I’m very disappointed with recent changes made to Newspaper theme.
Visual Composer was awesome and could apply to posts and not only pages which I absolutely need !
I read on the forum that we could continue using VC if we wanted but that following improvements will only apply on TD Composer.
Yeah… but you disabled frontend editing with VC, which is a really helpful feature when it comes to editing CSS !
Don’t mind about future improvements as I got all I need with VC so is there a way to disable TD composer and bring back the frontend use of VC ?
After last update, tagdiv Composer don’t work.
I don’t see TagDiv Composer Button on backend editor. If i try to modify the pages created with it, the system show me bar alert like “This current content hasn’t a page created bu tagDiv Composer”
Hi,
I have tested the composer with Google Chrome. I don´t use Safari.
The interface looks properly in PC
Hello,
Using visual composer on posts was never supported in our theme. We always advised against it. If you want to move over to the tagdiv composer, you will have to remove any vc code from your post. The width change you made in css will impact other parts of the site as well. It is not a solution. The only proper solution is to remove VC elements from your posts.
Thank you!
When i activate the tagdiv composer plugin, the site dashboard becomes blank
Hello João Pedro F.,
There was added a gradient and that’s why this rule was hardcoded. If you want to use another color for this section you should choose what color you want from the Composer and then add the following code to Theme panel.
The code is here ->
.td-dentist .tdm_block_testimonial .tds-testimonial3 .tdm-testimonial-descr {
background:transparent;
}
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
There was an issue with the icons not displaying in the actual page, despite them appearing in the composer page. That could be the issue here. This was brought to our attention shortly after the theme has been updated. We fixed it and re-uploaded the theme package. You could download the theme package again re-install the theme. There should be no more icons issues anymore. Let us know. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hello raebild,
I have checked before your setup page and I did not saw any problem with your TD Composer Every element seems to work as expected. Provide more details and screens with the problem if this will be there. Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Dear tagDiv-Team,
we are using Newspaper template but we currently get an error on the home page when scrolling:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'top' of undefined
at tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=8.7.2:284
We read through the forum and did the solution with deactivating all plugins but no luck. The only thing we noticed is that the error disappeared SOMETIMES when we deactivated either tagDiv Composer or WPBakery Visual Composer – but these are needed Plugins and we can not simply deactivate them.
UPDATE: Deactivated all Plugins except tagDiv Composer and get the error. Activated all Plugins except tagDiv Composer, error still appears. Activated all Plugins and deactivated both tagDiv Composer and WPBakery Visual Composer – the error dissapears.
Could you please help us here?
Hello jmedina0107,
Sorry but the TD Composer has been designed to be used only for pages and not for posts, unfortunately.
Thanks for your understanding!
First, wanted to say I’m in LOVE with the theme and super happy with the results.
I want to add an About page and create it from scratch with TagDiv Composer.
All the plugins are the most recent downloads and everything is activated.
For some reason, certain multipurpose elements get stuck loading infinitely, therefore not allowing me to save.

Hi Alin,
It is a fresh installation on a local server using MAMP so wouldn’t be able to provide a login. I do not have any other plugins active, so that’s not a possibility. I’ve also tried it on a live installation but it’s the same thing. I already tried clearing the browser caches on Mac Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Firefox Developer Edition with no luck. Perhaps you can provide a screenshot of what your TD Composer editor screen looks like. As I played around with it more, I can still “get by” but it’s just distracting to have the right margin cut off like that. I may just go back to WP Bakery to keep it simple. Cheers
I have also a Newsmag4 license at this page ww.acr.dk
Seems we have a problem with Add element panel in TD Composer – se file http://prntscr.com/ips8yi
I tried to reinstall TD Composer, any idea where to find this problem ?
Hi. I hope I haven’t duplicated another question, I did multiple searches but maybe didn’t use the right keywords.
After I add an element with the tagdiv composer, I can’t delete it. If I use the trash icon or drag it to the delete area, the browser gets a dark overlay and nothing happens. If I then click on the browser area, the overlay goes away, but nothing was deleted. I have to go into the regular page editor and delete the shortcode to remove anything. This happens in Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Maybe I have a setting wrong? Thanks in advance, Bob.
Hello!
I have a new installation with the latest versions, using the DENTAL STUDIO theme.
Editing with TD Composer some features to change the colors is not available.
Please see the images:

I’ve uninstalled and re-installed and now the TagDiv Composer button is gone completely in a post and page
Hi , when i try to edit from front end and clicked to “Edit With TD composers” only blank page shows, not my page that i have created.. why?
Hi there,
I’m trying to use the Tagdiv composer, but every time I create a page, save it, and re-open, it is blank. The code is saved and in my revision history, but even pulling up the standard editor reveals nothing. It’s impossible to use in this state. Any ideas for a fix?
Please make this fix a high priority. I want to use the composer, but having it broken obviously makes it impossible. Any workarounds?
The tagdiv composer has an option to stretch the rows. See this https://www.screencast.com/t/RlJHQWPbpFHU
I am assuming you are using a custom homepage. Open the page with the tagdiv composer and search for “column text” element in the add new element section. Then click on edit content and paste your shortcode there. (I don’t work here).
Hi,
Few observations. I actually removed couple of plugins like ‘wp-forms lite’, ‘wp-smush’ which were working earlier fine with the previous version of newspaper but non-admins are not accessing the wordpress properly with them. I have removed them but still the ’tagDiv Composer’ is creating problems. When i remove it, ‘all posts’ for non-admin users comes to display. So i believe apart from other plugins i mentioned earlier, tagDiv Composer is also giving problems. You can see in the screenshot http://prntscr.com/ip9g6b that no post being displayed for the non-admin user
For now i am turning back to the previous stable version of newspaper. could you deeply check it on the above grounds?

I just upgraded from 7.5 – 8.7 – It went amazingly smoothly – Thanks!
I now really want to move away from the old composer and on to tagdiv composer, although I have one small problem
When I activate TagDiv Composer it affects the layout of my post pages that all use the following shortcode:
[vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"]
[/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"]
[/vc_column][/vc_row]
Without – https://imgur.com/xxIXxQp
With TagDiv on – https://imgur.com/CONhpJi
Is there a solution to this?
Kind Regards
Simon
Fixed!
Reason: An mb_detect_encoding() error in the footer was causing the page to break hence not loading all js scripts required for td-composer plugin to load preview.
Just in case someone else has this problem in the future…
Install all wordpress required php extensions … in my case was mbstring & gd libraries …
sudo apt install php7.0-mbstring
sudo apt install php7.0-gd
And very important don’t forget to restart the apache service
sudo systemctl restart apache2
Hi Catalin
I have send the info this morning.
Just for your info – i tried today to do a fully new installation, i wanted to check if there was any problem with my installation.
Im afraid its a problem related to TD Composer, i had same result in the new installation.
Is it an idea using Visual Composer instead? Where can it be downloaded?
