Unfortunately we have not tested any RSS plugins so we cannot say for sure what they can or cannot do. What I can say is what the theme can do. Our theme was built with creating content in mind. Not pulling from external sources. So there is no theme option that can do this. For the post template, we do not have that sort of layout to provide. You can try to use visual composer on posts by activating it from post settings but this is not tested so it could provide mixed results. Try using blocks on posts or adding the layout directly in the post files by using the do_shortcode funtion: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/
You can search through this forum for do_shortcode if you do not know how to use it as we provided solutions with it quite a few times. You use visual composer shortcodes inside the function and then add it in the post template files.

If you want to filter your block to show posts from another category, you can do that from block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ Unfortuantely there is no way of changing one section at a time. All of the big grid is a whole and you cannot change individual sections to show different categories.

So, I guess that here is talking about the Front End Editor option. Unfortunately, our theme does not work fine with Frontend editor and our developers have decided to exclude it from the theme. You can enable the Visual Composer frontend editor by removing this code from theme’s functions – http://screencast.com/t/1N4LB7WhP2jR but unfortunately, will not work properly if you have tag div blocks on the page. Also, please keep in mind that our theme does not have such an option for landing page and it is not supported, sorry!

How can I prevent the Featured Posts that appear in the Big Grid from repeating in category Blocks automatically but then reappear in Blocks once those Featured articles are pushed out of the Grid?
I realize that I can filter out the Featured Posts wherever they repeat in the Blocks themselves by entering a negative value for the Category ID, but that prevents the Featured Posts from ever displaying in the Category Block on homepage. Also can filter by Post ID and block out each individual article one at a time but that requires me to manually allow then disallow each article every time.
Is there any blanket way to make the articles not show in blocks when featured in grid, and then when not featured in grid, display in the category blocks below the grid again automatically?
Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I am trying to reduce the number of various thumbnails and you have a nice options to disable some sizes. However for me, as an end user – I have no idea what sizes / blocks are used on my website. Is there any kind of “detector” to tell me what blocks are activated? Otherwise it is impossible to find out without hours spend on documentation…

On the MainStRock.com homepage, the Big Grid 3 sort order is set to “Random”. However it is the same posts that appear over and over again. It is not doing a random rotation. I am having the same issue with all of the “Block” elements.

Thanks for building nice theme but I have thumbs issue with it. We create and upload feature image of size 700 x 366 because we have to share post on facebook page to generate traffic and 700 x 366 is suitable for us.
Is there any way to disable image cropping so that all blocks & module use 700 x 366 size or any code to show whole image 700 x 366.

The modules used on category pages are not like the blocks on a page. They do not have block settings. Only he module style can be chosen from the theme panel but there are no other settings for them. If you want to have a boxed layout it is enough to set a background image or color from the theme panel. Once an image or color is set as a background, the site will go into boxed mode. As for the borders, our theme does not have any border option for these elements. Blocks can have borders from block settings but category modules can’t

The word news block is simply a block title you can change from the page edit screen and block settings
As for the theme panel, you can remove some demos from there by altering the theme files. You can find the code for these elements here: http://screencast.com/t/2SlRUMC7JK If you want to remove an element from the demo install menu, you can simply delete it from the file like the code I highlighted. Be mindful of the commas and parentheses though.

and it works very well.

As you know our blocks were been made using several modules. Please notice that from Visual Composer you cannot add modules but only Blocks which contain some modules. Please check your Theme panel->Block Settings->Category Tag on Modules/Blocks, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Zfl5VmzgV and there you will see what modules were been included in blocks.

after nearly one year, the time has come, where I have to decide if I update from Newspaper 5 to Newspaper 7 or just get out of this whole thing.
Just a few points about the past:
– I just had my site three months running with a lot of work from my programmer, when the big update came to version 7. As it would have been again lots of programming work, we decided not to update.
– You, the programmers of this theme, promised me and others, that there will be security updates and we could use version 5 further on. There was no security update, no help when Visual Composer had to be updated because of security problems and now the final point is reached with the need to update to WordPress 4.5.
When we looked into the version 7 on a test server, we found out that many things have changed. Also some small things, that will cost a lot of time to fix. So why did you change the numbering of existing blocks and modules? Now everything is shown in a wrong way, even if the blocks and modules still exist to select (but with another number). Why did you change the font and deleted the old font? Lots of things we don’t understand. And on top of it all, we still don’t understand, why such a big update was needed, as WordPress didn’t change much. Could you please tell us?
So as you are building up your own pagebuilder, the next big problem seems to be around the corner. When will it be implemented instead of Visual Composer? Maybe you can understand that I can’t afford to pay for the work of my programmer every year to get right what you changed. And I also can’t spend time every year to implement the changes on existing pages and archives.
So you would help me a lot, if you could say something definite on your further plans!

Hello everyone. I am a new user of this theme, and wow… amazing.
I just have one simple question, and I’ve been looking for the answer for several hours fruitlessly.
In the theme panel:
/ theme fonts / modules and blocks – article title.
It lists 19 modules. I am trying to figure out what a module is… so that I know which module is affected by the font change. When I’m in the visual composer, and I add an element, there’s a bunch of things I can add, but none of them are modules, they are blocks 1-25, and a bunch of named elements.
I’ve found a reference on this site somewhere that a block is a combination of modules. Where the heck do I create blocks from modules, or see a list of modules so I know which one I’m tinkering with?

Do your refer to the infinite scroll for post pagination instead of normal pagination? Unfortunately, our theme has not been designed to use this type of pagination for post pages, but only for categories and blocks as you can see in our documentation. If you want to have this type of pagination, please notice that this should be implemented in the theme using some additional customizations that involve custom work or you can try using some plugins with this functionality and see how it will work for you. So, if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
