Do you maybe have both visual composer and the tagdiv composer plugins active? If so, please disable one of them and only use a single page builder. Having both active at the same time is not recommended.
If this is not the case, please disable all plugins except the page builder and contact form, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I have several developments on this subject.
First, I have to say that problem 2 is already “fixed”. Why do I say “solved” with quotes? Well, because I noticed that the categories also appear in posts in that category. I read that, by default, the background images of the categories appeared in the posts of those categories and this effect could not be disabled (I really wanted the background images to only appear the pages of the categories, not the posts). As a result, I deleted the background images from the categories.
In short: problem number two no longer exists.
With respect to problem number 1 (remember: this problem happened only in iPhones, and was that the main navigation bar, in iPhones, “goes up” and appears to black bar that aesthetically looks very bad).
Well, number one problem still exists. I have not been able to solve the problem. Right now I have all the disabled plugins (except the “tagDiv composer” and “tagDiv Social Counter” plugins) and the problem persists. Even deactivating the “tagDiv composer” and “tagDiv social Counter” plugins, the problem continues.
More info: I have removed all the cache (I even disabled the “WP Super Cache” plugin) and I do not have a “child theme” (or, at least, I have not configured any “child theme”).
I attach these screenshots where you can see the problem (these screenshots are new, they are not the same ones I put in the first post). As you can see, when I navigate with iPhone, the main navigation bar is “up” and that black bar appears.
Therefore, I have created an account with administrator permissions in “wp-admin” I have sent the corresponding credentials to the email contact@tagdiv.com with the necessary information.
(Of course, until you review everything necessary to determine the problem and its possible solution, I will not activate any plugin).

Very minor request, but… the child theme screenshot.png is still suited to Newspaper 7, not 8. Do you mind updating that on next release? It’s pure candy but it makes for a more consistent themes page 🙂

It could have been a plugin conflict, yes that prevented the theme code from working properly. It could have been a child theme or a customization or an optimization tool. It is hard to say now. There is no error log on this so I can only guess at this point, sorry.

In theme panel, I can upload only one custom font type (WOFF). How do I add all types (EOT, TFF, WOFF2) for better browser compatibility?
I tried adding following child theme’s style.css but that didn’t work.

Hi – problem resolved.
Forgot I had created a child theme – made the updates there and it worked perfectly. A child theme may be a better way to go rather than modifying the core theme. Easy to forget which files you have updated.

If this is not caused by a plugin, maybe you have added custom code in the theme panel, or directly to the theme files. Please check the code if that is the case. If you use a child theme switch to the main theme.
You could try a fresh theme install by FTP, and then check if the warnings are still present (make a backup before)

I am going to create a child theme and install the GTM snippet in the header.php. My question is, I noticed two header.php files in the Newspaper theme:
1. header.php
2. mobile/header.php
To ensure that the GTM snippet is globally placed site-wide for all devices (Mobile/Tablet/Desktop…) do I need to place the GTM snippet in both header.php files?

Finally I think I’ve resolved the issue. Here’s my thoughts:
Just before the beginning of my clean-up procedure the malware moved the script to
WP Admin > Newspaper > Theme panel > Custom Code > Custom Javascript
I found the following JS in this field:

If you unpack the above, you’ll get:

So that’s why I couldn’t find the infection in the db.
The first stage of the infection included the following in the WP Admin > Newspaper > Theme panel > Header Ad:

I hope now that I’ve installed fresh copies of WP, theme and plugins the issue will be resolved.

Well, if you install a ‘clean copy’ of the theme, and then it gets re-infected, then there is some malicious code on your site, or the overall site has been hacked.
Did you also remove any child theme if using one?
The version on ThemeForest is not infected.
Did you change *all* your passwords for WP, FTP, and your hosting panel?
Did you try going to an older dbase backup not infected?
We’re not having this issue on any of our sites, so not sure what to tell you beyond that.
