Before I added Google Ads, my pagespeed was incredibly close to 90+, flunctuating between 85-90 then on Mobile was just a measly 65-75
Not too bad for now. How did I accomplish it.
1. Bulk Optimize your images with EWWW Image optimizer.
2. Use the regenerate thumbnail plugin to regenerate your thumbnails so that they can fit properly in the blocks.
CSS Minification made easy.
3. Go to GTMetrix and Analyse your URL.
4. You should see a Minify CSS followed by a percentage. Click on it to see more of the recommendation.
5. You will see your theme’s style.css in my case it was /…/Newspaper/style.css?ver=6.6
6. Click on see optimized version. It will open in a new tab with your CSS minified.
7. You select all ( Ctrl+A) and Copy (ctrl+C) then go to your theme editor (ie Appearance> Editor) in WordPress. then your style.css, you select all again and Paste (Ctrl+V).
That is it!.
This is just my way of giving back to everyone here that finds time to answer my silly questions and help me out in their little ways. Tagdiv support team, you guys rock, and Chris S as well.

All you need to do to achieve what you mean, for posts, is to copy the link of YouTube and paste it in your Article editor in WordPress, like this: http://screencast.com/t/oEHQ4jpph and the result you should see here: http://screencast.com/t/v4WnQwquGGRC and if you want to display this playlist on your page, you should use a Visual Composer-> Text Block on your page, like this: http://screencast.com/t/h1zWJfmN8m and the result you should see here: http://screencast.com/t/JWtylAXjV76V
If you want to do a playlist, it is necessary to use Video playlist from Visual Composer and insert all the links which you want to have in your play list, like this: http://screencast.com/t/BUeugIK3 .

At the moment there is no plan on making the mega-menu accept woocommerce products or categories. This involves adding custom post type support to our modules and blocks. Maybe in a future update we will be able to implement it but at the moment and in the near future we have no such plan.

Hello,
The primary category is used only for breadcrumbs and the category thumbnail that shows on the featured image. Unfortunately it does not affect modules and blocks. If multiple categories are set to a particular post, it will display in every block that has one of the post categories specified. So if you set 3 categories to a post and set one as primary, the post will still appear in all 3 blocks if you have them specified with one category each. If you enable unique articles, then the post will display in the first of the blocks and then it will be hidden for the others.
example:
I have one post with 3 categories and 3 blocks each with one of the categories:
without unique articles: http://screencast.com/t/bwAii3V9 no matter the primary category, the post will always show on all 3 blocks because they are filtered by latest articles and this post is the latest one.
with unique articles: http://screencast.com/t/xmIJYvecKz the post only shows up in the first block and then gets hidden by the unique articles function and does not show up on other blocks.
Bottom line: primary category does not affect modules and blocks. The post will display everywhere one of it’s categories is specified.

Unfortunately, our theme has not been designed to populate all four sections of the grid with the newest post from four different categories. The algorithm of sorting posts in big grid is by latest articles from your category. If you set some 4 different categories, the Big Grid will display you the ultimate/latest posts in your categories per total, not individual for each category. Big grid is a single complex structure and will display the latest post per total not only by categories. I hope you understand how this works. If you want to make to function the Big Grid what you want, it is necessary to make some customization in core file and also are required custom work.
To display more levels you need custom modifications and I suggest to hire a freelancer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!
Another possibility for you, would be to use this scheme in Visual Composer, to achieve what you want: Big slide + Block 3 (set the limit post number to 1) + Block 15 (set the limit post number to 2), like this: http://screencast.com/t/cgx5O3HTl – http://screencast.com/t/eJsutCef0Dx – http://screencast.com/t/4U2drugHSjR3 After, then you can set each block to a different category, as well.

I have checked your website on gmetrix and google and it seems there is still work to be done. You can use speedbooster to move more render blocks to the footer by following the method here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and to optimize images as you get a notice about those to. You can use wp-smush https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/
Unfortunately we can only offer suggestions. It is still you who is going to have to make the modifications necessary. For every problem highlighted by gmetrix or google, there is a how to button next to it. Please use it to get an idea on how it can be done. Also use google to find lots and lots of pagespeed insights online. More than we can ever offer.

I cannot say for sure as i do not know how you have your homepage set up. Every block has pagination if you set it like so. The block pagination can be removed from block settings: http://screencast.com/t/zmf2yxRKagq
The other type of pagination you might have is the latest articles pagination. You will need to set your posts to display from certain categories or filter them by id so you control which posts display in this section: http://screencast.com/t/OjbsThdKrL
I assume you have it on default which is filtered by all categories and latest posts so pagination will go as far as it needs to display all the posts. You need to change your settings to remove the pagination. Set it to only display a page of posts and it will not have pagination.

We have a client who’s experiencing performance issues. They’re using a fairly standard layout so not realy using Visual Composer at all. However, I thought I read somewhere that your theme (maybe it was just the content blocks) was built off of VC or highly integrated with VC?
We just want to know if we can turn that plugin off to see if it helps with performance, or if we’re going to end up breaking the theme.

I create post and put 2-3 categories for created post, then I put one category as a “primary category”. On my homepage I have different blocks and each block is reffered to exact category. I switched on “Unique articles” on my homepage. The problem is that posts marked with “primary category” doesn’t appear in exact category blocks. How can I solve that problem?

We are currently using version 2.3 of Newsmag, and we are encountering a challenge that your team may have some insight of how to solve this.
We are using the sticky menu option, and we added another sticky <div> underneath the sticky menu.
Because of having the 2nd sticky div, the smart-sidebar isn’t working properly. It looks cut-off.
After a quick investigation, we found that by changing the value of td_affix_menu_computed_height = 100 at Line 4429 will solve the issue.
We have created a child theme for CSS and modules and blocks alteration. However, is there a way to override a javascript function at tagdiv_theme.js in our child theme? We do not wish to make modification / changes to tagdiv_theme.js – because we would like to keep upgrading the theme whenever there is new upgrade of the theme.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is perfect. and just Gave me what I wanted. For people that will use this directive. When you hide block_4 as directed, it will hide all the block_4 on your block. So advice: Use a block that you only want to hide and specify it for this task.

we can exclude categories from showing up in an article’s category list using the following option on the categories option in the theme panel.
“HIDE CATEGORY ON POST AND ON CATEGORY PAGES” -> true
However posts falling in these categories continue to show on the breadcrumbs.
Is there a way (and also a permanent fix in a future update) so if a category is used for block building purposes – that is we want to hide it from the available categories – to also be excluded in the breadcrumbs and instead show any other category the post belong to at the breadcrumbs?

Post X has categories “navigational, Sports”
where “navigational” is not to be shown
now if we hide with “HIDE CATEGORY ON POST AND ON CATEGORY PAGES” -> true, at the breadcrumbs it will show

So how can we have breadcrumbs with categories that are not created for navigational purposes?
