Hi, I’m testing Newspaper 9 on my localhost using MAMP before upgrading my site’s theme but I found some problems.
Even if I set “off” the button in Newspaper>Theme panel>Block settings>Category tag on Modules/Blocks>”MODULE FLEX 1>td_flex_bloock_1″, the flex blocks 1 in my home page keep on showing the category tags.
I tried to hide the category tags manually using the TDComposer plugin, but after I set “Hide” to 10/15 flex block 1 on my homepage, the TDComposer doesn’t save changes any more.
I click on the “Save the page content” icon on top of the TDComposer panel and it appears the rotating circle of the saving process but it never stops and there is no green band that tells me the modifications have been saved.
The previous versions of Newspaper, the one that is running on my website, doesn’t have this problem.

If that is a widget sidebar you can modify them in Appearance->Widgets

All the sidebars will be there. If it’s not a widget sidebar, edit the page with the composer and modify it there.

That will not be easy unfortunately, the black demo contains a lot of customization in order to be as it is.
The unique style is achieved in most part with custom CSS, this is imported when the demo is installed. There would be nothing special about that demo other then the dark tint.
Maybe you don’t need the black demo. The tagDiv composer will allow you to set a background color for most elements

Hi, I’m a beginner and struggling to edit mobile view.
Right now, my blog’s mobile view is showing the custom mobile theme and want to show the same view as the desktop (The block setting shown on the desktop view is not shown on the mobile view). The same view is shown for all devices when previewing on the TD composer.
Also, in each category page on mobile view, there are tags (or small menu?) shown below the category title such as “Beauty”. How and where can I remove these tags?
I’m using only the Newspaper theme and have not downloaded any plugins for mobile theme.

I will try to help you. So this is about the excerpt length. The length can be customized in general in the theme panel, or in the composer which is per element and module.
You can set any limit in words or letters you want, and it will be displayed accordingly

This is not difficult to do, simply set the length you want for the title and/or excerpt and the module will display it like that. The theme panel excerpt settings will be in general.

– If in the composer they will affect that element only, for example a block where you set the custom length values. Those are the more specific settings
– If in the theme panel they should be general. Once a length is set for a module, everywhere it appears it should be the same.

Simply drag and drop it where you want it to appear. Post templates can now be created with the tagDiv composer. You can start from blank, or import from the templates made by us (more to come). The imported templates can be modified by you as well.

Yet i have implement second solution because i don’t use a static page.
The reason behind i don’t use a static page is listed below with example:

Example 1.) Without static page, my all pages: /page/2/ /page/3/ /page/4/ …etc. Looks like [Softfully.com | Page 2 of 69 | Free Download Software] so this looks niche.
Example 2.) With static page, my all pages: /page/2/ /page/3/ /page/4/ …etc. Looks like [Softfully.com | Free Download Software – Page 2] so this looks bad.
So issue is with %%page%% with Yoast SEO and for that reason i don’t like static page. (Page 2 of 69 GOOD, Page – 2 BAD)

The tagDiv composer will allow the same functionality and more. You can build a page in any way possible, there are 10 types of full width grids for example

Can’t activate both tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud plugins after this new theme version 9.0.1.
tagDiv Cloud requires tagDiv Composer. But can’t activate “tagDiv Composer” plugin first.

With WPBakery the row containing the full grid will have to be stretched in order to have a full grid, but the grid may not look as it is supposed to

The full width grids look properly when the page is built with the tagDiv composer. Drag and drop the full grid, that is all. A thing to note is that if there is a background color or image set the grid will not be full width.

We are running a site in German and have encountered Problems with Umlaut in the TagDiv Composer Sites.
The problem occurs after posting or writting a text in a text elemente (title with text) then save the page, which is still ok. if we then Edit the page later all the Umlaut get messed up

Almost 2 days ago I wrote here to get a support. I’m a new user of Newspaper theme. I try to create a new page, but there isn’t TD Composer button there as it was shown in tutorials. Also new page itself is different than one in the tutorial. Could you please help me solve the issue?

You can’t put ads outside the main with the TD Composer

Unfortunately, please notice that the Meta Slider plugin has not been tested with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Please make and provide me some useful screenshots with your Composer configuration so I can see what you want to achieve. Use only TD Composer elements if you want to achieve good results.

That will not work, the shortcode will be displayed as text if the tagDiv composer is not active.
Best you use that plugin, it seems to work great. Or with some CSS as above, that would work as well.

The latest articles title is different, that happens because of the gadgets demo design. When installing a demo there will be a custom design imported.
That demo uses block header template 5 with some modifications. Also it uses a bigger font-size and line-height for the titles.
What happened is that in the demo stylesheet there is some customization that will apply to a few blocks, for the block title

If you remove the code it will not load anymore and the block titles will be as default.
