Hi Calin,

The configuration of WP Super Cache is exactly as explained on https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
And I do not use any CDN.

I noticed that, if I removed “td-ht-fast-news-menu” in Extra class, then it would load faster but looks really bad (black with a standard font) before to look normal (white with the right font).

Hope they’ll find a way to solve this.

Thanks

Hello 🙂 here is the link !

More information for you: for some reason, after the last editing of the menus, the old items remained attached to the bottom of the new ones. I have already tried to recreate from scratch the menus but the problem persists. Browser cache cleaned constantly after any update.

The issue happens both on desktop and mobile on:
-Safari 13.0.3
-Firefox
-Chrome

Thanks a lot to you for your support 🙂 !

Hi,

This problem should not appear if you are using only the WP Super Cache plugin and if the CDN is configured as in our documentation, I’ll make a note for our developers to check this situation.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello – I’ve been working to improve my Google PageSpeed / GT Metrix scores and I had a couple questions on their suggestions. Here are the two reports that have been run:

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinkluggageabroad.com&tab=desktop

https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.pinkluggageabroad.com/iutRcr0C

1) Both services have advised me to optimize my images by compressing them. I’ve done that and removed the original larger files from my file library, but these images are still showing up on both reports and not improving my score. Here’s an example of an image that I optimized, deleted the original file from my file manager, emptied the trash and is still showing up on both reports: https://www.pinkluggageabroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/list-of-quirky-bars-1.jpg

2) Google PageSpeed suggests: “Consider lazy-loading offscreen and hidden images after all critical resources have finished loading to lower time to interactive”. I understand Newspaper has an option to lazy load all images, is there a way to lazy load just offscreen and hidden images?

3) Google PageSpeed for desktop suggests “Large GIFs are inefficient for delivering animated content. Consider using MPEG4/WebM videos for animations and PNG/WebP for static images instead of GIF to save network bytes”. This applies to these GIFs on my homepage https://www.screencast.com/t/n1vvrlINYN. I converted these to MPEG4 files but when I use TD composer to remove the GIF file and replace it with MPEG4, I cannot choose the MPEG4 file. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a workaround that you can suggest?

4) GT Metrix suggests “Leverage browser caching. Page load times can be significantly improved by asking visitors to save and reuse the files included in your website”. I’m currently using WP Super Cache, is there a setting that I can adjust to meet this suggestion?

5) GT Metrix suggests “2.2MiB of JavaScript is parsed during initial page load. Defer parsing JavaScript to reduce blocking of page rendering”. How would I do this?

6) GT Metrix suggests “The requests for the following URLs don’t fit in a single packet. Reducing the size of these requests could reduce latency” but when I click on those URLs, they bring me to a blank page – https://www.youtube.com/api/stats/playback?ns=yt&el=embedded&cpn=wOWKLXK0prCQLirl&docid=kO__C5pOyQo&ver=2&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fembed%2FkO__C5pOyQo%3Fautoplay%3D1%26loop%3D1%26mute%3D1%26showinfo%3D0%26controls%3D0%26start%3D2%26playlist%3DkO__C5pOyQo%26amp%3Bt%3D25s%26&cmt=0.797&ei=k1fRXc2XFIHmkgaf7I-gCA&fmt=244&fs=0&rt=0.448&of=GC6OCn1lTVgpgJyrp2hYjw&euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinkluggageabroad.com%2F&lact=15508&cl=280776138&mos=1&vm=CAEQABgEKiBKVmpsYXZfam82S0FEVWM4VUZzMThaRHE5dFpoWUdQVg&volume=100&c=WEB_EMBEDDED_PLAYER&cver=20191113&cplayer=UNIPLAYER&cbr=Chrome&cbrver=75.0.3770.100&cos=X11&autonav=1&autoplay=1&delay=4&hl=en_US&cr=US&len=110.321&fexp=23744176%2C23748146%2C23768780%2C23804281%2C23837040%2C23837772%2C23837993%2C23839361%2C23839597%2C23842630%2C23842986%2C23844999%2C23846545%2C23847168%2C23848795%2C23848871%2C23851771%2C23856652%2C23856867%2C23857013%2C23857013%2C23857493%2C23857850%2C23857850%2C23857949%2C23858319%2C23859128%2C23859212%2C23859427%2C23859929%2C24630404%2C9449243&rtn=6&feature=playlist&afmt=250&size=768%3A1365&inview=0.76 has a request size of 2.6KiB

Hi team,

I really don’t know what the problem is, I’ve checked everything several times. I’ve emptied cache. I’ve deleted and created again… but something is wrong.

On this website, all the buttons work on PC. But only some of them work on a mobile phone.

Website: https://cutt.ly/qeHieYQ

Here you can see the configuration, it’s very simple.

Any advice?

Hello, My page opens in 5 seconds. Pictures are uploaded after 4 seconds on first boot. I did research to solve this problem. I am using Cache and Image optimization plugins. I am using Autoptimize-WP Fastest Cache and TinyPNG. I scanned my website at https://gtmetrix.com/reports/teknobilimadami.com/anjMjEFU the results are sad. I’ve done a detailed scan at this address to correct them in detail.

the https://yellowlab.tools/result/fhw0k1dls

1- Make fewer HTTP requests
(This page has 3 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one)
How do I do this?
2-Add Expires headers (There is 1 static component without a far-future expiration date.)

https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=open+sans%3a300italic%2c400%2c400italic%2c600%2c600italic%2c700%2c300%7croboto%3a300%2c400%2c400italic%2c500%2c500italic%2c700%2c900

3-Reduce the number of DOM elements (There are 3349 DOM elements on the page)

How do I reduce the number of DOMs to less than 1500?

My page opens late. I’m waiting for a quick answer on this. I need your help. I have to get it under 2 seconds.

The system does not detect Any Cache Plugin 🙂

WP Super Cache was used When I start using WordPress.

They are Good.

But, Nowadays… I’m Working in heavy sites…

Clients are Using Premium Plugins.

I optimized the newspaper to at its best using those plugins.

But still, when clients checking the dashboard, it shows a warning.

I hope next update will fix this 🙂

Hi Calin,

Yes, when it happens I empty the cache and then the problem is solved.
But I cannot be looking after all the time.
Wish it would never happen…

Hi,

No, you can use both, but we recommend to use the CDN as in our documentation, in this way there should be no problems.
Usually this problems appear from cache, from what I can see not everything is working normally -> http://prntscr.com/pxf9v7

Thank you!

Hallo Vlad,
did all of the above (deactivated all plugins except tagdiv, cleared cache). Problem still occurs.

It seems like the block designer made a mistake. The problem occurs if the title of the previous article is one row longer. Then the next article block doesn’t get placed below the previous one but on the right side of it where is more space (as you can see on the pictures above).

That should not happen because it makes the “Load More” option on the Flex Block 3 useless. Could you give this information to your design team? I think that would be good for the theme if that would be fixed.

I will make a workaround (use different blocks and so on) but for the future it would be good that this will be fixed.

Thanks.

OK – we don’t use CLoudflare so I’ll see what settings our CDN has that are similar.
Also, just to clarifyu, are you saying that by using a CDN we should not use WP Super-Cache ?

Hey Vlad S ! The problem is solved.

Maybe the cache was not properly wiped.

Thanks for your help.
