Hi,

I just updated the theme to the latest version. I use the view counter with caching and the view counters work, but the polpular 7 days post sorting still doesn’t work. I’ve enabled it for my sidebare block 2 but it still shows old posts that haven’t been viewed in ages, but the they still appear… these are the custom fields of the post that appears as most viewed:

How do I fix this and make my sidebar really show the most viewed post from the last 7 days? I’m trying to get this to work for ages now 🙁

Hi,

I want to use the Module 7 style as a block and replace the big image slide in the home page.

Please advise if this is possible.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately the license doesn’t allow us to also distribute the manual/guide for it.
I can give you a few hints:
>> For images you can set it like this – http://screencast.com/t/X7MZeZat4
If you want full width you can sett it from the Force Full Width Option.

>> For posts you have to create a template – http://screencast.com/t/1qZgUO7vh
Edit the template slides (hit the Edit Slides button) and select New Transparent Slide – http://screencast.com/t/GsjkT3ggzpf
Edit the slide – http://screencast.com/t/KatzKNZl6j7
Add a layer – http://screencast.com/t/8WK5gdTaaa
Replace the caption text with the post title or other option and set the postion on the silder – http://screencast.com/t/htnbp0bIDWzhttp://screencast.com/t/O3IRKYoYr
Check the layer animation and other settings – http://screencast.com/t/vn7QpTznmbp
Save and create a new slider – http://screencast.com/t/FM4ObPrO
Use the shortcodes to add the newly created slides into the page – http://screencast.com/t/sXWHS3vgdO

Hi,

This is hard to do, you can look on how the “last 7 days” sort option is made, modify or duplicate it, make tests to see if it works properly and add the option o the blocks sort order section. If you don’t know how to doit you may have to hire a professional coder, you can find one on sites like http://studio.envato.com/ . Sorry for this.

You can also look for a plugin like – http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/
Note that i didn’t make any tests with this plugin, it’s just an example.

Thank you, Emil G.

Hi,

You can use the default template – http://screencast.com/t/GdQjaNFaJClAhttp://screencast.com/t/W4FIXv5BB

But this one has some limitations and depending on the other blocks it may not work properly.
You can also try to wrap the block 3 inside a span8 div like this – http://screencast.com/t/Bbl2w72cU

[vc_row]<div class="span8">[vc_column width="1/1"][td_block3 limit="5"][/vc_column]</div>[vc_column width="1/3"][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id="td-default"][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Or you can create a custom block that will display the way you want. I can send you a guide on how to do a custom block if you send an email at contact@tagdiv.com .

Thank you, Emil G.

On my homepage I have a block that shows 3 featured articles that I want readers to be drawn to.

I have then created a block below this which I want to show the latest Articles in, but I don’t want articles to show that belong to the featured category.

The problem is that my featured articles also belong to their respective categories so that when someone reads that article they will have a link to the category at the top, so they can view other articles from that category.

How do I set it up that my lastest articles do not show articles if they belong to the featured category

Hi guys,

I’m using a custom ad block to display an adsense banner on my homepage. It’s working fine, except there’s no space between the ad and the posts below. How can I add a space there?

See screenshot:

Thanks!

For many of our sites the best we’ve been able to do is to combine all the CSS into one file, and all the JS into one file, then load the JS via async, and load the CSS from the CDN/Amazon Cloud; then inline the menu stuff we had built custom into the head, along with some CSS which needs to load after Bootstrap.

In most cases you cannot fully remove all render blocking elements, only minimize them. Fix everything ELSE first and you can still get a 90+ desktop score in most cases.

I’ve only seen the render blocking fully fixed by building a minimal theme, and structuring the content specifically to address that issue – but not very pretty site.

So, best tip: fix everything ELSE you can, and don’t obsess over the render blocking stuff as most sites still have this issue due to the way Google is looking at that. They seem to base that “error” on anything which isn’t minimal like Google’s help pages.

Yoluca,

I had the same issue. Try this plugin: Async JS and CSS: Converts render-blocking CSS and JS files into NON-render-blocking, improving performance of web page

It will remove most (if not all of the render-blocking scripts).

Good Luck!

Thanks but that still isn’t working. I put that in the correct place and updated the file. The code i have is

if (empty($paged) or $paged < 2) {
echo td_page_generator::wrap_no_row_with_bg_start();
if (empty($paged) or $paged < 2) { //show this only on the first page
?>
<div class=”row-fluid”>
<div class=”span12 column_container”>
<?php
echo td_global_blocks::get_instance(‘td_slide_big’)->render(array(
‘sort’ => ‘featured’,
‘hide_title’ => ‘hide_title’,
‘force_columns’ => 3,
‘autoplay’ => ‘2’,
‘limit’ => $td_slide_limit
));
?>
</div>
</div>
<?php
}
echo td_page_generator::wrap_no_row_with_bg_end();

hi,
marius forgot to put the !important kwyword in the css rules.
put this code :

@media (max-width: 767px) {
   .td-header-menu-wrap {
       display: block !important;
   }
}

here: http://screencast.com/t/pGdM4vDgP

result: http://screencast.com/t/IVTKQfij

as the width of the site gets smaller the menu will start to be ugly.
like marius said this task require custom work. if you are not a developer please hire one for this task.

Thanks for you message.

hi,
you can create a page and the add the links in the visual composer :
http://screencast.com/t/Qfa2SAKsb2Hu

http://screencast.com/t/ybgIlEZ1f

=======

another solution is to create block who host a module:
http://screencast.com/t/oEOrA6e2ngns

you need to have php knowledge to do this.

Thanks for you message.

hi,
to achieve this you need to put all the css and all the javascript code in the source of the page like : http://screencast.com/t/j1RrYGoVy

it will make the page bigger in size but google will not complain about :Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in abo…….

however in wordpress you cannot achieve this because wordpress in his wisdom will not function without a file called style.css

Thanks for you message.

You can make this via CSS.

To hide the logo on desktop use this CSS:

.header-logo-wrap a {
    display: none;
}

To show the logo on mobile use this one:

@media (max-width: 767px) {
.header-logo-wrap a img {
    display: block;
}
}

Is it possible to have a block that I can add to a page with a specified category where only the title of the posts display (without image, excerpt date etc.) I am trying to create something similar to the following for a Destinations page so that whenever you click on there all that is listed are a hyperlinks (in alpha order for that category).

Here is a site that as something that I am looking for:

Hi,

Just to inform you. To get this simple AND-operator functionality for showing posts that are in two categories in the Widget Blocks on my website, I had to buy a premium plugin called Super Post.

Please put this feature in a next version of the theme. I find it ridiculous that this isn’t already in there.

Thank you.

Any help with this Topic?

<img width="100" height="65" itemprop="image" class="entry-thumb" src="http://www.loomee-tv.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/image_20140520T115710-100x65.jpg" alt="Interstellar Thumb" title="Erster Trailer zu "Interstellar" mit Matthew McConaughey und Anne Hathaway! [Video]"/>

The Word INTERSTELLAR inside the Title Tag should have no quotation marks! Same Problem in Blocks an Twitter-Share!
