Hi,

The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

Also for the 3 blocks, you’ll need to have set same feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4

If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.

If you do not have the featured category, you’ll need to add some posts in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured

2- is there anyblock or module available for single column too?
3 – I am not able to clearly understand from where to set modules into blocks.
(am not a technical person. Kindly share the steps in detail while answering my query)

Did you test your AMP pages work; and also test them with the AMP tools online for compliance?

AMP won’t support certain sites due to various failures or guidelines/requirements outlined on the AMP support site.

Hi again

I really love what the CSS changes above does to my blog, both on desktop and mobile. But after the last WP/theme update something has changed on the desktop; the two columns with pictures next to eachother are no longer the same size of the pictures in the text blog/width. https://www.ladiesabroad.se/2019/04/isla-holbox-mexiko.html, scroll down a bit. (At least I noticed it had changed today, and I did the updates yesterday.)

At the moment I have this CSS pasted into the Costum CSS section:
.single .wp-block-column:not(:last-child) { margin-right: 5px; } .single .wp-block-column:not(:first-child) { margin-left: 5px; } .single .wp-block-image{ margin-bottom: 8px; } .single .has-2-columns .wp-block-column{ margin-bottom: 0px; } .td-post-content p { margin-top: 26px; }

And this in the Advanced CSS -> iPhone section:
.single .wp-block-column:not(:last-child) {
margin-right: 0px;
} .single .wp-block-column:not(:first-child) {
margin-left: 0px;
}

Hello, I’ve a block (type 2) in a page that shows posts filtered by category. Is it possible to open the shown posts in a modal window or popup?
Thanks.

There is problem, I set post number but the image and summary text doesn’t showing.

What should I do for showing summary of ‘About us’ page in some template?

My ‘About us ‘ page is below

Hi Calin,

The child theme isn’t working as expected though.
I’ve used the default child-theme and added td_footer_template_1.php in the parts folder.
It seems like it’s not picking it up.
As a test, i’ve added an additional class to a div, but isn’t visible on the site

was:

<div class=”td-container”>

changed into:

<div class=”td-container another-extra-test-class”>

Can you see/tell why it’s not being overridden?
Here’s a test site i’m playing with: https://forkast.vcbwebdesign.nl

It contains the default wp installation with only the newspaper and child theme activated

Thanks

Hi,

Please notice that you can create your custom template for those pages and also, you can use the Flex Block and add the Read More button functionality, following the same functionality. Do you have tried it? Please notice that you can create a new custom template for each section you want, like Category, Attachment, Author page, etc.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have a multisite setup and on the main domain / site, everything works fine.

However on the subsite, although the theme settings seem to work fine, I can’t get any tagdiv templates to install or function.

Either the template doesn’t load at all (after importing) or if it does, as soon as I drag / drop a content block in, it displays ‘no posts’.

Any idea where I’ve done wrong?

Thanks

Laura.

Hi,

This option automatically removes duplicate posts from the page. if this is not what you need you can check our documentation for filter tab -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Hi,

You told me to to build a page with tagdiv flex block module that has the ‘Read more’option. It is ok for pages such as front page.

When a visitor clicks on a menu item that is a Post Category and not a page, the template that is loading will not have the read more button but the default archive template will be loaded.

This is the page
https://www.acharnaika-nea.gr/

This is the category archive
https://www.acharnaika-nea.gr/category/featured/

I can actually add read more button with 2 lines of php code at excerpt filter but i need to know how the theme handles this because my customer needs to handle this kind of issues.

Thanks

Hi,

The link that I provide you shows the way you can use the filter tab of blocks/grids, you can show inserting the id of post or you can exclude post using “-” before id.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

The bottom element/block of the front page of my blog doesn’t show the way it should in Microsoft edge and Firefox.

It looks completely weird, like a dropdown list on the bottom right-hand side, just before the footer.

In chrome and mobile, it shows really good though.

To notice the difference, first, go to the blog on chrome and then, see it on edge. You’ll see the difference.

Remember to go to the bottom right-hand side, just before the footer to see the issue.

Here is the blog: https://askgerireilly.com

HERE IS WHAT I MEAN: http://oi63.tinypic.com/2evs09g.jpg

Please help ASAP!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The default official AMP plugin from Automattic works great with the theme and has since day one; so that is obviously a good fallback for mission critical sites to work with AMP.

Of course no AMP plugin will fix issues within content that are pre-existing and not AMP-compatible (like inline HTML in some cases, inject javascript or other code where not supposed to be; rogue plugins, et al.).

Some sites moving away from AMP, as Google now trying to make it a “publishing platform” to monetize for showing content as an application, vs traditional web formats. For many folks, simply having mobile friendly optimized responsive site may be better choice unless very high traffic with ads non-blocked via AMP when cached on Google cloud.

For “most” bogs, AMP has no benefit for the user or site owner.

My two cents anyway; having been using it since it was in BETA and following Google’s latest zig zags with trying to get people to adopt this format for their entire sites, which is impractical and perhaps stupid to buy into a Google concept that might be abandoned at some point while traditional responsive pages will work forever.

We isolated the issue through disabling all the plugins and figured out it was Wordfence plugin causing an access block to Gutenberg editor for adding or editing posts. Setting wordfence firewall rules on Learning mode and then restoring it to Enabled and Protection mode fixed the issue. Thanks for assistance.

The theme continues to lose all the settings (images in blocks, logos, ads, etc.) practically EVERY HOUR! I’ve done the same job 3 or 4 times already. Now at least I only import the backup copy of the settings (even if I haven’t finished fixing them yet) but the users keep seeing these bugs all the time. What happens?

I have managed to change the main website font and colours though adjusting the settings, including the Blockquote formatting. However, I can’t see how to adjust this in for Mobile/AMP.

I suspect I might be able to do it with some custom text. Is the right? If so can you give an example of the code I could add to be mobile styling?

Basically, I don’t want it to be in capitals and like it grey and not a bright red.

Thanks

Hi,

If you want blank templates you can get theme from tagDiv Cloud Library -> https://www.screencast.com/t/KppVYjMliBoO or if you want to have a blank page to set blocks on it

When I use the Media & Text block in a post, the block contents are starting on the extreme left (outside my website border) and ending on extreme right, getting overlapped by my sidebar. Is there any way I can change the size of the Media & Text Block?

Catalin

Hi,

Unfortunately, please notice that does not exist any patch between 9.6 and 9.7, sorry! The theme was changed a lot and also, the root of the theme files was changed. The Newspaper theme update brings a change for the customers that use WP Bakery Page Builder with our Theme: when you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used.

Otherwise, you will have basic WordPress functionality, complying with Envato WordPress Requirements – https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements

Please note that activating the tagDiv Composer doesn’t mean that you are required to use our custom page builder on your website.
You can use the WP Bakery page builder as you did before the update
We recommended you to do not use the tagDiv Composer and WP Bakery page builders on the same page though, because you cannot edit with WP Baker blocks and shortcodes created with tagDiv Composer or vice-versa.

Please make a backup for your website before updating.

Thanks.
