in the file but maybe there is a piece of code detected as a false positive.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to add a gradient to all blocks. It was added on the grids as the post title is over the image and if your images are too bright the title will not be shown, but it’s not needed if the text is under the image. Our theme has no setting to add the gradient. If you still want it, you can use this css code in the theme panel->custom css box:
