Hi,

I have seen this in a few cases, it is happening because of the new WPBakery update 6.0.3.

We recommend to not update the plugin where possible (purchased premium plugin) until we include the update along theme updates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

The version of WPBakery currently included in the latest theme package is 6.0.2. Please try to use this version and there should be no problem. Let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

Normally there should not be a smaller featured image.

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all plugins and child theme ( if you are using ) and let only the tagDiv Composer , clear all cache, deactivate the cache plugin and try again.

Hi,

The composer can be used for pages and for cloud templates. Now there are cloud templates for most wordpress templates: post, category, author, tag, archive, search etc.

Here you can see the cloud templates designed by us
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/
These can be imported with the cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Once you create or import a cloud post template and apply it, you can use the edit template button in the admin bar. The default post templates can’t be edited with the composer.

So for example if you would like to use a cloud post template, first import one, or create a new one entirely using a blank template – http://prntscr.com/o7rlbz
Then set it for the posts you want.

Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

That will require a modification in file located in the composer plugin. The default limit is set to 1000 categories, which would be considered enough for most cases. You could modify it here
http://prntscr.com/o7rgnj
Note that the modification will be lost after a theme update, when the theme plugins are updated as well.

I’m able to see the tagDiv Composer button for Page types but when I go to Post types the tagDiv Composer button disappears where it would display for Page types.

I’m trying to create a page with TagDiv Composer (Newspaper 9.7.3). The composer is not interactive, i.e. I have to save and reload to see the WYSIWIG layout. Also, I can’t make changes or delete an item, the update wheel just keep rolling… When loading a previously updated page the error: “Error at zones: 5(models) : 4(dom). The model does not match the content” shows.

The child theme is limited after the latest updates. It contains the required files (stylesheet and functions) that you can use if needed. But now copying theme files in it won’t be possible anymore, because the files are in the composer plugin.
You could modify them in the legacy folder directly, but the modifications will be lost after theme updates, when the themes are updated.

Maybe what you are trying to do is possible in a different way however. Please provide some more details about it.

Hi,

okay i got it. if all the files moved to the tagdiv composer plugins legacy folder, there is no point to create any child theme?
since we can do it all on the legacy folder not it the child theme folder.

thanks

Hi,

There are a few cases when that error may appear. If the page you are trying to edit has not been built with the tagDiv composer, or contains elements that were added by other means in it (in the backend of the page for example), or it could be caused by plugins
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

Does the issue happen if you edit a new page, or just for specific page or pages? We could take a look at it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and some mode details if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hello !

In order to display the latest posts in a block you will have to edit it using the tagDiv Composer and set the Sort Order from the Filters tab to Latest, check this picture: https://www.screencast.com/t/yTHlUs9B

I hope this was helfpull !

Hi,

What files are you modifying exactly? Note that after the recent updates most of the theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/o7bm1p
Those are the files that are used when the tagDiv composer is active.

If you could mention what you want to do, I will try to help you. Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Please make sure that you do not have the child theme activate, if you have the child theme the post template will not longer apply.

2. Please check our documentation for sticky sidebars, also make sure that the smart sidebar is enable in Theme panel> Templates settings -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Kga12OyehrB

3. You need to set the inline option on the lements like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/l0Yj7w7IJ

4. Indeed the share text in tagDiv Composer will not hide when you’ll check the option, but if you’ll set the single post template on a post , clear all cache this should be hide.

Thank you!

Hi,

Regarding the issue, note that if you are using the old API plugin will not work anymore. You can use the new creative plugin for this purpose – https://forum.tagdiv.com/developer-info/
Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

The settings for the page content from the theme panel will be used for pages built with the wordpress editors – http://prntscr.com/o7adirhttp://prntscr.com/o7adna
http://prntscr.com/o7adro

The page you mention is built with the composer, using text with title elements. Please edit the page with the composer and make the desired font changes there – http://prntscr.com/o7aer9

Note that you can copy the style of one element once you configure it, then paste it to the others
http://prntscr.com/o7ag3mhttp://prntscr.com/o7agah

If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks

Hello !

The code i’ve sent you it should work for the desktop version but indeed it appears no to. I’ve seen that you have pasted your code into a HTML element. The HTML element has a padding top on your page. Please use the tagDiv Composer, select the ROW of the HTML element and insert number 0 in order to fix your problem: https://www.screencast.com/t/Jjy8L2ejXgS

Also the mobile version looks perfect to me as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/mmMbq66SC

Please let me know if i’ve missed something.

Thank you !

Hi,

The infinite loading works only with cloud post templates. The initial post must use a cloud template where you can enable the infinite load, for the rest of the posts that are loaded is not necessary.

The theme provides 3 ad spots for the article content, both for the default post templates and also for cloud templates. Other than these, more ads in the post content could only be inserted with plugins maybe, or directly in the content manually.

Note that in the cloud post templates the ad codes have to be entered in the composer directly, in the post content element – http://prntscr.com/o7a8oc

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

You can change the title for the latest articles section, in it’s settings. Edit the respective page with the composer and access the page settings
http://prntscr.com/o799e5http://prntscr.com/o799h4

The business demo contains a customization for all the block titles, the top line that you mention is one of them. By default that block header template (template 11) looks like this
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-11/
I can provide a code that will make it look like in the demo. First you must use block header template 11, then enter this code in the Theme panel custom CSS section

.td_block_template_11 .td-block-title:after {
height: 1px;
}
.td_block_template_11 .td-block-title:before {
display: none;
}

So for example, set the template in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/o7a1id
Then enter the code, and the result will be as in the demo – http://prntscr.com/o7a1ri

If you have more questions, let me know.
Thanks

Hello !

To increase the number of posts visible on a block you will have to edit the block using the tagDiv Composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/5wPPWSTZdH After you have activated the tagDiv Composer you can simply click on the block you want and on the left side of the screen you will find the Limit Post Number tab. Edit that with the amount you want to be shown, as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/eDpuQfQeLJE

I hope this was helpfull !

Thank you !
