Hi,
The Visual composer is provided in the theme package and it is working properly. Try using that version from the plugins folder in the theme bundle and see if it is displaying as an option in the backend. It could be happening because you are using a different Visual composer.
Thanks
Hello bert.deelman,
Please keep in mind that you cannot use the TD Composer to edit a page which was created with Visual Composer and vice versa, sorry! The homepage/page should have to be created only with TD Composer and further you will have to edit it only with this page builder. Before creating/edition your pages, ensure that you have enabled only one-page builder. Both plugins, if active, do not work well.
If the problem is still there and if you are not using any other untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of problems, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The issue is the row itself. It is not a full width row. It uses span8 which is 66.666% of the total available space.
Please recreate the row and make sure it’s not split into multiple spans from the visual composer row settings.
https://www.screencast.com/t/tSzjRKJvN0
Please make the row full like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/ZEdOeO0usMwR
Thank you!
I uploaded plugin visual composer from Newspaper-tf/plugins/js_composer.zip file ( V.8)
but i can not insall ,they say “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2017/06.”
How can i do?
Hi,
I don’t know how exactly are you splitting the row in that layout. There is no option to split the row like that in the row settings of tagDiv composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RkTQtBJHZ
Maybe I am misunderstanding something.
Thanks
Ive never had an issue before 8 with visual composer. Im trying to make multiple columns on my homepage like in the demos. In the tagdiv editor I can’t drag content to the right to make a new column.
Switching from Visual Composer to the tagDiv Composer was fairly quick and easy, but there are a few things missing that were available in VC:
– Button
– Call to Action
– WP Tag cloud
Perhaps I missed those in the new TDC?
If they are indeed not available, do you plan to add them to TDC and when?
Thanks!
Hey,
I followed these steps and rebuilt the entire site (unzipping wp-content from a NewsMag page and putting in the database to a new install, then disabling all plugins except page builder, installing NewsPaper 8, installing updated page builder, installing updated td_composer, then following memory parameters guide for wp-config and .htaccess changes).
There was no caching on the WordPress site but I cleared my browser cache.
I still have the same issue. I can tell that at least the max_upload_size did successfully change to 50mb because I can see this on the media upload page.
Anything else I could do to troubleshoot? Potential issues: it’s a large site (13gb tar.gz for wp-content and 300mb MySQL database), and previously is on NewsMag.
Thanks!
Joey
Edit: This is all without installing or activating the child theme.

Hi
I updated to Newspaper 8 and installed tagdiv composer. When I tried to use VC after that it has stoppe dshowing up in the backend and gives me this message ‘You have an outdated version of Visual Composer Design Options. It is required to review and save it.’
I have the latest version of VC (licensed) 5.1.1 and have tried to follow advice elsewhere on the forum but to no avail.
Is this a known issue and can you point in the right direction to fix it.
Also, can you confirm I can still use VC with ver. 8
Thanks
Daragh
Hey,
I’ve got an issue on connectorganic.com/directory.
At the bottom of the page you’ll notice a brown section that says “Want to be listed in our organic farming directory?”
That content, even though it’s centered (using Visual Composer), is pushed to the left and I am not using a sidebar.
Do you know what the issue may be?
Hi,
Please make sure the thumbnails used are enabled in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
Also in almost all cases involving image problems, plugins are to blame. You could try to disable all of them except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if this fixes the problem. The theme lazyload feature is the first to brake in case of plugin conflicts and could be causing the issue. You could try disabling it in the theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/3vF9ECvH
Please note that the theme does not support RTL at the moment, this may lead to unexpected results, like the issue with the menu and maybe others. At the moment it seems to be working properly, there is no problem that I can see with the mega-menu

Hi,
You can try the FTP method to update the theme. Here is a guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Of course you should still take in consideration the steps before you update the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Visual composer is still available in the theme package and you can use it accordingly. After you update the theme just deactivate it from the plugins section. More information about the new tagDiv editor and the transition to it

Thanks
Hi,
I could not give you exact information about what will happen in the future updates. You can keep using Visual composer for the moment. There is no rush to make the transition to the new page editor. I believe there will be a notification when Visual composer will no longer be supported, giving you enough time to make a decision. Future updates will also add new features and options only for the tagDiv composer.
In this topic Chris provides advice about how one should make the transition to the new pages, and substitute them without any losses

Hi,
I did not update with FTP. Just using the import from WP it selfs. What is the difference? The theme is working like a charm. The TD composer also, but I cannot save because of the layer, see my snap. I am not using VC. So why the link to switch over form TB to VC? I need no transition document.
System status is check, all green. Beside of max_input_vars. I asked my provider if it can be increment.
Regards,
Bert
I have tried to use both the WordPress theme updater and the Envato Marketplace tool to update the theme. With Envato Marketplace the update never finishes and with WP Theme update I get: Update Failed: Update package not available.
Please can you advise.
When I update – will I still be able to use Visual Composer – I don’t want a front end builder.
Keith
Okay, so you decided to migrate from Visual Composer to Tagdiv Composer. I don’t like it at all and unlike my experience with Tagdiv there are now more questions than answers. Here are a few of my questions:
– I’m perfectly satisfied with my site (lochemsnieuws.nl) as it is and i do not have the time to rebuild every single page. First question is: how long can i keep using Visual Composer? Will you stop updating the plugin? In that case i would have to buy a VC-license.
– When i ever decide to rebuild pages in Tagdiv Compoper what will happen with page links?
Hello bert.deelman,
First of all, ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP way and then check your system status to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ For more information about TD Composer and the transitions between our builder and Visual Composer, please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for the message!
I made some tests:
1) every box “text with title” in the pages of my site lost formatting with activation of tagdiv visual composer
2) If I create a new page with tagdiv composer and I insert a box “text with title” I saw the box:
– correctly formatted in the preview of tagdiv composer
– without formatting in the preview of wordpress
– without formatting in the online published page
3) If I deactivate the tagdiv composer in the plugins section, the boxes “Text with title” in all pages (old and new) has shown with correct formatting
4) clear cache pages doesn’t recolve the problem
Thanks for your support
Hi,
Please try to deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin from the plugins section and clear any caching installed on your website. Then check if the elements on your page are displaying properly.
Thanks
Hi,
You can use most of elements available in the theme in the sidebar, either via the page editor or by editing the sidebar in the widgets section. If you are using a split row sidebar simply edit the page with the page composer you used to create it, and remove that block and add other elements in it’s place
– https://www.screencast.com/t/n9JxzJ1rgp3
If you are using a Widget sidebar you need to go to the widgets section and make the change to the sidebar you want there

Thanks
Hello kalabakos,
I have tried to add 3 columns on my side with TD-Composer and everything seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4aw8j0csCY and the result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lAtibrqoB
If the problem is not this, provide more details about this case, give me your website so I can check it and also, some useful screenshots so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello pavel,
Unfortunately, this type of layout has not been designed to be used in our theme, sorry! This was our developer’s decision when the theme was been created, sorry! For more information about this, please check our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The save button at the tagDiv Composer is not shown. It is behind a black layer.
Regards,
Bert
Hello Adadavi07,
If the page was created with the Visual Composer, you should edit the page with this plugin and if it was created with TD Composer you should edit it with our builder. For more information about the transitions between these page builders, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
The tagDiv composer does have some level of influence on pages created in Visual composer, by simply being active. It is also activated by default when you update the theme to the latest version. You can keep it deactivated for the moment until you decide to make the transition to it. There is no rush, you can still use Visual composer. But in future updates more options wand features will be added and available only for the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
