It is your pages that get this behavior. Most likely you have settings on those pages that break the mobile layout.
Please check your blocks design options. You added margins and padding to the elements and they are affecting the mobile version as well. You can add those values for each viewport in particular from the tagdiv composer block settings.

What you are experiencing is highly unusual. Since it’s introduction the tagDiv composer has always worked properly in our tests with the theme version and the WordPress version at the time. As long as the theme requirements are met both should work.
Slowness could be related to insufficient resources allocated to WordPress. There is a general guide that you could follow

Maybe you are using the tagDiv composer to edit pages built with Visual composer, that should not be attempted. Try it on a new page and check if it works properly.

Much has changes since the version you are using. WordPress and theme should always be kept up to date. Each update will provide improvements.
We do not have a theme install department unfortunately, but you could try it yourself.
You could update the theme using this guide

The FTP method would be the most recommended in the matter. Make a backup before, it is always recommended to do so.
Update WordPress (if you did not already) as well as the theme included plugins. Let us know if you should encounter any problems.
A thing to note is that the tagDiv composer plugin will be activated by default when you make the update. Visual composer specific elements may not display properly, deactivate the tagDiv composer if this happens.

Content for mobile pages has to be entered through the mobile editor

Page content built with the composer will not be displayed on mobile, when the mobile plugin is active.
Note that this plugin is not required, if you want the same content from desktop to be shown on mobile, simply deactivate it. The main theme is fully responsive.

1. On mobile, mega-menus will not be displayed. The mobile menu is limited to drop-down style. Some of the menu items in the header menu do not link anywhere on desktop and on mobile. If these are categories please re-add them in the menu as categories

So they would lead somewhere on the website. Regardless of mobile plugin used or not, the mobile menu will still look the same in design. A difference would be that if the mobile plugin is used, a different menu can be set for mobile

Page content built with composers will not be displayed on mobile if the mobile plugin is used. Mobile pages are restricted to the mobile editor.
The mobile theme is intended to present a lighter version of the website, optimized for mobile devices. There will be predefined front page templates, category page, post page etc.

There are no dedicated options to add links in this element, or the other information you mention, except the description field.
The composer will receive more options and feature over future updates however.

If that option does not appear for you, in almost all similar cases plugins were to blame. There could be a plugin installed that is responsible. Only way to check is by deactivating all plugins except theme plugins. Then see if the option appears.

2. Each page can be constructed as you wish. The composer allows many possibilities. If you are not using the composer for the pages you mention, then the page content is fixed in width. Without a sidebar it will occupy the whole available space.

There is no problem selecting the element from what I can see

Clicking on the elements area will select it, not the column. It has enough height to allow a proper selection. If this is not how it looks for, you please try as a first step to deactivate all plugins except the theme plugins. Check if this has any effect.

The tagDiv composer or Visual composer cannot be used to create mobile pages. If you want to display pages built with any of these composers on mobile, deactivate the mobile theme plugin.
The mobile plugin is meant to be used if you want to show a lighter version of the website for improved performance on mobile

The composer and multi-purpose plugins are created specifically for the theme, so there would be no issues to use them properly. Other factors are usually the cause for such issues. Check if all the parameters mentioned in the guide are set to the mentioned values

The composer row background supports only YouTube video source for the moment. Other sources are not available, there might be modifications made to this feature but I cannot say for sure.
